And more importantly, guys, look on the left side of your screen. That is the rise of the dumbarton bridge. Notice there is no movement on the left side of the bridge. That is the eastbound direction as the chp, they have their hands full still trying to remove this accident. We understand its an overturned car. Lots of problems involved. Usually, guys, they even allow cars to maybe past an accident and get going in this case. This is quite catastrophic. As you can see, theyre theyre not allowing any cars on the descent side of the dumbarton bridge, which is the eastbound side. They can even go past that accident. So it appears that it is blocked all the way back. I would presume probably even to 101, southbound. So you can see what its doing to traffic in that side and on the westbound side, its no walk in the park either as usually they can and go through here pretty quickly as this is not the workhorse of the east bay. Thats the san mateo bridge and a lot of people use the dumbarton bridges to escape to get from eastbound to the west side to the peninsula. But look at this, james. You can clearly see brake lights are on its a parking lot here and on the other side, it is a vacant parking lot. Back to you. All right. So that Vantage Point looks terrible. But look at just how slow they are. Also the san mateo bridge, very slow in of itself is people are having to take that and rely on that. They cant take the dunbar bridge unless they want to be stuck in over 2 miles of traffic in backup on the westbound side. So again, eastbound 84, right . The causeway is where everything happened. So they shut it down. Lets get a different viewpoint of things out there that we have a caltrans camera just to show you things so that back up there over 2 miles, 84 westbound is where you see the backup and you see nothing on the eastbound side is a try to clean up that gravel from that earlier accident. All right. Lets check out other bridges, though. So the san mateo bridge, the drive times there. Were at about 30 minutes as 80 to 1, but you got to get to the bridge before any of that happens. So things have been slow for a lot of folks trying to take that bay bridge. 21 minutes. Thankfully, we dont have any accidents there. And if you dont drive, take bart. No major delays or accidents along bar or slowest aslo thing slowing you down about 12 minutes long. The richmond sandra bridge and maybe youre taking 101, because youre going to go that route. You take to 37. You see right about 70 minutes in terms of drive times their 85 up to menlo park. So its been a busy morning on the roads. As far as the westbound side, that is not the accident site. But we saw just the Collateral Damage that it did to direction. We actually 8. 80, southbound to get to the toll plaza james and area. And it was backed up a little bit there as well as people who normally take the dumbarton bridge. Well, they were backed up all the way back to 8. 80. It looks like no backup on the westbound side as traffic seems to be moving along. It is the eastbound side. The accident site that is still the major concern. The smart back to you. Ok, well, lets take a look at the fallout now and the Traffic Center with yeah, good morning. Rain the morning. A Little Silver lining there to know that the westbound side there is moving a whole lot better on the dunbar bridges. We also have some gravel spilling out on the highway there. Chp tells me theyre working on trying to clear the gravel off of the bridge as we speak on the eastbound side so they can get folks back up and moving along that bridge, the westbound side. You can see were starting to slow down there just a little bit. So as long as people are unable to take both sides of the bridge, youve got to have settled delays there. Alright, look at the mateo bridge in terms of that drive. 26 minute 80 to 101 for everybody heading across towards peninsula. The bay bridge thankful that there are no accidents there. So you just have to contend with the toll plaza and lights. Slowing down 15 minutes. If youre traveling a richmond, sandra bridge about 12 was slow, certainly because of that.
