Thats due to some of the winds that are supporting temperatures overnight. Slightly cooler off towards the coast a little bit of the north bay, although that will not hold current winds to give you a general idea theyre kind of hodgepodge up here in the north but winds are winds notice double digits around fairfield you will see a lot right there in napa but certainly around that area there are certainly is quite a bit of wind activity saying alina sometimes as one of the spots we tennessee hot, some of the higher wind gusts at work with all of this going on it still remains the same. Welcome back 7. 15 on this sunday morning were continuing to track breaking news out of napa county where a wild fire broke out. Early this morning, forcing mandatory evacuations for a large portions of saint helene a area kron fours reyna harvey is in napa county. She is joining us now live with the very reyna. The morning. I think the scene for you this morning. So i just arrived here insanely never right behind me. This is actually one of the local Grocery Stores here which is in now service seen as a kind of gathering location for people who have been evacuated so were actually joined live this morning with brian. Just had to evacuate his whole you know, lets lets start with how are you this morning in mind fine oddly enough i a im actually out here from nashville, tennessee, helping with the from the from the vacaville fire. So i didnt think id be part of the the next event up working late doing some work about 00 30am in the morning. I of the winds have picked up maybe an hour before that for a massive crash sound like you know its a huge tree someone the candy and im up on sunnyside road venice hospital up on a home out in deer park road area and over a massive crash. I know that riyadh taking another trees taking out a house can look around and see much had the windows open and my girlfriend woke up a little little while after that maybe a little before 4 and thought she smoke went outside that time and look kind of north in just a whole ridge was on fire. So started running up and down when youre in the neighborhood know to get up in about just saw the flames about a half mile from we were only be Crystal Springs glass mount area. So you yourself you know out here helping with one being are getting away from one this all happens. You know the first thing that came to my when she realized what it was like you immediately when to let me notify everyone else mode. Yeah i mean it was for the morning. So im im probably wont dumb enough to be awake, you know not but yeah, i mean it was you know it was pretty windy out so i think a few folks start here in a few sirens of folks starting to kind of. Well about that a lot of folks are to cnn, no idea so we just started blowing self in a car rolled off the mountain so. You know im getting into this area right now and all you see is trapping people you know kind of trying to get out of the area, you know what would you say because you see it up there first hand just how bad is a look i know were about 50 acres right now no containment, yeah, i mean right now i think mainly you know heavily wooded areas. I didnt i didnt cant sesame structures threatened it was you know if any which way the winds are in the winds were kind of loan, you know probably initially the south and see what theyre blown up more towards u. S. , you know sour southwest. I you know well see definitely definitely kind of scared us to come that close not some you know weve sat around before when theres been you know activations on the street not left it was like and its not close. But those spots like well what i can see the flames standing in the front of the house time to role of all right brian, thank you so much for talking to me as were on right and i also want to introduce you to. To the lovely ladies here, the Grocery Store in go ahead introduce yourselves. You guys now went from working here the Grocery Store to helping people let me show you everybody behind me. These are other people who have been evacuated their feeding the people this morning. Some may go ahead introduce yourselves and well talk about you know whats going on you guys he are live here you work here how are you this morning you know were were here for the community, my name is janet you learn on the director at Sunshine Foods. In our community has been run through the gamut lately, least we can do is is provide some coffee and some breakfast for everybody in the community that that is you know out of place in the now. Afraid of losing their homes and everything were Good Community were Small Community and we all pull together when we pull so when did you first hear about you know everything thats going on and what was your first thought when i was walking to work as i just down the street. It was almost 05 00am. Im walking on ice snow, snow and icy smoke and im like oh no i. Then you can kind see it from that direction and i came in and thats when all this started unfolding coworkers that you know i dont know how many have been evacuated. People are going come in the parking lot. I am thankful that i work for such a Great Company comes together with the community and over the help of these people shouldnt his center jeff because my heart hurts for everybody in my prayers of everybody and im just thankful that we could do this for so in terms of evacuation have you heard anything about this area are you guys going to have to evacuate at some point if this point and we havent had any even advisory, but you know after the past few years 17 was santa rosa were always prepared. You know everybody has an assignment if something should happen. Just to get everybody out get everybody and into a safe spot with win for both of you personally you know you live here. I mean how are your homes. This morning. Again i mean think were ok but it depends on which way the wind goes apparently its its a you know so far i mean in you know. I live in napa proper so i just drove up as soon as i found out this morning hopped in the shower and then came up obviously you guys are feeding people this morning what people said to you know they just always so appreciative then an ungrateful i say were a Small Community where they all shop here anyway they you know they get to have their favorite breakfast sandwiches just a little earlier today the absolutely we want to have it any other way thats what its about. You know. Thank you ladies so much i appreciate you both thank you so say thank you thank the direction. Ok so again we just spoke to to the people who work here at this local Grocery Store you can see the parking lot field of people who have had to evacuate very close to many of the wineries that are in the area, a very difficult morning for a lot of people waking up this morning so just literally arrived pulled over started talking to some people got the camera shot up and as you can see people trying to be in good spirits, but still theres a lot of allow. Of uncertainty and i know a lot of those people say you know you just have to always be ready obviously weve been in this red flag warning so folks obviously didnt expect necessarily to wake up with this mandatory evacuation. But thankfully that community is tight knit and theyre helping each other out we do have a list of the Evacuation Orders on our website kron 4 dot com so had there if you have any questions. Ready right back with welcome back we are tracking breaking news out of napa county where the glass incident wildfire is burning were going to bring in dave spahr now for a look at the conditions up that way dave thats what were all really worried about high fire danger up that way. Yeah and the offshore winds have checked in and weve already got them the color shun here indicates just the general zone solano counties and napa counties. There were the first to get the winds and they have and its only just going to continue in that region throughout the day today tonight and even a little bit into tomorrow morning will spread out, but this will be the area that will be most affected through the entire wind event live picture again just checking things out as we take a look at Half Moon Bay theres you will notice the shot from sfo