Containment 50,000 people have been forced to flee their homes due to this wildfire in parts of Sonoma County napa county they are under Evacuation Orders tonight. Including what we have been told us the entire city of calistoga so certainly if you need to leave that area, the open evacuation routes include route 29 south and north along with one 28 north for more on the Evacuation Orders for sonoma and napa counties were joined by kron fours Jonathan Mccall johnson, the largest of those evacuations 68,000 ordered so far for folks in Sonoma County want to show you the map of where things stand right with those Evacuation Orders you can just in the last few hours from when we last saw you for kron 4 news at 6 oclock weve seen. Evacuation warnings now being closer to an area near santa rosa weve been talking with cal fire officials all day long and theyve been saying that those flames have been creeping closer to santa rosa. Throughout the but what we were saying earlier is that the entire town of calistoga now under that mandatory Evacuation Order we first told you about that on kron 4 news at 6 oclock and as you can see those Evacuation Orders continuing to grow tonight as fire crews try to get the upper hand on this part of the fire. This is the shady fire watches one of the 2 fires that sparked as a result of the initial glass fire yesterday and because of those winds yesterday was pushing it toward the area sent a row so were also following that for you last night here on kron 4 news also show you. The situation developing in napa county as well you you can see those mandatory evacuations in the blue area there also evacuation warnings that are still in effect there so this is for napa county, a large area where evacuations are and as you can see this is the area where the glass fire originated from. And once again is continuing to push. Folks of their homes because of those flames that emergency crews are trying to get a handle on real quick one show you some of back away shun centers that have been set up for folks who have to get away from those fires and those flames if youre caught in the middle of the Cross Walk Church at first street in napa county. The Sonoma Marin Fair Grounds in petaluma has been set up the petaluma Veterans Building the sonoma raceway people there pitch their tents if they want to camp out. Also they are able to handle our visa and other cars and other transportation there as well a place to play is being set up as a temporary evacuation spot for folks to go if they have to flee the fire to make their initial plans and then they can go somewhere else from there. Well have all of Evacuation Orders and these Evacuation Centers on our website kron 4 dot com. We do know that in Sonoma County once again 68,000 evacuations now ordered talking with cal fire earlier today, they say that theyre now in the process of trying to put up more shelters, specifically at sonoma state. Universe states so once again plenty of details that will be following throughout the night here on kron 4. Think he can back to you all right jonathan. For more on the firefight were joined by cal fires Lynn Tom Welch off. Can can you give us an update where things stand right now. Yes a live update over 36,000 acres have burned and no containment of yet on this fire. And as might think theres a lot more evacuations going in the clay the fire is not much spreading with the wind down but following that rain and some of the. But you know the grafton, the trees brush that are the starting right now the morning burn. And as you mentioned, you the community to be evacuated the entire out there he is an Evacuation Order point. How have those evacuations been going when youre trying to get an entire city. Evacuated house at hows that working out. Yeah, its definitely very so they try to do it far in advance of possible, you know we dont have that luck with fire, sometimes they travel so fast, we dont have enough time. Get a warning about a quick bike. So we do try to get as much lead time we can we kind of have an idea of where the fire going to move possibly based on the weather and the conditions that we try to get people evacuated. Enter the layer that we can. We are are you still out there fighting those flames it its now this fire doesnt go to sleep. Exactly especially on nights like last night tonight when we had no humidity recovery for the fire stay very very active overnight. Its probably going to the same exact thing again right. A firefighter come on for a 24 hour shift they will work a full 24 hours and then not go off duty for 24 hours so its cycle that that keep on repeating week of firefighters on the line 24 hour today. She said the fires following the terrain and the wind doesnt appear to be as big of a factor right now with the fire so does that mean in my experience being out on these fires of the flames tend to go up slope. So people or in an area. Above the fire and theyre in hilly terrain are those the people that should be concerned right now. Yeah, definitely doesnt give us to be concerned one of the things about fires is one of the few things that we know the 4 that actually