So yeah, fires going to be an issue i think of this week. Well see those offshore winds. Right now. Were seeing more of an onshore breeze in the oakland area. You can see those winds out of the west really at 10 miles an hour. And thats significant because that carries a high degree of moisture in the atmosphere. It will slow the progress of any fires. Now as we get later on in the week, these winds are going to become offshore winds and its a whole different story now. They dont look like youre going to be really strong. It looks like theres going to be some light offshore winds, but it will increase the fire danger. I think as we head toward specially wednesday and thursday and possibly into friday, too out the door right now, that sea breeze, though, is carrying some low clouds and some fog. You can see moving in the Golden Gate Bridge right now. But now overall, i want to give you a longrange look at the pattern now. It gets interesting here. Youve got High Pressure off the coastline. They had some pretty good storms already moving to the pacific northwest. Watch what happens here. That ridge starts to build into our north and our east and all of a sudden we get that offshore flow that is so common for this time of year starts to build in. Its going to clear out your skies all the way the coastline. That means you are going to be fog free. The beaches head in toward the next couple of days. The temperatures are going to heat up and were going to see some numbers of the 80s. Maybe couple low 90s out there as well. Then i think that holds right through about saturday. So theres really kind of a sweet spot there between wednesday and saturday. Some spectacular weather. Then that sea breeze kicks in. The fog begins to move back in along the coastline. Now we see the storms begin to move back in as well. So this is that time of year where the systems really change the weather really changes rapidly tonight. It will be mostly clear in that we do have some patchy coastal fog tomorrow, mostly sunny and warm, just about everywhere except out of the beach. Just a little cool there. But then were going to see those offshore winds kicking in by tuesday night into wednesday and plenty of sunshine with warm to hot weather after that. So, yeah, its hard to believe, but weve got some rain up in Northern California are talking about a heat wave, but that ridge is going to be building in very nicely as that ridge builds in. Well, its going to send most that moisture well to the north, even the pacific northwest. Theyre going to catch a break. A jet stream that still keep the most. That storm track well to the north of the bay area. But that is going to bring with it High Pressure and beautiful weather ahead. And you start to see some of the stronger wind gusts over the peaks, but not really, really strong. And so while fire danger will be elevated, doesnt look severe. So just a nice week ahead, temperatures tomorrow start to creep up about 71 degrees downtown San Francisco along the coastline. Still a little cool. Got some patchy fog. Their numbers generally in the 60s inside the bay, the warm sunshine. 75 in millbrae. 77 in burlingame looking to 80 degrees in foster city. Beautiful day there. 78 mount to the south bay filled with 80s by tomorrow afternoon and the east bay point, were warming things up very, very nicely. 83 in fremont, 87 in pleasanton about 81 degrees in hayward.