will be what looking for some looks like smoke dropping south of looks like a little bit with this offshore wind event thats in place. We have 60s 70s on the board for right now 73 for 50s and 60s up there the north bay 63 meanwhile for San Francisco. But with a new statement or 2 that has popped out we have a wind advisory thats been added this basically covers and areas that have not been covered by the red flag warning you will notice in the east bay down to the south bay peninsula in San Francisco. Freakishly hot weather is expected for today and this extends up to the north bay Solano County are also looking at a wind advisory this being the offshore winds that weve talked about and the good old red flag warning is with us around until 9 oclock on monday east of the east bay hills you will notice also solano counties and this napa sonoma and marin all of them included in all of the counties not just in the Higher Elevations which was initially in the initial statement when this all came out. Projections now lets see what actually happens with the shul see the winds still hold together pretty well as we go into late tonight looks like theyre shipping a little bit off to and Sonoma County a little bit then it comes back again as you will notice for Sonoma County and up there to napa as well after that it looks like that means monday into monday afternoon looks like for the win part of the forecast were done lets take a look at the moisture part of the forecast it dries out today as we talked about into the teens of course its going to be very hot. So relative humidity levels obviously would be very low and they will be then we get to the recovery tomorrow morning and we get nothing we dont have any green on here usually get a little bit for the marine layer forget about it so this is how monday starts off. We go into the afternoon it drops off anyway in the humidity levels start to get into the Single Digits in some cases bone dry conditions across the bay into tomorrow afternoon just a powder keg in terms what that looks like for today, its sunny and hot as what were talking about sky conditions dont look bad for the bay area standpoint for now 80s at the coast 90s bay, 100 plus well inland. So thats why the heat advisory has been posted till 07 00pm on monday and thats where we got the red flag warning cooking all the way until this should be until monday afternoon it looks like highs today were at 94, San Francisco, 91 open 91 san jose, a lot of uniformity with temperatures around the bay because we dont have the typical move into the air mass just have air sitting on top of you. It doesnt matter the fact that youre near a notion, the more 100 livermore also conquered up to nap and a one 02 going on for santa rosa, well take a closer inspection of those numbers in your 4 zone forecast in a bit well. All right, thanks dave stick with us well be right back with the latest on that glass fire incident burning. What happens to your body language when your underarms are cared for . Welcome back 7. 30 on this sunday morning and it was a rude awakening for People Living in napa county has a fastmoving wildfire, threatening several homes forcing dozens of evacuations, residents of saint in and around the Deer Park Community are all ordered to evacuate now due to this fire which is being called the glass incidents now there are. Huge list of Evacuation Orders that have just been kind of compiling over the last couple of hours the latest being for College Avenue at Howell Mountain road to White Cottage road. And all of friedgen drive that includes all roads west of College Avenue and friedgen drive as well as le melle road just a few minutes ago napa county. Tweeted out the latest on the Evacuation Center for folks to go to if youre looking for a place to go the Evacuation Center is now open at Crosswalk Community church thats located at 25 91st street in napa again Crosswalk Community church is where those who have been told to evacuate and are fleeing their homes this morning can go for a little bit of reprieve here is a kind of wider angle of just the plumes of smoke coming from that lena area. We have been in high fire danger red flag warning for this area up and napa county im going to bring in dave spahr for the latest on conditions up that way dave winds. You were saying were headed towards the west is that coming up after the northeast and the north to and thats pretty much we talk about and they are coming that direction words were seeing that happen. Right now as we speak and it will happen too much of the day for today. Thats what we have for right now, but thats only going to continue to build into the afternoon. Sky conditions here around the bay havent really reflected that yet. But the day is certainly young that some of the shot there just of Half Moon Bay to reiterate our red flag warning that some places east of the east bay hills solano counties affected by all of this as well as napa sonoma and are in asia will see it is not in the peninsula, but its okay because they have their own heat advisory thats in place for San Francisco with freakishly hot temperatures expected today. We have a lot of 60s 73 going on for csic steese and 50s up to the north bay, 61 for san jose the breakdown for 79 by 11 at 2 oclock were talking 91. Well. Thanks stay work and going to continue to track. That breaking news out of napa county where the glass fire broke out early this morning folks were ordered to evacuate around 05 00am and those evacuations continue to grow kron fours reyna harvey. Has been chatting with some folks who were evacuated this morning, you know its just really heartbreaking to hear some of the stories coming out of this area. Im just spoke to miss murray and robert givens right now here one of the local Grocery Stores that has now turned into a makeshift. Sheltering facility for so many people and it had to evacuate their homes so one. Just want to say im sorry for everything that youre going through for the people who are just getting a chance to this morning can you tell us what happened well weve got an excellent for 30 that we we needed to evacuate and it started on. Crystal springs road and then our daughter called us and said look out the window and the flames are right next or how so weve got the first up and evacuated and as were coming down the hill. If that the ribs its coming up our house, so we might not have a house to go back to where evacuated not even a month ago for 12 days and now here we go again and this time. I dont think we have a house to go back to this time i have to really prepare myself. Because it might this be nothing and thank you to friend same for opening up their parking lot maybe was food and coffee and this is where you know where your neighbors are out i mean i dont know what else to say this it was scary and the fire is going bad and i dont the winds are not going fable believe i cant even imagine what that was like for both of you and i was talking to maria here she said she was shaking understandably so everything you guys have been through. You know how are you doing this morning well since weve been through it that has fired 2017 and a previous fire and of course, the current one. We have got used to it become prepared and mentally prepare ourselves for just take a we need and realize that you may not have what you go back to and as long as we have ourselves our health and our you know and our and our primary belongs were going to be okay. But what seen those flames coming over the ridge line where how close it was it was really surreal this time versus the fire from a month ago where it was or excluded from us we didnt see it per se, but this time its yes if if there weve seen it its i mean we can see from our driveway. Thats pretty close we can see the actual flames from your driveway, it is look at the copper how mountain right on the corner of how not a White Cottage. We overlook the northern part and the fires right on the Crystal Springs ridge line which is the next line order from us which is probably a quarter what were you able to grab close basically put Important Documents and not in pictures that this may close documents at that dog thats it. I mean thats all we can grow