travels faster than a dozen down usually. So fire does trouble very quickly going up till now well now you are in one of those kind of an area. Definitely like keep an eye out and get out in then later dont wait to be cold believe go ahead only if youre not feeling comfortable. You know we some weve seen homes go up in hillsides and also some of the landmark wineries that had just burn down. Are there any priorities that youre setting for one building or another. You know we have to put a priority first of all for life, you know we want to protect people like that thats our number one focus protecting the report regard is that people live in their businesses their livelihood the infrastructure things you know think about such as Water Treatment plant, a water supply they can be you know major source water for the community of napa you know the things that dont really think of but we have to protect the year to make sure that infrastructure is in place when people are able to come home or unable to re bill they can do that what can you tell us about the wasteWater Treatment plant near saint helene i understand the fire is burning very close to that facility. Yeah, absolutely its definitely one of pieces of infrastructure were very concerned you know replacement or is very challenging and people are still relying on that facility enough of their daily lives that something that we will definitely try to protect. I bet we can. So no telling when this is going to be put out we understand it sits 0 containment tonight any any progress at all. Yeah, you know they made they made progress on the fire you know theyre going concern about calling any kind of containment because any certain people thinking oh theyre contain the fire going out for good. We dont want to get ahead of ourselves we want to make sure that weve got payment and that weve got lynette that safe and we know that were not going to worry about the fire spreading from that point. And so the firefighters still comfortable being able to say theyre not going there not put a percentage doctor they want to make sure that they got the job done before they got to talk about the resources to you know the firefighters are just exhausted this season. Weve had so far. And firefighters have been called in from out of state even out of the for the fire, so we had a couple of weeks ago the lnu complex fire and so on. How are the resources right now and how do things look shaping up. Tomorrow more firefighters being brought in. Yeah definitely so we were lucky enough to get the lnu lightning complex wrapped up along with the cba complex as you can flick those are 3 large fires that like they got wrapped up firefighters got a little bit of a break but a court theyre back at it again. They do understand though that here in california you know were coming into the worst month of what our you know the work on the fire could california. But theyre aware of what the head. And if we dont have any precipitation of anything that i get there by near future we know we could be a very busy for quite a while. Well let let us hope that nature gives you a bit of a reprieve i thank you so very much weve been speaking with cal fires lint ah much ah, thank you maam. And as you conditions are still right for fire red flag warning in effect until 9 oclock tonight, yeah for more we want to toss things over Lawrence Lawrence usually dont get first of the season about a 3rd for we cannot over and rain is certainly something that we can were going to see some change way back we are seeing a change in the pattern here is were seeing that onshore breeze developing outside. And that is the best around and were seeing some of trailers were going to have take a move on here we have an audio issue will get that fixed right away and get right back to you about moving on despite only igniting just yesterday morning the glass fire, already appears to be incredibly destructive. These images are just a small portion of the damage that has been done as we mentioned earlier. It is now burning more than 36,000 acres and although theres no official number our crews have seen many buildings destroyed a lot of homes some wineries and landmark facilities such as the Glass Mountain in and you have probably heard about the metal would resort that has also been heavily damaged our kron fours terisa stasio has been live for us all day long in saint where terrible terrible at tragedies occurred several homes have been totally destroyed theresa. Im thinking this has been a very difficult day for a lot of people who live and love this area. Working swiftly hoping to get ahead of the flames that roared into the hot air helicopters raced and dropping water one of my kids best friends, the lost their homes. Its really side in the heart of napa a heartbreaking sight. Flames tearing through hillsides, leaving so much destruction behind businesses, the animals unfortunately trish wagner on native napa resident who witnessed the horrific fires back in 2017 says, this is the worst shes seen we can see the fire on both bridges, i mean this is profound. This is horrifying i mean this is the poor people i