The conclusion from that report, the farther prisoners are from home to fewer visitors. They receive. But now a new bill the governor signed this week will require the state to place incarcerated parents or legal guardians of children under the age of 18 in the correctional facility closest to the childs home. This will make a huge difference for families San Francisco democratic Assembly Member matt haney authored the legislation. He points out received unanimous support from republicans and democrats alike. This will impact hundreds of thousands of kids. It allow them to do better out an opportunity.