wheat, there was nothing else Everything Else it is what it is weve learned from previous fires you know new tv set you dont need this and that you just give me the very basic so make sure we have our bags ready at all times on you have hurricanes here we have the wildfire so were just learning how to adjust to the environment make sure that we have everything ready to go. A a message maybe for the other people in the coming dont fact be ready to go all the time of that bag ready to go all the time dont let your guard down could not we dont let your guard down because guess what happened the 3 in the morning it can happen at any time. So dont just let your guard down go a last minute to get out seriously thats thats the most important thing when you get that. That warning evacuation. Pack your stuff so that way when you get that mandatory you can get out because we have that one lane coming off of that the mountain we have over 6,000 people up in that pocket community to have a onelane road coming down they could very well is leaving other paradise situation with the backlog of people trying to get off a hill. So dont i mean dont mess around with this take it seriously and that i noticed coming into the town this morning. You have here right and ill you have the 2 way road but still there are a lot of people you know and there were a lot of safety vehicles trying to get into the area and you had to pull over immediately to let them get in so i could see just how much backlog you could potentially in how every moment count. Yeah because we only have one lane to get out and they also they closed down how Mountain Road. So theres no other second way to get out its just their part out. So its one of i like you said 6,000 people up there i hope the hospital evacuated because theres a hospital up there on cemetery road that was headed in that direction. Will be region after that information as well thank you both for taking time to talk with thank you very much thank you have a good like you just heard that its really hard to take in everybody is experiencing this morning i spoke to cal fire. On the way in this morning and cal fires message. He said one to let everybody know please have your bags ready. Just in case in your area you are asked to evacuate because the winds are already picking as you can see shift in out here this morning and he saying that theyre going to unpredictable for the rest of the day at one point it seemed like the fire was actually going back on itself back into that deer park area like those residents and how close the fire was to their were going to be out here covering this for the rest of the morning and its just a sad situation for many of the anxious families that out here right now you can see here in this parking lot this morning waiting to hear word about their homes. Well. Yeah, you definitely feel for these folks i had goose bumps as she was telling us her story thats definitely not what you want to see on your phone at 00 30am in the morning and then of course to see those flames so close to their home. I really do hope that what she is is preparing herself for is not the reality i really do hope that their home is still there arena. Back 7. 45 on this sunday morning and were continuing to follow. Reports of the last incident fire burning in saint helene a mandatory evacuations have been ordered for the Deer Park Community in around the Deer Park Community. The fire again being called the glass we already knew we were in the high fire danger weather we had a red flag warning up in that area through tomorrow night and unfortunately this is what people had to wake up too early this morning being told to flee their homes because of these fastmoving flames up in saint we are going to bring in now dave spahr with a little bit. A better idea of what the winds are doing up there dave. Good morning well and yes, rude awakening it is. Now this just from the National Weather Service Website here want to give you just a general idea of these winds right there in napa valley and those familiar with the geography what will know about all of these gentle locations but notice how all those little arrow things that are kind of sticking out theyre all pointing top that means thats the wind coming from the north and thats pretty consistent and is glaring through real quickly with these red numbers, those are wind gusts and weve already seen plenty in the 20 mile per hour range, thus far to this event is still just unfolding of course and it is extends all the way up to Lake Berryessa as well. Now mount saint thats sometimes where we tend to get some of those heavier wind gusts there are in place so were going be watching that on the corner i threw out all the morning just to see how winds do there but to give you a macro view of everything this is whats all happening up here in the north bay Solano County in napa arrows pointing from the north we present them on television with the arrows go in this direction expect more of that to expand be showing you this now on the futurecast wind gusts so the winds now move off a little Sonoma County. Not as much are in but still you have some breezy conditions and then later on it returns to Solano County also through napa counties you might get a little bit of a break going on here late tonight. Then another little up tick happening on monday morning before its funny subsides, at least when wise but will be banking off of a dry atmosphere still another new wrinkle here is also heat advisory. The geography covered in all this is east bay shoreline down the Santa Clara Valley, the peninsula and even San Francisco looking at numbers to reach maybe 90 today again, we dont have the right kind of circulation help cool the conditions around here and up to the north bay you can see also looking at a heat advisory as well central valleys into the middle 90s for highs today with sacramento, what 100 but lets get to it in your 4 zone forecast 90 San Francisco to the coast will be at about 80. This is all due to the fact of like not having an ocean almost because we dont have the typical even drift of an onshore flow that helps out upper 80s to along the peninsula bayside here the 90s hiding out south 93 palo alto 92 for redwood city, Santa Clara Valley is pretty much in the lower to middle 90s with the east bay shoreline about 90 tri valley, youre reaching for 100 livermore 98 for dublin, 100 conquered and walnut creek, 91 for Oakland Berkeley at 89. Up the Solano County upper 90s in place 93 bunny at 93 sometimes with winds like this. You dont actually get as hot temperatures as you would expect sometimes in the valleys you can get some compression ul heating sometimes will happen. But across the general geography you dont necessarily always get warmer temperatures than you would without winds winds help at night particularly keep those temperatures supported one 02 for santa rosa in 90s as we head down south, lets give you general idea that 7 day forecast keeping it near 100 the next couple of days, well get down to the lower 90s and maybe some 80s for the weekend that a feelgood noel. All right, thanks dave. The reds indicate hour wind gusts that weve had weve had them pretty much in the upper teens into the 20s and the big issue here is those arrows pointing to the north that indicates winds coming from the north okay, lets come back here and generally speaking to give you the broader sense of thing Solano County in napa thats where most of the action is hiding out. Temperatures are in the 60s actually because of the winds supporting temperatures a bit. We have 70s off to the east and 60s as well 64 meanwhile for san jose. So its no surprise were having problems east of the east bay hills, a red flag warning Solano County. Also napa and sonoma and marin counties all incorporated in this and add to this we have a heat advisory for the peninsula in the south bay east bay as well in the north bay, so just about everywhere is also looking at a heat advisory will mourn your forecast coming up noel. That breaking news a rude awakening for People Living in napa county this morning as a fastmoving wildfire threatens homes and forces thousands to evacuate. Residents of saint in and around the Deer Park Community