We do have video of the aftermath just before 3 oclock this morning. A vehicle crashed into another car at a fire hydrant at west 9th g street. A woman in her 50s suffered major injuries. The driver of the suspect vehicle on this was caught after trying to run away. Police say the 21 yearold was on a nobail warrant out of Santa Clara County for previous sideshow activity. And this wasnt the only incident authorities responded to. Additionally right after that, we were dispatched to hear at the antioch area for one vehicle into at the end of the antioch area. This car got away before they arrived at another car, also crashed into a fire hydrant in the parking lot of the antioch marina. Several bicyclists on the bay bridge slowed traffic this afternoon. It happened around 3 oclock in the eastbound direction and it caused delays for hours. Folks doing wheelies even on the bridge. Its not clear if anyone was cited or arrested. Police in l a meteor investigating the death of a man who allegedly jumped off of a parking garage yesterday afternoon. Officers say it happened at the Civic Center Parking garage and oak street around 4. 20, in the afternoon. The man was transported to a local hospital but did not survive the investigation still ongoing tonight. Also in alameda Fire Fighters in the u. S. Coast guard helping rescue 4 people near the harbor bay Ferry Terminal this afternoon. 7 rescue swimmers located 3 people in the water, several 100 yards offshore. Officials say when they arrived, one victim was found on shore in cardiac arrest. All 4 people had to be taken to a local hospital. Firefighters on the peninsula are mourning the loss of a retired san mateo firefighter. Michael Joseph Ramsey passed away after a courageous battle with the job related illness on july. 21st, he was just 54 years old and had served in the fire service for 33 years.
