This year they are doing the ballot processing in that building you see behind me the bill graham Civic Auditorium allowing more space for the election workers to space out during the covid19 pandemic we can tell you 300,000 ballots plus are already underway with that processing thats been going on for some time now and were going to get a lot of Election Results shortly after the close of the 8 oclock election time on tuesday night. Never before have so many ballots been cast before election day in San Francisco. So far 322,000 ballots have been filled out and are now being processed at the department of elections that 62 of registered voters and with more being dropped off monday and those voting in person on election day. Election officials are expecting a turnout in the 80 it just over 81 in San Francisco. And then the 2016 election was just under 81 say one percent sort the mark for recent president ial election turnout but to break a record that turnout will need to top 86 . Which San Francisco saw in 1956 1960 monday voters were still dropping off mail in ballots in person. For many breaking the record is an important getting their vote counted is.
