The weather is starting to let up but most of the areas remain underwater. This is going to be a busy place today. This is where the Texas National guard as staging its rescue operations. There is a tremendous amount of work ahead. From the air, you can see what houston so faces today. And her neighborhood so underwater and clearing skies will only go so far. We are not done with the flooding even if the skies are clear. The death toll is rising, among the casualties, Houston Police officer steve perez who was trapped in his vehicle well responding to the storm. Once our dive team got there, it was too treacherous to go under and look for him. Shelters are openinground houston to accommodate thousands and thousands of evacuees.