all ordered to evacuate now the fire being called the glass incident, mandatory Evacuation Orders are given around 5 this morning and they kept expanding anyone living from silverado trail cross to lark need lane through to deer park road in the community of deer park being ordered to get out now that also includes all of Crystal Springs road and north fork Crystal Springs road. This is video. Of those flames that cal fire has just been describing as fastmoving earlier this morning around 05 00am they said it was about 20 acres just a few minutes ago an update from cal fire says that this fire is now 800 acres you can see the smoke just billowing. From this view here again this is burning in saint helena thats napa county. There is an Evacuation Center in place it is at the Crosswalk Community church located at 2590 first street in napa thats where folks can go for a little bit of reprieve. But we also know that a lot of folks in the community have just been gathering at a Grocery Store parking lot there in napa county were continuing to get some stories from those folks, thanks to our kron fours reyna harvey she is live this morning in napa county. Shes been speaking with a lot of those evacuees who some just a bit ago saying they dont think theyre going to have a home to come back to let me tell you it is been heartbreaking to hear the stories out here this morning actually talking to 2 brothers right we have clayton were evacuated from the deer park area this morning and the story they tell is almost unbelievable first gentlemen, i just want to say im sorry you guys are experiencing this this morning and ask you how are you doing. Im im nervous. Im doing fine and im just im ready to go were going over sacramento, right now say with some friends going to be safe going to be away from all of this right now. Lets talk about what happened this morning play. So i woke up my friend called me or lets say 4. 30 in the morning. I run outside smell star goes crazy. I wake up all of my family in a run around were packing stop iran across the street. Awaken my so weve got to go there all freaking out run back up actually take the dogs we packed everything we had that i box is on top of our car with. Extension cords and just it was crazy going down the road getting out of there was hard i got out multiple times checking the boxes just papers flew everywhere. It was really stressful. Once we got down the hill we went to my friends house and we were situating and from the ports we saw just explosions of fire roaring everywhere flames. Just as it was crazy, we were scared because their house right there. We were coming down over them out when the fire was pouring down to the hospital and it was miles like a couple miles away from our house luckily, the wind has changed going towards west away. But its still is really scary cant even for you what was that like leaking ups and seen all of this coming no idea was going on for the most part was just rather saying packing up getting everything helping out. I had to basically be very between boxes and back seats i had to be can join in there like a puzzle piece seeing that fire like through the cracks of the stuff just maybe think like this is kind a new normal that we see with this happens almost every year and its like this and think that this point knowing that it happens often i mean are you ever ready for Something Like this well we should be more prepared. But were just like its not going to happen again were hoping it will happens again. Were generally invest trailers so its easy to pull out get out of there fast this is its been crazy. We we got kind of master down the packing skills what it says over time its a surprise you know youre waiting here at this Grocery Store. Pretty uncertain about whats to happen how are you feeling right again, im nervous and stressed so packing a scared because if we didnt get out we could have been killed is just it was scary. We would just want to get out and we relax now were safe. We have food and were just were ready to go somewhere i feel its a great thing that what theyre doing here that were we have a place to go. Theyre giving people food and it seems like town really like most places here. They do for when theres a disaster like this. Thank you both for taking the time to talk to us, you know, even know you guys are experiencing what youre going through because this is a Strong Community this is going to break us schools not going to fall down. Were not the full down. Firefighters were going to beat this for nick protect the hospital everyone hopefully is going to be safe. Thank you claim, thank you sean so much. So again you heard from people who had to evacuate firsthand this morning. Theyre frightening experience avenue get everything in you never can quite be too ready or prepared when Something Like this happens. So right now everyone just kind of waiting were here the parking lot and you can thereve several dozen groups of families youve got people that are also in their vehicles right now people. Or will and so this is pretty much the scene here in this community. Very smoky sky this morning as well you can smell the smoke and you can actually see pretty much the fire in the distance there looks like clouds in our back the back of us but all of that is smoke from the fire so again people not really knowing whats going to happen next anxiously waiting. But the local Grocery Store people are stepping up to help families that are are really going to do it in this difficult time right now exactly with which Grocery Store is it that youre at where argue. So this Grocery Store is the name his Grocery Store this is the sun shine Grocery Store or as a leader right now mrs. I want to say a few miles away from where the actual you know fire is burning off in the distance here, but this is one of the closest community Grocery Stores to where all of the people are being evacuated in the area and so as soon as they came to this parking lot. The Grocery Store year everybody picked up arms and started feeding people. Well theyve even me food several times definitely and decline that because the people in the area needed most but theyre giving people water and food and its moments like his like we talked to the manager here the Grocery Store earlier, where theyre doing their part because they live in this community as well so this is their way to try to take here. Well their community their family members why people wait out possibly the most difficult day in their lives that theyve experienced noel definitely again i get chills. Every time another person is telling us their story of just how scary. That was, but again thankfully, the community has kind of have this makeshift Evacuation Center for each other there in that parking lot arena, thanks so much. Obviously a lot of folks saying they usually do have bags ready or or they know that its important to be ready of course theyve been in a red flag warning. For a couple of days now and weve got some high fire danger up in that area. So thankfully, a lot of folks did already have their stuff packed dave spahr standing by with a better look at conditions today a new well a good morning and good morning everybody with all of this that we have your near lake hennessy have been looking at some of the conditions in and around up there. And were talking about wind gusts in the 20s for the most part in all of arrows are pointing directly from the north all through goes right through napa valley there and that kind of channels the winds lets give you broad basis scope of everything thats going on here real quick Solano County and certainly napa look at that fairfield already clocked a 21 all this morning, its going to be breezy up there and continued dry conditions as well 60s up here the north bay 60s covering a good chunk of the east bay 73 livermore an antioch 64 meanwhile for san jose that red light warning goes until 9 oclock tomorrow evening as you can see the coverage east to the east bay hills and up to the north bay or Solano County first and then off to napa and sonoma and also marine and usually a lot of this was for the Higher Elevations, but course is all county wide. Now its the new wrinkle we have is a heat