Since then, a group called the stud collective, which is the Worker Cooperative that owns the stud has been searching for a new venue for the bar. On tuesday. They announced that they have signed a lease to move the stud to this building on the corner of lincoln and folsom streets. We looked long and hard to find a place that was worthy of the studs legacy. The study is one of San Franciscos most iconic venues. It is almost 60 years old. And for those 60 years and has been bringing arts and culture and music and nightlife to the community here in the south of market, even though they have found a new home for the bar. Theyre proposing dealers who are convicted of selling are distributing fentanyl on a first offense would be given a warning. Should they be arrested for a second drug sale fence in the future . That dealer could be charged with murder if the fentanyl that they sold resulted in someones death, the proposal would also give prosecutors tools to hold drug dealers accountable, inclpding a penalty that could result in 10 to 12 years in prison. We have allowed this to go on too long. We punish Truck Drivers when they kill, but not drug dealers. Why not is is just unfathomable. Whats happening . One of the biggest tools to stop overdoses is now available without a prescription. Several major drugstore chains, including walgreens cvs and rite aid are now selling, nor can nasal spray over the counter. It should be administered as soon as someone shows the signs of an overdose, whether its from fentanyl, heroin or a prescription medication. However, experts say its critical to also called 911 before using the narc can the cost of that one dose spray is raising some out eyebrows with walgreens selling it for 45. A bill that would require Insurance Companies to cover the full cost of narcan is moving through the state legislature right now. Theres new data that saying pharmacies in our state make an estimated 5 million mistakes each year. Thats from the california board of pharmacies. State Officials Say they can only estimate with the mistakes because pharmacies are not required to report them. The la times has reviewed citations issued by the board. Many of the mistakes were at chain pharmacies for the pharmacists often fill hundreds of prescriptions during a shift and they may also have to deal with other things like giving up vaccinations, dealing with people online, calling doctors offices. One pharmacist telling the times that Chain Drug Stores are understaffed and employees are overworked. Cvs and walgreens say that the errors are rare, did not comment on the report. Governor newsom has now signed a bill aimed at better understanding the Atmospheric Rivers that california experiences in the winter and spring, maybe 30 authored by San Diego Assembly member chris ward will expand the Atmospheric River Research Program linking it directly to the state reservoirs operations program. And that program uses technology to predict Atmospheric Rivers ahead of time and helps the water managers better determine how much water to release in order to avoid flooding. Assembly member ward says this could also help the state increase water storage. Assembly bill, 30 basically requires that were linking our atmosphere River Research with damage and Flood Control operations to optimize water so that we cant release and also routine that water for optimizing our water supply. But for the most part over the next few days, we shouldnt see any one slip anywhere past the moderate level. And in fact, i think we get our onshore flow tonight. Were going to see a little more improvement. So you can see that 18 mile per hour winds starting to push things around a little bit. We get the breeze. We get the onshore flow. We start to push any smoke away from us. And that is the case. As we look at models here into the next 48 hours, were looking pretty good. Not bad at all. All right. Heres a look at stormtracker 4. You can see just a little bit of action over in places like utah. But other than that, its pretty quiet today. We have a little clearing at the coast. Even our marine layer gave a Half Moon Bay break out some sunshine out there. But it is certainly on the move and about to change things yet again. So happy bait about 60 degrees right now. You can see the warmth is its inner east bay in spots like livermore. 87 89 in pittsburgh in fairfield up in the 90s. While were just in the 60s and San Francisco, you can see some 70s and 80s up in the north bay. So theyre looking now at the 6 to 10 days ahead of now forecast, right where you can see a good portion countrys going to start cooling down while the west coast is actually to go slightly above average. So this is about from sunday through say wednesday or thursday of next week. But it doesnt last long. We are going to see those temperatures drop down again. So here is the little push that we see as we get into about saturday sunday, monday and then back down into the 80s inland. We go so over the next 7 days, not a whole lot going on in the weather department. As far as wild temperature swings, were just going to keep it kind of california. Cool back to like the sound of that, a south bay brewery is stepping up to help the historic San Francisco anchor brewing san joses fox still from a nation project released a new beer called solidarity over labor day weekend. All proceeds from the beer will be donated to support former anchor brewing workers and their efforts to buy the brewery and reopen it.
