Thats of course on the condition that he doesnt get worse or symptoms dont get more severe if that is something that does play out and of course the president would be transferred to walter reed nearby for continued treatment for now anyway. Hes feeling mild symptoms and is remaining at the white house what were getting in this morning are the very latest on who has tested positive. So far and as you can see here thats the president. Were still waiting for Vice President joe bidens test results to come back we are and theyre so much fallout because and so much contract chasing to do because. This is something that weve seen play out over the last few months among people who contract the disease which has by the way claimed more than 207,000 people nationwide we have heard at least some indication about what types of symptoms. Hes feeling this morning is lethargic but so far theyve been categorizes just minor symptoms at the moment as we show you the video hes been mask listen around lots of people in his administration so thats what we want to know this morning. Is who else is part of positive and the effects on the government of that our Washington Dc Bureau reporter Trevor Shirley is live now in washington d c so give us the rundown on who we know this is affected so far. So at this point as it stands now we have more people within the president s inner circle that have tested negative and have tested positive which is obviously good news. For the time being so far we know the president and the first lady have both tested positive along with hope hicks arguably one of the president s closest aides she was really at this point and then the reporting she tested positive yesterday and was several hours after her positive diagnosis. The president and first lady were both and their test came back positive as well so far we know also the Vice President mike pence and his wife karen pence have both tested negative. Jared kushner and his wife trump, the president s daughter and soninlaw have both tested negative. We also know this morning that Amy Coney Barrett. The nominee the Supreme Court has also tested negative. She is one thats been in close contact with a lot of people who have also have close contact with the president and other staffers at the white house keep in mind though these positive tests can take a few bad can take a few days to come back as positive just because somebody test negative on 1 one d doesnt mean they wont as positive a few days later if theyve already been exposed. So its certainly not outside the realm of possibility to think that some of these negative tests that weve seen could actually end up being positive over the next 2 or 3 days i want to sound alarmist about that but its definitely something to keep in mind as we follow this story over the next few days. Thats why were following in government what would happen. If the next in line were need to take over so as we see since President Trump is positive. Then what we know that mike pence is negative trevor if he stays negative things would fall to pence if trump or not to be able to carry on his duties. Right now like you said hes just isolating and has mild symptoms at best, but if things were to get more serious. What would happen after that. So you made a point really comes down to someones ability to carry out the office the duties of the office of the presidency as long as president is experiencing those symptoms that are so far mild as we understand that they dont compromise his ability to carry out. His things will stay the same keep in mind. Theres always a continuity of government plan in place its not like Something Like this happens and theres a scramble to figure out what happens next that plan is always in place obviously if the president s those duties shift over to the Vice President either as an official capacity or as an acting capacity then beyond the Vice President the next in line to the presidency would be speaker of the house right now thats nancy so certainly there is a plan in place it just really comes down one persons the president s ability to carry out those duties, but its definitely a conversation that is being talked about and looked at at the white house today.
