What we are seeing is a little break from that summer heat as we kick off august today. First day of the month and the first 3 days of this new month or going to stay cool. His hes been on the scene of this fire in his valley, just looking at like the massive destruction basically from the flames and a river dozen people have evacuated is still asking you to stay away. And again, this is on octavia boulevard oak street and the chief ultimately said, you know, this is a building thats under construction and effect widen lens you can see, you know, theres only really have built walls. And i dont know if we have video from earlier on the scene when the fire actually you can see that it went up really quickly in the chief told us that ultimately in these construction sites, thats really what happens. Thankfully, nobody was hurt. There was no injuries reported. However, there was a total of 4 different Residential Structures that did have to be evacuated and ultimately even suffered some water damage. She says 2 of them are so did have a little bit of fire damage on their roof because they were so close to the building. But they were able to, you know, nip that out really, really quick. And ultimately they just have a lot of water damage. She did say there is a total of 5 families that are currently displaced. However, she thinks that there will be more at some point throughout the day because theyre still investigating everything and they are still very much actively here on the scene. And i dont know if we can bring the camera back out here live. I want to zoom in for you guys. Just you can see all the char thats really there from the construction site. They are still pouring water onto it, obviously to make sure things stay that but thankfully, nobody was hurt and there were no injuries reported. In oakland was actually underneath the freeway and it broke out around one 30 in the morning and the chp says that actually the oakland fire department, the firefighter saw a man setting up the fire in the westbound lane of the 17 street off ramp and then they went there in the firefighters found a victim with head trauma in the area near 14th street. But were not sure how long this investigation is going continue. The ramp will be closed as they do investigate. Happening today, the man accused of fatally stabbing cash app founder bob lee. Many will be back in court again for day 2 of his preliminary hearing. He was arrested 8 days after lee was found stabbed to death in San Franciscos rincon hill neighborhood during day one of the testimony, the first went first witness that we heard from was a San Francisco Police Officer said rick could who responded to the scene of the stabbing and he focused mostly on the bloodstain kitchen knife that was found on the ground inside of a locked gate of a caltrans parking lot about 4 yards away from the crime scene. And officials tell me that it grew to be a fouralarm fire very quickly. It started just before 6 oclock this morning in the chief tells me that when she actually got out of the car, she could feel the heat. And i want to turn the camera around just for a second to show you guys. When i mentioned earlier, windows had broken out next or im going zoom in and hopefully you can see this window here. They suspect was shattered from that fire and the heat. I dont know daryn. James, eye during rain. If you guys can confirm that you can see a good glenside that but that window was completely shattered out. And then down below all of these other windows are cracked as well from that heat from the fire. Thankfully, nobody was injured. So far of 5 families displaced. They expect that number to grow as the morning continues. And its still a very active scene. Were right here oak street and octavia boulevard. Im going zoom out to you guys can see just i mean, theres still got to be at least a dozen fire trucks here. Were looking at more than 3 dozen fire officials on the scene. Congressman John Garamendi has questions for Flannery Associates. 800 Million Dollars in Land Acquisitions surrounding Travis Air Force base saying these purchases just dont add up. Garamendi says hes been in contact with the families of farmers who sold their land to flannery and claim that they didnt want to sell to begin with. But flannery made them an offer. They couldnt refuse. Mystery company, Flannery Associates agreed to pay well above the market value of the land. But now flannery is suing those families for 510 Million Dollars accusing them of conspiring together to inflate the value of the land saying, quote, this is a simple case about a group of wealthy landowners who saw an opportunity to conspire collude, price fix and illegally overcharged. Flannery. It is a suit designed to force. Farmers. Lawyer up spend tens of thousands of dollars on lawyering. And maybe at the end of the day. Bankrupt themselves. Companies with ties to china have been ramping up efforts to buy American Farmland in recent years. And garamendi says there is valid concerns that flannerys Land Acquisitions could be tied to our foreign rivals. The fact that they chose to buy all 3 sites of 3.