all of our Community Though were going to rally together were going to get it back together but. Its very frightening. And very impactful for everyone. In addition to homes institutions to the area beloved by many places like the Glass Mountain and on silverado trail. A total loss, the privately owned facility set on 2 acres billed as a romantic getaway and dedicated to honoring the spirit and tradition of the valley. It is now in ruins. Cal fire says that they are anxious about the winds of the winds are number one on the challenge gusty that lower the make fires like this burned so radically so quickly and that is the strong winds that often send embers up to a mile ahead of the not only creating spot fires with challenges are firefighters, but it send embers onto the homes. And that is a concern right now is that this fire is going to spread it is nightfall. Air is pretty still right now ken and vickie but they are just anxious anxious about that wind picking up and already there is been so much destruction here and so much sadness on the heels of what happened back in 2017 out we always hear this snap a strong sonoma strong and truly they do have that spirit but is no doubt very difficult to be here and to listen to their stories back to you certainly understand that a lot of us know people who are going through a really tough time right now we appreciate that. Were continue to follow breaking news tonight with wildfires burning in sonoma and napa counties, the glass fire as theyre calling it has exploded to more than 36,000 acres. And its 0 contained Evacuation Orders have been issued for parts of sonoma and napa county including the entire city of calistoga we also know that 113 structures have been destroyed and more than 8500 are threatened one of the first people at the metal would resort to see it burning down was journalist, adam housley. Also we have our own kron fours taylor sacchi who is live at the metal wood and taylor i saw some of your pictures coming in earlier. Just stunning and heartbreaking pictures. Taylor go ahead if you hear me can unfortunately things arent looking. And unfortunately things are looking good over there can you know while several of the structures were saved. Others were destroyed and unfortunately i watched one of the lodges burned to the ground if you take a look at that video that i shot by shot earlier. Well see exactly what im talking about here. Now again this is one of the lodge is at the meadow wood resort and as you can see. Its a total loss, but firefighters were nearby to keep an eye out and protect other lodges nearby while the clubhouse remained pretty much on touched in some of the areas some of that event and conference spaces next door that overlooked the golf course were reduced to rubble. Firefighters tell me theres about 3 or 4 strike teams on the property which is about 60 80 firefighters. I also saw crews from cal fire that the city fire big bear fire victorville rancho and apple valley in addition to those areas though that i showed you i saw many spot fires on the property which are raising concerns as we continue into the night. But thankfully, the air isnt as strong, you know i can actually see the moon not seeing as much smoke but it is a big concern and firefighters tell me that they will remain on scene throughout the night too and look after that property and save it as much as they can. In our lives and lena Taylor Force Act the kron 4 news taylor. Thank you very much for that live for one of the first people at the met would resort to see it burning as we were mentioning was journalist, adam housley. And he described what he saw when he arrived on the scene. They say that most of the cottages that the good at college maine. Building which people and i had entered their again but letting i watched burn to the ground and fire crews there. They were doing what they just unfortunately not members got into part of the wood. A structure up on the roof level and at that point theres nothing they could do i watched it burn. Housley says this is a blow to the surrounding community and that is indeed an understatement. Then take a look at this is ash coming from the glass far it could be seen falling. In santa rosa this is footage. Just after this morning as some people reported seeing at least an inch of ash on their cars on their Patio Furniture there as you can see and the sky also was orange, well lets take a live look in San Francisco to see how things are shaping up weve had the problems in the past with. Real heavy smoke coming into the city from all those big complex fires couple weeks ago the key. Lawrence karnow is here to talk were going to see any improvement at all for the firefighters out there it should get better for the firefighters for quality probably not so much in fact is probably going to get worse. That wind has been enough to keep a lot of that smoke aloft will as that wind begins to calm down you start to see some of that smoke settling near the surface more the ash on the ground. So those winds that were blowing 30 to 50 Miles Per Hour the north bay, lets start to calm down quite a bit good news for