advisory that covers much of the east bay shoreline an extended east to down the Santa Clara Valley and also up to the north bay with a wind Advisory Office a county. Now temperature wise we expect 93 going on by 93 by 3 oclock or so but probably high temperatures in many areas will pop up near 100 or so right now, aarps work is more important than ever. We hear Older Americans loud and clear, and thats why we fight for what they and their families need. Access to healthcare, affordable prescription drugs, opportunities to save for the future, ending age discrimination. A healthy, financially secure, fulfilling life. Thats what aarp fights for because thats what everyone deserves. Join us in fighting for whats right. It is a 12 on this sunday morning and were continuing to bring you the latest on the glass fire incident that is burning in saint helene up in napa county. This fire is now at 800 acres 0 contained. Thousands have been forced to evacuate their homes this morning and firefighters are going to continue to deal with winds throughout the day as they tried. And battle this blaze, we will bring you the latest information as it comes to us in just a bit stick with us here on the kron 00 04am morning news for the latest information on the glass fire. At 8. 16 on this sunday morning we are tracking breaking news out of napa county where the glass fire incident is burning right now were going bring in dave spahr with a look at our forecast because we are in some red flag warning states. Yeah good morning. Well, good morning, everybody and the winds have already started in offshore direction as we talk about what started the north bay that they have theres the shun to give you the general idea fairfield already coming in at 21 mile per hour winds but up near the fire weve already been seeing clocked winds in some gusts. Well in the 20s going on up there and that will only continue throughout the day for today live shot for you Half Moon Bay even places along the coast going pretty be pretty toasty theres sfo enjoy the blue skies because with the wind direction like this from already passed fires, the smokes going to be sent down here were just going to add to that with this new one. 60s up here to the north bay for right now mid 60s cover the east bay shoreline 77 going on for antioch what weve added to this besides the red flag warning now is a heat advisory, this is all the east bay. The south bay peninsula, including San Francisco. And also for additional coverage were going the north bay involved in this too and this area of tan hair for Solano County off of the Sacramento Valley is for a wind advisory back to the red flag warning now this will be with us until 9 monday. Theres the east bay coverage Solano County napa and sonoma as well as more and more the big issues that also changed to was its not just the Higher Elevations. It is also down to the valleys it does not tend to be include the peninsula but were looking at low humidity levels. Tomorrow, the recovery if you want to call it that is very very modest really not there at all in terms of getting a marine layer just give new projections here for example napa coming in at 22 Miles Per Hour winds. Expect that throughout the late Morning Hours it will subside a little bit Late Afternoon into the evening. Push over looks like a little bit to the west temporarily only to come back again in the Solano County napa it looks like as we get to your monday morning, one of the reasons why they keep it around here for so long that red flag warning that is is because conditions were made to be quite dry with all of that this is what im talking about lets go and check this out here throughout the day today. Obviously those numbers fall look at that and colors here bone dry east bay up to the north bay and peninsula, even though theyre not in the red flag warning technically. The recovery that i mentioned for tomorrow morning. Wheres the green normally it was spill into around the bay area we dont see that 20s to the east and even the teens up to the north this the Morning Hours with temperatures the lowest were having temperatures in the 60s and yet you have relative humidity level values in the 20s like that so that really just goes to show you how dry it is and only drop throughout the afternoon hours too. So its mostly sunny going on in hot today. We have heat advisory thats been added until 11 00pm. Are live from 11 00am today until 07 00pm on monday. Those temperatures are going to be pushing all around the bay. In some places like San Francisco might be looking at highs today of 90 which is a little bit beyond what we typically could ever see red flag warning dry conditions with the winds in place thats until 9 oclock on your monday. So its very simple 94, San Francisco, 91 san jose and oakland at 91. This underscores the fact when you dont have local winds. This is what you we dont have any impact at all from the marine layer all to help out across the water geography will reach for a couple of hundreds of to those inland areas and expect this to remain tomorrow in linger a little bit into tuesday coming up in a bit well take a look at the 4 zone forecast see whats going on in your neighborhood. Well. All right want to get you an update on the coronavirus here in the bay 27th inmate at San Quentin State Prison has died from complications due to covid19 the prisoner who was not identified died friday at an outside hospital, san quentins californias oldest prison and home to the only death row for men has experienced the largest outbreak of coronavirus among prisoners in the state that outbreak has prompted demands for governor Gavin Newsome to grant mass releases in order to stop the virus from spreading further Officials Say san quentin currently has 3 prisoners who are positive for covid19. There have been more than 15,500 deaths from covid19 in the state of california and nearly 800,000 confirmed cases here in the bay area nearly 1500 people have died due to covid19 and there have been more than 100,000 cases reported there is some good news though the states test Positivity Rate has now fallen to 2. 9 thats the lowest since officials first began tracking that number back in april hospitalizations and the number of icu patients also on the decline. So good news for sure, however state Health Officials are concerned about a possible spike in hospitalizations as more businesses are allowed to reopen. You back to our breaking news out of napa county where a wildfire broke out early this morning, joining us now on the phone is calfire p i o tyree zander tyree thanks for joining us. We know were at 800 acres right now is there an update in terms of how large this fire as. Thats why about we got report of a nation fire. At the 200 block more. For Crystal Springs road and depart. Kate a we have been speaking with some of the evacuees that have kind of been gathering with each other at different areas this morning. A lot of them have been mentioning the hospital theres a hospital there in deer park a lot of them a little bit worried about the patients there what can you tell us about the hospital. Right now theyre dishing with hospital working on evacuation of the hospital ok ok i was what a lot of folks were wondering there what are the conditions that the firefighters are are dealing with right now in terms of winds the heat out there. As new in the were were expecting plan today as i e. Relative humidity. We are all reporting that they are good way up on the hill. And that the sun coming up and obviously warming up there as well. A lot of folks saying that it but exactly what you guys were tweeting that this was fast moving folks say they got their alert and then as soon as they were packing up their things and getting ready to go some were seeing the flames a very close to their homes can you talk to you about the behavior of this fire just how fast it is moving and growing. We on arrival it was about 20 acres. Athlete through 50 acres and now 100 i mean just just in over a couple of hours hundreds of acres burning up that way at is that estimate right to to how prepared people need to be. Making sure that youre ready to go one. The Evacuation Order comes where your area going to benefit. Help