This mornings commute at the bay bridge toll plaza, 18 minutes. Lets take a look. As you said, remember, i showed you the toll plaza. Now they turned the metering lights on and there is a crowd. There is a coast guard investigation in the port of oakland after 11 huge shipping containers fell off a cargo ship into the bay. It happened near berths 25 and 26 which is not far from the bay bridge toll plaza. Ktvus lee martinez is there at the port of oakland where divers are expected to investigate. Lee . Reporter good morning. Divers are expected to arrive around sunrise. We are told that the vessel traffic is very light on thursdays and fridays so he does not expect any destruction with this search. This is part of of a japanese shipping line, docked in an area called middle harbor. 11 containers were reported to have fallen into the bay. All the containers were empty, which is a good thing. There was no injury, which is another good thing. And there were no leaks reported. San francisco was able to quickly secure some of the containers but five or 6 00 of the metal container, sank. The coast guard sent out an investigative team. Thats where we are, waiting for the divers to come out to do their investigation. We did see a ship out here that could belong to the coast guard but we didnt get a clear enough look at it yet. The coast garth will be doing their investigation and there is a possibility that shipping vessel could receive some signs but we are told by the port of oakland its not likely since the containers were empty when they went in. Members of the San Francisco board of supervisors say that the city should have done more to help in the heat wave. It was 206 degrees, the hottest day in San Franciscos recorded history. Supervisor airport peskin called a meeting to talk to the agencies responsible for the cooling centers. Three people died because of that heat, the medical exercise. The heat reis sons plans says that when the mercury goes as high as 94, we should have actually been opening cooling centers. We are not in the blame game. One of the major differences is that starting in 2027, this bill would completelyey lip nate funding for the Affordable Health care act without replacing it. Republican senators Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and bill cassidy of louisiana say that their bill would repeal the Affordable Health care acts mandate that everyone buy insurance and repeal subsidies by the year 2020 that help people pay their premiums. Aint would cut funding for medicaid and it would cut funding for medicaid partially replacing it with state block grants. California and other states that have expanded medicaid would be hit the hardest. This is the first of the aca repeal bills that insurers have clearly said, no, we are oppose this.
