Tonight at a San Francisco Police Release video of a shooting in the bayview Hunters Point area that killed a man that they say was interfering with an arrest. Thanks for joining us tonight at 8. Im ken wayne and im catherine heenan. During an afternoon town hall of police explained what led to the use of force. That killed that man. Kron 4 Ella Sogomonian joins us from the newsroom with details catherine, can this all started when sfpd reports that officers in plain clothes . Making their rounds in the neighborhood and spotted the suspect too, had a warrant out for his arrest when bluford intervened. Sfpd released body camera video of a Police Officers. They shot down. 41 yearold bryant bluford. They say he was pacing around and stepping up to officers demanding that they like over suspect. They arrested with an outstanding warrant. But for scene with a hand on a gun in his waistband after officers asked dozens of times for him to lift up his hands. He instead reaches for the firearm and pointed at them and its not against lot of walk across the street questions or yell profanities, whatever. Threats. To kill people to Kill Police Officers gripping a handgun after you make that threat pointing a handgun at a Police Officer is against the law and its a lifethreatening situations after blue for the shot down, officers approached him to give him cpr. The notice of 45 caliber lightcoloured gun at his side. That sfpd says was loaded with one round along with the magazine that had 10 rounds in it. The sheriff says the suspected dealers name is not being released yet because that investigation is ongoing. San franciscos District Attorney is just dismissing misdemeanor citations linked to this years event called the dolores park hill bomb police cited and released 81 teenagers last month for inciting a riot failing to disperse and arrested and booked 32 adults suspicion of the same charges in a statement da, Brooke Jenkins said that addressing vandalism and property crime is a top priority because of the deep impact these types of crimes have on our city and businesses and says that issuing misdemeanor citations does not involve or affect current investigations into vandalism, property crime or more serious crimes. Investigators say a man cleaning the home of a Family Member who recently died smelled a strange odor, discovered a shed that was packed full of boxes of chemicals. The safe disposal of the Hazardous Materials took a lot longer than expected. Neighbors say the man who had lived in the home was a retired professor who specialized in chemistry. In the north bay, a Supermarket Chain has been found to have been overcharging at several stores. Warren county inspectors found several examples of incorrect pricing at some Safeway Stores as kron fours terisa stasio reports. County Officials Say this is a warning to others and say it is a problem that was made worse by the pandemic. During a year and a half period, marine county Officials Say inspectors discovered Safeway Stores overcharge consumers at several locations, including the store at town center in corte madera. They found commodities where there were significant overcharges, their shampoo. Theres toilet paper. Theres produce. You can get all these items. So if the problem is truly that, you know, the shelf prices are being updated in a timely fashion, that any of those items are fair game. The Santa Clara County Sheriffs Office is facing criticism tonight over how its deputies traded a muslim woman. The council on American Islamic relations claims the deputies yanked off the womans headscarf while booking her into the elmwood correctional facility in milpitas. Members say it is a violation of the womans religious beliefs, Constitutional Rights and dignity. The group is demanding a public apology and a monetary settlement. The Sheriffs Office says it has reviewed the Surveillance Video and says force was not used. We are expecting find out monday on whether or not San Jose City workers will go on strike. Today was the last day for City Employees to vote on whether or not to authorize. A threeday strike roughly 4500 City Employees have been voting over the past 3 days. Theyre asking for better pay and benefits. There want to pay hikes of 7, 6, 5 , over the next 3 years. San jose mayor matt mahan, however, is doubling down on the citys current offer for us to give more than a 5 raise will have to identify painful cuts. Court documents indicate in 2020 hice was charged with Forcible Rape of a minor in oakland with a special allegation that he also kidnapped the victim. A Police Report indicates in addition to having he also punched the victim before dragging her out of his car. He eventually pleaded no contest to a lesser charge assault with a deadly weapon. And the other charges were dismissed. Hi, ended up serving just 56 days in jail and was put on probation. Prior to that in 2016. Hi, she was 22 at the time was charged with 2 crimes for allegedly having with a 16 yearold Newark Junior High School student. He ended up pleading no contest to unlawful intercourse and served 60 days in the Alameda County jail. And in 2013 he was charged with shooting at an inhabited dwelling in oakland. So San Francisco, your average of 66, were at 68. So were look right there at average or maybe just a little bit above oakland, 71 for your high right average. Same story for san jose livermore. 88 is your average. We are 86 in santa rosa. Your average was 83 and were at 81. So yesterday we were struggling to get even close to average today. Were right there at average of maybe a tick above in some spots. But as this High Pressure system makes its way to us or at least the end land, thats when well start to see those warmer temperatures. Possibility of triple digits of 102 this weekend. So looking ahead, you can see as a High Pressure system goes from dallas. Vegas area closer to us. You can see.