firefighters, bad news for quality right now its not that bad in fact youre looking a good air quality in the San Francisco mill valley also on the novato moderate amounts of fluids you get inside the bay into san jose but not really bad. The worst is in little more by tomorrow though that really all changes we start to see some of that smoke settled down near the where you might expect to see some of the worst air quality is going to be the north bay thats where youre seeing in and around that fire, some that smoke and pushed all the way out in the pacific and now we get a little westerly component win and that smoke really just going to push back on shore settling in near the service so very unhealthy air quality expected in around the fire much of the north bay. Poor air quality even inside the bay tomorrow going to be very hazy outside along the coastline. Thats probably just enough a sea breeze to keep your fresh air right along the immediate coast s led skies back to you all right, thank you lawrence of course of damage is not limited to napa and sonoma what nap in particular as we mentioned the glass fires also burning in Sonoma County and our kron fours dan thorn as you can see is live there tonight. Hes in santa rosa with a look at the destruction that people. Are facing there. Dan. Thats right ken and vickie were off of highway 12 in nolita road right now we saw a number of homes that were destroyed down here highway 12 the fire jumping. The highway at one over the overnight hours. If you could take a look behind me here all see how well i can show the images here we actually have the fire burning behind us here at and in del state park. This is east santa rosa that we are in right now a little difficult to see but earlier we re seeing it really sort of lighting up and it was heading down towards Channel Drive where were told number of homes are also in that area. But earlier today we went to the sky hawk neighborhood. Thats a long. Mountain hawk drive Mountain Hawk road. We saw several homes that were destroyed there as well. However didnt look like the fire just completely barreled through and and took out number of homes, it was sort of like it was playing a game where it was sort of hopping from one home to another and burning through these right now it is populate pitch black out in these areas because the power has been shut off. We also went up los almost road earlier deeper up into where the fire had broken out early sunday morning to check out some of the damage there in the road was practically impassable with downed power lines and also a lot of trees that were blocking the roads there and also a lot of rocks that have sort of fallen on the narrow roads up in that area we ended up speaking with a couple of people there who were trying to get up into the zones to see if some of their homes were still going to be there. Thats after some people out here already lost homes because of the tubbs fire in on the 2017 so fire crews are sort of just been working out here tonight kind of making their way through highway 12 continues to be closed in these areas. Fire still burning behind us here tonight fire officials are just hoping to get a handle on these flames and making sure that people are staying safe by staying out of the area ken and vickie dan im curious how people are holding up there they went through the tubbs fire. Just 3 years ago came down from calistoga over Fountain Grove in the coffey park. Now this is more on the eastern and southern ends of santa rosa, but its a similar kind of scenario. It sounds like the evacuations have gone a lot smoother more people got the word more people understood the significance but still its heartbreaking has to be really tough for a lot of these residents to have to go through this almost every year. And thats right and heartbreaking stressful. People are are pretty much saying it Climate Change is something that needs to be addressed Forest Management needs to be something that that needs to be addressed out here and it seems as though like you said its getting hotter every year these fires are getting worse every year so. Its as as one person put it to me yesterday, the price of living in paradise. But you dont want to see some bodies home leave of Course Material things can be replaced, but its still devastating to have to go through this again and again every year. Yeah thank you dan thorn. I mean let let us hope either theyre not quite out of the woods yet maybe if the weather works for the firefighters things will calm down. Thank you. Dan reporting for us live now from santa rosa, wildfire continues in just a moment, this is video from saint kaleena the glass fire has burned thousands of acres after the break were yeah, thats half the fun of a new house. Seeing what people left behind in the attic. Well, saving on Homeowners Insurance with geicos help was pretty fun too. Ahhhh, its a tiny dancer. They left a ton of stuff up here. Welp, enjoy your house. Nope. No thank you. Geico could help you save on homeowners and renters insurance. And welcome back to our breaking News Coverage of the wine country wildfires of several north