Many animals displaced by harvey and dozens of cats and dogs in texas arrived in San Francisco. The shelters in austin inundated with animals. Several bay area rescue groups have stepped up to help. Reporter these animals arrived here at 9 pm on a private plane filled to capacity. Right now, they are getting medically checked, settled in and ready for adoption. Its a fresh start for these fourlegged friends. It was an emotional scene, they were crying. A lot of hardcore volunteers were crying. They were so happy and excited. Reporter she founded the dog rescue along with the San Francisco spca and others taking care of 69 dogs and cats from the shelter. They are helping the shelter clear space and make room since its now flooded with thousands of animals who lost their homes or families, displaced from the hurricane. By bringing in these animals of finding them homes, though shelters will rescue those and hopefully ultimately reunite them. The heart of animal lovers all over the states have gone out. We feel for the victims of the flood. Reporter many pets get lost in the chaos in a major disaster.
