People are really needing some like relief right now wondering like overthecounter medications year. Youre recommending to your patients and also if theres things we can do like closing windows, washing, you know, washing our hair face before we go to bed. And then people also say you should try to eat local honey, im wondering what you think about that. Yes, yes, still even in terms of allergies, i think prevention is sometimes the best treatment. So whatever you can do to kind of minimize your exposure, exposure when possible. I know its not always possible. So like you said, keeping windows closed. I tell folks when they come home after a whole day outside shower quickly get it off of change clothes. And then local honey, that is a great question. Once you ready to that, luck, allergies. Not sure how much that will help you in the media time. But local honey is something that will be good for microbiome. Its nutrition sits you cant hurt you. And it might just help you down the many months from now. So it definitely should try, but im not sure how much relief that will give in the new year in the near term. Good to know. Last question here. Just one. When patients come into your office, how can you tell if it is an allergy and not just a cold or maybe covid . Oh, thats a great questions. So one of them, what greatest indicators is stable . The patient will tell us theyll say this is the season. This is the give no other symptoms that theyre they dont have a fever. They dont have other symptoms like vomiting abdominal pains. And those are kind of the ones you can out another quick way. I can tell as you try any histamines, are you try your usual out mess that help you . And if it helps chances are its allergy that that being said viral symptoms can also sometimes overlap. And its hard to tease it but usually its ongoing. Get more fatigue, fever, those are all signs that that is more viral and not allergies. Doctor team thats in here with Stanford Medicine. Some parts in the mid morning and maybe the afternoon. But it is cloudy at Half Moon Bay at last check. So you can see the clouds really just right off shore, hanging out by the coastline there inland. We are sunny. We do have High Pressure offshore and is keeping activity to the north of us. And that is keeping us mild, mostly dry. But with the clouds over by the coast there. So heres that future cast model. You can daly, city and Half Moon Bay. You will see that cloud cover roll in towards the evening and the overnight. Thats when it reaches the valleys and then that will stick around in the morning. So saturday morning looks like were going to see some coastal fog and some clouds. It will start to mix out by the afternoon. So inland, very similar set up to today, not as cloudy as yesterday, though. So youll see more sunny skies inland. And you can the view here from the city tampa cam sutro cam. So 57 degrees in San Francisco, 70 in concord and livermore. San jose where in the 70s as well upper 50s over at Half Moon Bay. Heres that 7 day outlook.