Bay School Districts have announced closures because of these wildfires that means there will be no Distance Learning they are the Bennett ValleyUnion School District kenwood School District. The rincon Valley Union School District grabban steen Union School District thats closed due to lack of staff. Sonoma valley unified School District and all Santa Rosa City schools have canceled Distance Learning for tuesday and for wednesday, but the district will continue to serve grab and go meals. If youve lost health insurance, covered california can help. You may even get financial help to pay for your health insurance. Just visit coveredca. Com today. Our coverage of whats called the glass fire incident continues now the glass fires a combination of the glass fire that sparked yesterday morning in napa county and 2 other fires c shady fire and the boys and fire the to the 3 fires have burned more than 36,000 acres in sonoma and napa counties back orders in both of those counties have been issued the glass fire is at 0 containment and where the whims of the weather time to check in on the fire conditions that lawrence yeah explosive fire conditions over the weekend we have those strong offshore winds that very dry air mixing in things that started to change tonight though weve begun to see a push from the west you see some of the west southwesterly winds beginning to move in only 2, 3, Miles Per Hour. But certainly that impedes the progress of all the fire condition, the fires that were burning and being pushed by those strong winds of 30. And 50 mile an hour gust towards santa rosa. So that but its kind of the brakes on that right now that is great news and theyre going to see increase in humidity. The amount of moisture in the air that to go along with though were not going to see a return of that offshore wind in fact overnight tonight those winds getting pretty calm just a light breeze throughout the night more of a westerly component the wind as we head toward the afternoon that afternoon sea breeze starts to pick up so thats going to blow those up fire conditions back to the east red light warnings remain in that will continue told 9 oclock this evening, then though should become able to come down, but the probably the best site that we could see right now is this right here how about that the fog and low clouds surging back on shore that means the waves start to break down. Hopefully firefighters going to be able hold on a fire son. For more on the Evacuation Orders that are underway in sonoma napa counties want to check in with kron fours Jonathan Mccall jonathan yeah think he can you know and weve been monitoring Emergency Management size for both napa and sonoma counties all day long along with the sheriffs office. And cal fire twitter handles just to see if we can get the latest information as were seeing at the top of the newscast, one of the surprising things are one of the things that weve been watching has been those Evacuation Orders. When we last saw you on kron 4 news at 6 we have just learned that the entire city of calistoga had been now. Under a mandatory Evacuation Order want to show you the map of how thats all playing out right now this is the map on the Sonoma County side of how things are shaping up. You can see where those that orange or red area is where those mandatory evacuations are the yellow is warnings are at this point so as you can see those are starting to creep a little bit further west into santa rosa and also north of where the main part of this of fire is there Sonoma County so once again some 60,000 evacuation of back away shuns ordered as a result of these mandatory evacuations Sonoma County shelters now being set up. Number areas around Sonoma County to help out the folks who are now being forced to flee the from the fires. Meanwhile, heres the situation unfolding on the napa county side of this. The blue areas theyre mandatory evacuation. Orders you can kind of see in the very middle here where center of the glass fire originated from and just quickly spread napa county, the yellow areas there you see our evacuation warnings as we were saying on the Sonoma County side. Were talking with cal fire earlier today they were saying that right now there firefighters there crews are doing their part in trying to stay off. Flames from moving further west. Into the santa rosa area we do know that they have been able to move into Sonoma County weve been watching those pictures all day long of houses. That have been burned to the ground the metal would resort as well and other places around Sonoma County that im also starting to feel the impacts of those we have all the details of the evacuation warnings orders and also we have more information on Evacuation Centers that have also been set up youll find that all right now on our website kron 4 dot com. The key and well send it back to you i think you a safe refuge for some people the Sonoma County raceway. It has 50 acres of space for people who need a safe space to stay theres a lot of room there kron fours michelle kingston went to the raceway and talk to some of the evacuees there tonight. This is the campground available for evacuees it can handle about 2000 campers but as of right now just a couple people. Are taking advantage of this space but it is open and available for anyone. Who needs a place to stay normally it be prepared in october now it seems to be. The prepare an august steve pages the president sonoma raceway he opened up the 50 acre campground to evacuees who had to leave their homes because of the glass fire there are showers bathrooms and tons of space for those who are able to bring a tent an rv or a camper page says this fire reminds him all too much of the tubbs fire in 2017 very reminiscent. The tubbs fire started on a sunday night. Last night about 2. 