Fighting Food Insecurity during the pandemic as thanksgiving twentytwenty approaches is so intense that the Alameda County food banks director of Community Engagement says pre covid thanksgiving 2019 is a complete blur you know its funny to think about for even remember last november this is just this last year has been many years in itself. He says thats because the number of people needing food has doubled from this time last year. We have never seen numbers like we have seen. You know this year and we expect as we head deeper into november and december close to the holidays. Were probably going to see the longest lines weve ever right now, we estimate that at least one in 4 county residents is experiencing or at risk of hunger.