you as well as our fire trying to work on getting people evacuated and as well as other Emergency Responders popping up mission. We know theres lots of we spoke with one family who said you know that theres about 6,000 residents in their area there in in deer park where theyre living in and just you know theres one lane in and out so when it comes to structures that have been threatened or destroyed to be have any count on that just yet. Not as of right now youre early in as time goes on public that will become available. Okay, okay, so right now 800 acres 0 contained. Theres dozens of evacuations here we will we have all of those on kron 4 dot com for the thousands of people who are being ordered to leave their homes, anything else youd like to say to to the public in that area right now if youre not enough for alert. Through the county sheriff or not the your comment. I get signed up for the that way you get the alert went out. And again make sure that youre ready to help we i love you and your family remember its accusation thunder. You not Crosswalk Community church. Com in a scary and frustrating for a lot of folks living in napa county those in saint or a skating where the glass fire is brooke currently burning they had been in a red flag warning as well as high fire danger of weve got dave spahr standing by with a look at our conditions this morning red flag warning in effect through tomorrow. The be all day tomorrow too as well just give you an idea on those wind profiles world quick in terms of those arrows are pointing north that means we have the northerly wind directions and ive been clocking some winds that have been gusting at about 20 or so. Now lets show you what currently is going on across the broad base of everything here we have the winds up around fairfield a 21 mile 4 Miles Per Hour. But we been seen gust through napa and sonoma that exceeded that elsewhere its fairly common thats part of the reason why its going to be so hot for today give us some more statistics on this on the glass far we about 800 acres burned according to cal fire. 20 mile per hour wind gusts as one of clocked in some of the reporting stations in around that area. But heres another important thing a dew point value of 36 now sometimes we dont show this on the air a lot thats really a good number to look at when you got dew points in the 30s youre talking about some bone dry air there. So it doesnt matter what the temperature is its very very dry almost getting to the point where its hard to even get a coke can or something to start to sweat on you because the air is so dry you can still do it. But its getting close to freezing on that front now no surprise with all of this. We have a red flag warning east to the east bay hills this will be it for tomorrow afternoon Solano County is involved in this low humidity levels are into this is also in the lower elevations, not just the Higher Elevations which is how all of this started we were talking about so basically that give you the idea of the geography it is not the east bay shoreline, peninsula or San Francisco. Instead theyll have heat advisories, there temperatures going on right now weve got the mid 60s on the east bay shoreline 77 antioch 60s up to the north bay and 64, san jose a break in the day day down for you about 84, so by high noon 93 if youre lucky by 3 oclock in some east bay locations but when you get inland expected to be much higher than that go well. All right, thanks dave continuing to track. The breaking news out of napa county where the glass fire broke out early this morning, thousands have had to evacuate kron fours reyna harvey joins us live in saint thats the community that hit hard this morning. You are speaking with evacuees, everyone has a story. Youre absolutely right everyone has a story including mister neil year. You have to evacuate with his wife and daughter from deer park this morning as driving through the fire trying to get out. Theyre here like i mentioned Sunshine Foods parking lot where this is many evacuees location for a lot of people so one, lets talk about what you experience this morning, yes, it to my wife got a text from neighbors who listen to scanners so theres a fire in Crystal Springs and weve got friends in Crystal Springs, so i jumped in my truck. Road down Crystal Springs, and sure enough as crossed over this little creek i could see the fire cresting over and then theres a lady we buy eggs from site called her up chants of the phone she said, yes, i know that the fire on thank you for calling taking off so. Today i went back to my house and i called my wife and we have a text string with a bunch of our neighbors and to let everyone know like this is big and started honking my horn everything and then for cop cars started flying next week. The opposite direction so i knew it serious and could see is a lot closer than those fires to just a month ago. The absolute last all of the First Responders flying into town on my drive in this morning. For you when you first that that tax rate and you why first let you know one of the first initial thoughts that go through your when all of this is happening. What to bring with the grab so i just email my wife a week ago like heres the list i have what we get the last fire a month ago, i forgot to get the dog cage, so this time got the dog a dog, the dog food, Everything Else and it just heard hide held out of there. So we have got you guys are getting everything ready month. I i present, but you made you decide hey this is the time to make sure we have the things we didnt just an experience month ago having evacuated not remembering everything so. This morning as youre getting everything in your your you guys are you know talking to neighbors. Part of what has been the mood of everybody this morning. I mean it seems like you see people that are nervous of says some people in good spirits yeah, i definitely literally i before right before you came over grabbed me i checked and my power was down because ive got the thermometer that tells me what my temperature is and i just saw that came on my house temperature 74 degrees and you know the sprinklers are going on so i know our house is not burned but. Were on elm saving which is right off of glass mount which is right off of deer park sanitarium so were right there where it could easily go and were in a wooded area so. You know 2 weeks guys telling all our neighbors on like the lose our houses to fire in next 10 years im guessing so its yeah its sad but lot memories are got to be a lot of things i specially for your family and your young daughter so. She asking new questions this morning about what was going on was she is really good because during the last fire. Its like it was just she and i my wife had went over healdsburg to take care of her and that was in a fire situation so i definitely to my daughter like it makes go write down all the windows are open central and give her something to do to stay busy. So she did all that night later on close all the windows turn the lights on some Fire Department where the lights are out there. So what where the houses are located in everything but so i think she well adjusted right now, im our friends who live Crystal Springs and were all here so just testament here Sunshine Foods in this parking lot where everyone is. From all these different areas i mean for you knowing that your local Grocery Store. Going to step up in this what does it mean to is a lot its its fun. Like i like okay, this is needed sunshine we did we first got here you park the car the cars without knowing where the lines were and then later on about an hour 2 hours ago, like hey we have a report the cars because theyre this real their customers everything getting yeah right a message for everybody maybe watching this morning who lives in the area. And are waiting like my message is make sure you got go back pack make sure you have all the different necessary things like turn off my gas before i left to do just got through that checklist. Thank you for talking to us this morning now think you are right so i you know another story from this morning, everybody definitely different perspectives but everybody feeling the same anxiousness awaiting to