30 in the morning. The dog was scratching at the door open the door and the smoke was just overwhelming you can see the ash falling in in our backyard soon. It was very reminiscent of 3 years ago, Melanie Collins in chris left their oakmont home at 10 oclock last night they have their cat their bikes and their tent in our planning to camp here. Until its safe to return to their home on meadow ridge drive. They say they knew exactly when it was time to go last night it was lot of sirens. We saw a lot of people speeding ou a place to stay at sonoma raceway michelle kingston kron 4 news. Our wildfire coverage continues in just a moment, this is video from sky cop drive in santa rosa, where you can see homes have been destroyed. After the a fire coverage continues tonight at least a dozen homes have been destroyed on Mountain Hawk drive in santa rosa kron fours dan kerman went to the sky hawk neighborhood shows us the damage. Were in the sky hawk neighborhood of santa rosa and as you can see behind me burned down homes, however this is not like 2017, yes, there are numerous homes that have burned but numerous homes are Still Standing its not like. Entire neighborhoods have burned down. Fire Officials Say thats because this fire is completely different than the one in 2017. This was not one solid wall of fire that moved in the city limits, its spotted in the city and some plan some areas a mile ahead of itself. So a lot of areas with a lot of work that needs to be done. And we understand that the evacuations of affected 10s of thousands of people in santa rosa as well as in Sonoma County. We definitely want to be able to get people back home but its going to potentially be several days in order to do that neighborhoods that have been evacuated include rincon valley. As well as skyhawk where we are Oakmont Molina and now Bennett Valley because the fire has gotten into an adele state park. But if theres one thing working in firefighters favor tonight. Its the fact that winds have really come down. Residents are hoping that if they made it through sunday night, the house might make it through monday night. And dan kerman and santa rosa back to you in the studio. Right and our wildfire coverage continues in just a moment, this is video from santa rosa where dozens of homes have been burned by this glass fire after the break. Well hear from the state senator who is serving the front lines this morning is for ceas prepare for their first playoff game tomorrow in oakland against Chicago White sox and your bottom alvin has named his starting the unfair money bail system. He, accused of rape. While he, accused of stealing 5. The stanford rapist could afford bail; got out the same day. The Senior Citizen could not; forced to wait in jail nearly a year. Voting yes on prop 25 ends this failed system, replacing it with one based on public safety. Because the size of your wallet shouldnt determine whether or not youre in jail. Vote yes on prop 25 to end money bail. As our wildfire coverage continues tonight, one of the people in the thick of things today north bay state senator bill dodd, he theres been forced to watch a large portion of his district just go up in flames, the senator also a napa resident kron fours Catherine Heenan talk to him today after he toured some of the worst hit areas alongside the napa county sheriff. There was a lot of issues a lot of homes that are already been hurt fires that were you know approaching different areas from Different Directions that they were just yesterday and many many areas the fire still burning alonso broader trail. You youre giving me some of the early details that i havent heard before about high end resort. What are you seeing in terms of resorts that have been damaged or lost. Well one that was particularly stark was house over she beautiful beautiful. High you know to the east of silverado trail. It was just completely devastated. Nothing standing, its really nothing left nothing of value. It was just you know really really stark we did get it saw a number of homes in the hills up around better would resort which got hit pretty badly. They were able to say you know the there a reception area clubhouse that many many other units enforced. Were gone in many many of the homes. The senator has already talk to constituents today who have lost everything he says its really almost impossible to find the words to say to bring people in any hope especially those who have suffered in past wildfires. For