Use this technology to do many things identifying missing persons solving child abduction cases analyzing rape and assault evidence kits helping local Law Enforcement identify samples collected crime scenes exonerate innocent individuals testify in court and further advance research and developments in forensic science. Bonta says the 12 Million Dollars generated each year for state and local crime labs has resulted in the solving of 106,000 cold cases and the identification of thousands of missing persons through the missing persons dna program. Theres nothing any of us can do to undo the harm or bring back a loved one. Gone too soon. We know that. But our hope is that by seeking justice for those who have whove gone missing or who have been killed by seeking justice for families last sometimes more questions than answers. We can bring some semblance of peace that we can help bring some healing some closure to their lives. If passed, the bill will supply a steady source of funding to keep those dna programs in place.
