Yes, our tree main goals, every single day, is number one, reducing shootings and homicides. Number two, reducing encars ration rates. And most importantly, restoring and establishing a better relationship with the community. Reporter this sends a strong antiviolence message, but it is not going to work without the communitys help. How does that work . Well, we recognize there is only a certain amount of people involved in violence here in oakland. We spend a lot of time reaching out to the individuals, offering them a way out, different alternative toss their current lifestyles and asking them to put down their guns and stop being engaged in violence and we also tell them in you choose not to follow this path of doing things right, we can doffing we can to hold you accountable. This is echoed not only with the police department, our Outreach Services and our community. Reporter and the word is out there.
