San Francisco Police officers got a call about a hit and run between this white car and a light pole. The car was stolen from a marathon runner who park ped here parked her car near the airport. An officer saw the suspect, he was trying to carjack this red car. The officer thinking that this driver might be an accomplice to whatever the original crime had taken place, orders the driver not to drive. Reporter the driver was a attempted carjacking victim. When the driver refused to move the suspect ran down the embankment, hid in bushes and ran across the freeway, attempting to carjack other cars that had stopped. Police say the officer ordered the suspect to stop and drop his backpack. But the suspect instead walked towards the officer who fired two shots. One shot is fired. It does not strike the suspect. The suspect continues to come at the officer, one of the other officers can hear the suspect saying shoot me, shoot me. Second shot hit it suspect, thejuring him and closing the injuring him and closing the road for hours. Reporter Police Describe his condition as stable. The officer is from San FranciscoPolice Department because they patrol the airport grounds.
