Alex savidge is joining us now with what police are saying about all of this. Alex. Reporter it was a wild scene in this neighborhood last night. A an out of control car veered off the road and smashed into three parked cars. This one was oneover them here. You can see the damage that was done. There is another car right there. When police got to the scene they found the driver of the car that jumped off the roadway was dead behind the wheel. This crash led to a number of 911 calls. This is redwood parkway near glen view circle. One neighbor reported hearing gunfire. This was all before 10 00 last night. Now when Vallejo Police officers got out here that is when they found the driver shot dead. Struck two vehicles that were parked in a driveway and ultimately get a third vehicle that was parked out on the roadway. Reporter and police have not released the name of the victim in this case. There have also been no arrests thus far by Vallejo Police. I will say not moved for awhile. Looks like a horrendous scene. Cleanup continues after a wild fire in clear lake damaged three vehicles. The fire was reported on dam road. The fire caused minor damage to a nearby complex. One man watched the flames from his apartment window. It moved quickly to the trees. The trees all the way over to b building, down the hill. Wrapped back up around walmart. Cal fire crews teamed up with local Fire Agencies to put the fire quickly out even though it was less than ten acres. More than 100 firefighters showed up with numerous Fire Fighting vehicles. Over all no one was hurt. Fire crews made significant progress on the rag fire. As of last night the flames were 65 contained. Cal fire also reports the fire has burned less acreage than initially thought. It has burned 6600 acres. It was set to be nearly 7,000. Saturday morning all evacuation orders were lifted. The divers fire is 90 con contained. San Francisco Police and the San Mateo CountySheriffs Office are investigating an officer involved shooting that happened near sfo over the weekend. It was a complicated crime scene involving a car theft and attempted carjacking. Noel walker has more on the event. Officers are allowed to defend themselves from serious injuries or death or others. Reporter just before 7 00 a. M. , San FranciscoPolice Officers assigned to the airport got a call about a possible hit and run between this white sedan and a light pole. The car had been stolen from a San Francisco marathon runner who parked her car near the airport. Police say the driver ran into longterm parking. The officer thinking this driver might ail reporter when the driver refused to move, police say the suspect ran down this embankment, hid in bushes, and ran across the freeway. Attempting to carjack other cars that had stopped. The suspect instead walked toward the officer who fired two shots. One shot is fired. It did not strike the suspect. The sus continues to come at officer. One of the officers heard the suspect saying shoot me, shoot me. Reporter the second shot hit the suspect injuring him and closing the road for hours. Is is the Sheriffs Department in San Mateo County is involved in the investigation. A Transit AuthorityPolice Officer in cleveland, ohio is accused of pepper spraying a crowd leaving a conference. The incident started yesterday afternoon when officers stopped a 14yearold boy who was accused of being intoxicated. Transit Officials Say officers used pepper spray when the crowds would not leave. Berkeley Property Owners will soon start receiving letters about the new city ordnance to inspect apartment buildings.