see what the status of their homes are now this bill Grocery Store their steel feeding people in the parking of people are still camped out here i see you know we dont know how long people are going to be here and i spoke to some people earlier who said the last time they were out of their home for 12 or so days. So the people in this area have experienced prior to today and now theyre just sitting here many people thinking this might be the time that their house is actually do go up in flames because and the fire being so close and its in close proximity. So again were going to be out here. I think in heavy smoke, you can smell it all through the town here and people for the most part sitting back waiting in their cars youve got their animals are dogs. Cars are piled up with clothes. And you still see people shopping here the Grocery Store as well so well be on scene will be talking to more in the coming hours and theres so much uncertainty around whats going to happen still noel, thanks definitely a lot of uncertainty that gentleman saying that he you know got the alert on his from his kind of smart home type of. Situation so he knows that his home is still there which i know is probably a sigh of relief for him, but again this fire is very fastmoving it grew from just 20 acres around 5 oclock this morning. Yes, a bad mixture good morning. Well and weve had the red flag warning because conditions are dry. Offshore wind of the winds are already checking in. These contours give you a general idea of the approximation of the area really Solano County napa and now chipping away. Its sonoma counties that are getting heaviest wind gusts with this now a lot of the reporting stations in around the spot here havent seen winds real high, but weve clocked them about wind gusts around 20 or so calfire body 100 acres burned 36 degrees in the dew point value like always point that out because the factors we have all of this moisture. Theres not in the air and therefore it is very dry. Thats going with the future wind gusts here there you can see it moves to the west now it starts off where it is now, but it moves west. So its not going to be as windy in the spots were talking about this morning by the time we get to late this afternoon evening. Overnight but then it flips back again in the Sonoma County by very early tomorrow morning. And so im sorry Solano County and also to a napa counties before we finally put the wind park to bed. But the event is really not over at that point because were banking on a dry atmosphere that is going to be with us all day for tomorrow and thats why that red flag warnings with us all day added to this list now we have. A heat advisory theres the east bay and out of the south bay also peninsula and up to the north bay as well lets get you into the 4 zone forecast 90 going on San Francisco because we dont have a lot of the surface winds in the local area. We have the offshore winds are happening. But we dont get any impact from the coast, so temperatures can get crazy 80 going on along the coast, the peninsula side were looking at upper 80s meanwhile, 90s heading down south 92 san carlos 91 for a Mountain View in the south bay most readings in the lower to middle 90s 90 or so well do it along the east bay shoreline tri valley at 100. And it looks like 100 also walnut creek in concord now these kind of numbers are going to stay with us it looks like tomorrow potentially as late as tuesday before things start changing getting into next week 97 fairfield 93 again you dont have help from the bay to cool you off a little bit today, 104 napa and sonoma and also santa rose at one 02 with more 90s heading down south. This is were talking about inland here as we go to one o one on monday tuesday at 99. But we stay in the 90s for good chunk of next week until we get to the weekend. Numbers fall into the 80s still well all right, thanks dave. We are continuing to follow. It is spreading dangerously fast. According to cal fire. We are going to just continue to bring you the latest information as as weve said thousands have been evacuated. There are so many folks that were you know needing to got their alert on the next lap around 4. 30 this morning and then had to just quickly get what they could to leave reyna harvey has been live in saint helene at this morning she has been speaking with those evacuees telling their stories of just how scary these moments were this morning having to leave their homes in the dark reyna hows it going. And you know its hard its rough for people who woke up this morning and still know whats going to happen to their home his 2 brothers july with this morning clayton shot we hear their story earlier that you mention you talk about hospital and actually the brothers very close to that you saw that this morning so tell me what that looks like so as we drove we are on the right side we looked over. And right above the hospital over the mowing thursdays fire just spewing out of the mountain and just it was inching closer and closer as we drove away, we were like they better get of actually some of save them and as we out of there into her friends house we looked across the valley and theres fire just going of less Mountain Road and pushing towards a hospital and just exploding in fuming and just very frightening for you both i mean people are just joining us evacuate yourself. What was that like it was it was stressful, we woke up just out of nowhere you get a turn on fight or flight just is crazy. We weve got couple times or use was just. Putting boxes in time along just its just been crazy its just really hard describe hectic scene papers flying everywhere people neighborhood what was that like im going down the hill papers are flying around to my neighbors will come up when we got to go is evacuation. The Police Coming by yelling at people just stressful trying to get people all the house was on what did you guys grab. Well i want grab just a lot of most valuables try to make sure that we had a central things weve got lot of paperwork we have a lot it in a box is described their peers lying because he had a second went out of the car and have enough room. Weve got so and we try to squeeze everything into the car i was completely smashed in there. Well try hold on to the stuff you at all in place and is pretty hectic. He said you guys lived through Something Like this before me that this is different how is this different is it different because it was actually close to our house and we could see the fire. Other times last we we saw the of the orange. But it wasnt that close, but we just evacuated just in case, theres just been rough, i broke my arm a couple weeks ago and just carrying self its hard just push myself through just working through this you mentioned you guys are in school right now online classes. So i mean how has this disrupted things well the last 4 and disrupted a lot we moved around had to get used to it now this one is going to mess with stuff as well and classes have homework do do tomorrow. Its going to be really hard to get through. Has no higher house is doing. We have information of our house is still intact or not but we have been getting notifications saying their partner media evacuation. So maybe its of maybe we dont know how long, but its very uncertain. Whats next for you were going down a sacramento can say with some friends stay with the missionary group and were just plan on flying through this. Were going prepare better for next for a message for people who. You know maybe are thinking about preparing and were not ready and what would you say to them. Make sure you have a big car trailers things i can hold things like boxes of bring your reporting pictures information scan pictures dont forget important things as you might not be able to go back to rival. Thank you gentleman so much for joining me you can hear in a well in the distance the fire truck were here in Sunshine Foods grocery parking lot. Were right behind us you can see theyve been feeding people. All morning long like these 2 brothers who are anxiously waiting to hear any word of their homes with us are you guys have experienced this this morning. Okay so were going to be here were going to talk to some other