some people affected by the glass fire. Its an eerie reminder of the 2017 tubbs fire in fact a 3 Year Anniversary for that fires as next week. Wind and heat are to blame and both of the fires but a 3rd factor and overabundance of dry fuel that is feeding the fire. San jose state weather researcher we talked to a fire weather researcher says that fuel moisture levels in that area are at an alltime low. The fly fuel moisture a living shrubs and trees so we sample that says a state that has number of agencies also sample around Northern California and southern california. The fuel moisture content of these right now are our record low. And that has to do with the fact that we have drought year. I mean we had a low rain near this past winter and so that really is problematic that so we had a lot of big fires this year because that fuel moisture content. And right now so are sites that we sample last week. There are below 60 in the high 50s thats really really critical and so we get to those low thresholds its its makes these plants just easy to ignite and burn. And its not just the north bay clements in his team of measuring live fuel moisture in the Santa Cruz Mountains another fire prone areas across california. Many areas are seeing fewer moisture levels that would not normally be seen until deep into october. More than 50,000 people have been forced to leave their homes due to these wildfires that are burning in Northern California. Reporting on the last fire burning in napa sonoma death has burned dozens of homes, firefighters. Really stretched thin all across the state as they battle more than 27 major wildfires, which is close to 4 million acres in this state in Santa Rosa Logan her tell. I was driving by when he saw neighbors house on fire and thats when he got out and tried to save it. So does is run by and and really just look my left and saw in and then the rest of firefighters try to you know tell them to put it out. Like they got. Enough on their hands already so. Under the step in its. About the fire. Her tell a Good Samaritan firefighters as you can see there did arrive to help fire officials are urging people though to evacuate if they are asked to us. The zinni says that those affected by the safety power shutoff this weekend should have their power restored by tonight. More than 65,000 customers are affected cross 16 counties and that includes napa county. At last check let fewer than 300 customers in napa county did not have power pg e says about 37,000 customers lost power due to the wildfires burning across Northern California, including the glass fire. Sports from the team t fiber sports desk. Well get the start in game, one of their wildcard series with the Chicago White sox this is the 3rd straight will be playing postseason baseball but they havent won a postseason game since 2013, a stagnant offense has plagued them in their last 2 wildcard appearances and oakland didnt exactly spring into the postseason this year there are just 1412 in september and saw a significant drop in their offensive production. But this is a new year and this time around lazaro will get the start last year he pitched 3 strong innings in relief duty in that wildcard round but obviously more will be expected of him this time around and bob melvin believes his young alarm is ready for the test. As we saw last year we you know we use them in a different role. We brought him in the wildcard games and looked like a veteran on the mount you know its really well hes compose hes got great stuff. I think youre is one of those guys that kind of relishes these type of games. All righty heres how that aids white sox series breaks down game one and 2 tuesday and wednesday at the coliseum both first pitches are scheduled for noon game 3 if necessary would be thursday also in oakland that time is to be determined will have coverage out there at the coliseum tomorrow. Now from an injury standpoint, feels like the fortyniners are taking one step forward and 2 steps backwards. Yes, they won on sunday and nick mullens look great but they lost another one of their tight ends in the process, one they had big plans for jordan reed sprained his mcl late in the 2nd quarter. He will be placed on the iron miss 6 to 8 weeks reid had been playing some great football. This season, he led the niners with 11 catches on the year and also has 2 touchdown catches and this is after only getting 10 snaps in the opening week, the niners plan to ease him back in after signing late with the team in an already shortened offseason ca shanahan saw him and George Kittle as a tight end duo that can blow up opposing defensive game plans. But now both of them were on kittle should be back soon and read. Who has dealt with his fair share of injuries in his career will attack every have to look to return in the 2nd half of the season. I know hes disappointed but im not discouraged. You know i think he was really like murray is out this isnt some is going to take some time. You know just what they say probably 6 day weeks which does take sometimes i know hes disappointed in that. But nothing thats going to after that it is rehab pardon.
