A Bay Area School district has put a halt on plans to resurface an Athletic Field after parents raised concerns about a material called crumb rubber. The renovation of the Athletic Field at mill Valleys High School is almost complete. But as ktvu has previously reported some believe crumb rubber fields pose a cancer risk. But that will cost millions that will likely come by Fund Raising Efforts by the community. When we look back 10 years from now i think were going to look back and say 70,000 was a really cheap way to improve, to improve the safety and health of our kid. Reporter that was Ken Pritchett reporting. Larry hill has legislation that would prohibit the use of crumb rubber in artificial turf fields until 2018.
