In pittsburg, police say they have busted one of the largest hash oil labs in the state. Five people were also arrested. Investigators say almost the entire home on prominade drive was used to grow marijuana. There were rooms to take out the thc. One thing that makes hash oil labs so dangerous is butane is used to make the oil and it is extremely volatile. Just today the state Senate Unanimously passed a bill that would make producing hash oil an aggravated felony. The bill is designed to create a greater charge for those making hash oil in residential areas. A total of 33 suspects were arrested in an elaborate and complicated scam. It included fraudulent claims costing Insurance Companies such as geico, all state and century half a million dollars. Officials say the suspects would stage crashes all over Santa Clara County intentionally damaging their older model cars and then told the insurer they were distracted and spilled coffee on themselves. This is a huge scam and we hope these arrests deliver a blow to this type of insurance scam. Reporter the name for the operation was coffee break. 10 of the suspects were arraigned today. The city of San Francisco spends more than 150 million every year trying to get the homeless off the streets. So he signed up with the National Registry to receive a kidney donation. But he was told the wait would be eight years. I still couldnt really get it together. Reporter including members of her Weight Loss Support Group where she had met Michelle Jarrett just late last year. I thought about those beautiful kids.
