One is a child, the other as his great grandmother, investigators found the bodies during a welfare check. Friday morning crowd was Justin Campbell has details. San jose police do not have any information on who may be responsible for this double homicide, but they spent this past weekend trying to find out who could a very shocking, tragic incident that we are investigating. Now, Sergeant Steve aponte with the San Jose Police department says. Officers spent the weekend collecting evidence and looking for possible witnesses to find out and why someone would kill an elderly woman and her greatgrandson. The motive and circumstances behind this incident are still under investigation. Sergeant pantazes officers arrived this past friday to the Vista Apartments in the buena vista area in san jose for a welfare check upon arrival, it was very clear that there was a crime scene. And afterwards discovered the victims in the location. But it does go against the federal law, which is why the city admits that it also says it wants the council to update the ordinance. So no, just to give you some information back in 2019 courts ruled that cities cant force unsheltered people out of the public space. If they dont have places for them to go now to update and respect that law. Santa rosa city council is considering adopting an ordinance similar to the one that rohnert park has and that would follow the federal law but also restrict camping to specific locations and circumstances along with ours camping wouldnt be allowed in city parks, pedestrian areas, fire lanes near transit hubs or even 100 feet within a school and camping areas could not be larger than 10 by 10 feet. Unpermitted. Electricity will not be allowed in camps cannot be closer than 4 feet apart. Officials say the city is taking this seriously and a state of emergency was declared back in 2016 to help with this. The latest happening in oakland, it was over the weekend. The postal inspector tells us it happened saturday evening right near 30th and linden street. But mail carrier robberies have been on the rise for a couple of months now. Postal Officials Say a mail carrier was robbed at gunpoint in antioch, not far from park middle school. Investigators confirm that both people who died visited zen days spa just days before they started having symptoms. A legionnaires disease samples of the water in the spa there have been taken and theyre trying to confirm whether or not there was bacteria present contra. Costa county Officials Say that that zen days ball is operating its spot without a health permit. And now there are calls for the Health Department to investigate any other. On permitted spas and shut them down. These unpermitted facilities need to be shut down until they receive a permit which says that they are operating in a healthy and safe manner.