families as noel is just really heartbreaking the year. A lot of these stories a lot of families not knowing whats going to happen for them to even be willing to be open in this way to share their pain it is i can imagine this front that it takes for people to be able to you know get on television and talk about potentially losing their homes and their livelihood so its been a rough morning for a lot of this parking lot show you just how packed all of these for the most part are evacuees these are people that are waiting to hear word of anything you got the gas stations across the street. That are super packed full of people out of you can see that from here but basically thats been the scene all morning long and its you know normally neighbors described as the areas being you know pretty calm. But if youre out here you can see just how busy all the streets are the traffic here on the main road near of people are. Currently evacuating to see all the cars driving along here. We have those fire engines is actually higher. Emergency vehicle passing right by. The scene right there. Currently so thats been the scene in the area all morning long smoke over here. And so were just waiting to hear back. You know the status of the hospital. And other people in the area this morning well. For the moment going to send it back to you in the studio let everybody out here is just doing the best that they can with what Little Information they have will out thats right rain we actually did just get an update on the hospital is being fully evacuated now we just spoke. With the hospital the saint lena. Adventist hospital they are evacuating we do know that cal fire is receiving help from contra costa fire in that Evacuation Order so our thoughts and prayers everyone who might have someone or know someone who works in that hospital or someone who is a patient in that hospital, but they are undergoing evacuations there now dave spahr is standing by with a look at our forecast this morning dave its going to be hot. All across the bay area today william thats the thing everybody else is dealing in temperatures will be pushing beyond 100 for the inland valleys, but also looking at lofty numbers. In areas that dont see that such as San Francisco but starting with the winds will quickly up here in the north bay certainly was were a lot of the focal point has been and again its been an offshore wind coming in from the north. Some of the stats that we have going on in this class fire here about 800 acres burn was the number that were given from cal fire. Winds at about 20 for those gusts that weve seen in and around that area with dew point values that are pretty much held also about 36 degrees which is very bone dry air and very indicative of what we see all throughout the north bay in around the region as we will today, so far temperatures like napoles already moved up to 70 77 antioch 70 going on for a concord 78 for livermore lower 70s on the east bay shoreline 69 for san jose not wasting any time to see these numbers start to move because of the dry conditions theres a red flag warning Solano County also in this at all to the north bay, not just the Higher Elevations, but lower as well now an insulin doesnt have anything with this east bay shoreline, not either. Well they have their own issue thats prompt heat advisory thats in place this will be with us until tomorrow evening as well it looks like and also we have a wind advisory for Solano County thats a bad one because thats an offshore wind that we will have breaking the day down 3 about 88 or so at 1 oclock by 4 at 93. But a lot of areas will be popping near 100 will course have a look at your forecast coming up in a bit and more and the kron 4 morning news we are continuing to track the fast moving wildfire burning in in and around saint it is now 800 acres 0 contained thousands have been forced to evacuate their homes were going continue to bring you the latest updates as they welcome back to the kron 4 morning news we are tracking breaking news out of napa county where the glass incident wild fire is currently burning and its burning quickly. We are going bring in dave spahr to take a look at the conditions up that way dave i know weve been in a red flag warning its going to be hot again today. It is noel and theyre dealing with this heat advisory discovered a lot bigger chunk of the bay area we had before going on to places like San Francisco may see numbers get up to around 90 and folks lot of folks dont have air condition in the city and we just dont have any breezy conditions its great to have a cold ocean around you, but if you dont have any winds to help circulate that in the right direction. Problem so we have these offshore winds very familiar. The diablo winds are fully entrenched and theyre already being felt up there napa counties weve been covering with this fire. Thats been popping now weve seen dew point values in the 20s, heres just a quick snapshot of what the winds are going now to just give you a general idea of general coverage bleeding in the Sonoma County for now ill show you what the winds will do later on today in just a bit right now the east bay shoreline there you can see its fairly clear for now i suspect this will be deteriorating sky conditions as we have a spare the air day for today and that will be a forecast that will be extended also into tomorrow. Sfo no delays happening there now. Current temperatures were at 81 for any ox 74 napa was 60s going on for santa rosa. And foreign 68 for San Francisco soak it up 69 for san jose and 78 going on for livermore so this new little wrinkle you heard about the red flag warning but to add to this now in some of the same kind of geography like up in the north bay. The heat advisory in place, San Francisco, the peninsula and out of the south bay as well, including east of the east bay hills where they already have the red flag warning in Solano County now added to the list for a wind advisory going on lets get to what the winds will do this a little bit of a shift that happens later today off the snowman moran, a little bit. But then by the overnight and early tomorrow morning, its back to Solano County back to napa county so it looks like that dry offshore wind will be lingering all day and even after the wind event is over. Were still looking at dry conditions to prevail all day tomorrow and even it looks like into tuesday as well lets get to that part of forecast to first things first this afternoon. Those dew point values or the relative humidity levels fall of the lower teens as we get into tomorrow morning. These numbers should be popping in the well in the 60s and 70s we she see green around the they we dont see that instead dew points in the 30s directional lower higher rather down around san jose and only drops into monday afternoon into the teens as you can see or breakdown were talking about is mostly sunny and hot today, freakishly so when youre talking about San Francisco getting around 90 or so the coast at around 80. 90s cover, not just San Francisco, but a lot of the bay with 100 happening inland or plus heat advisories. I showed you there that goes until 7 oclock on monday temperatures will be hot all around the bay and the red flag warning until monday at 9 oclock so lets to 94, San Francisco, 91 san jose and oakland at 91. And its just blood red all over the map look up around point raise just a little bit of green wants to hang on there for cosmetic effect may be at the light tower perhaps it might hold in the 70s this afternoon or so but elsewhere, 80 plus and you can see triple digits to be found well inland of course, well have more in your 4 zone forecast in a bit know right, thanks dave napa county is one of the areas that pg and e has been monitoring for potential Public Safety power shutoffs today. In fact the area that the glass fire is burning this morning. The area thats been evacuated was scheduled for a psp s at 5 oclock this evening. So just goes to show you. Enter at their product, what community church. 2, 5, 9, 0, first street in napa end up. Ok terry as we have been speaking with some of the evacuees that have kind of been gathering with each other at different areas this morning. A lot of them have been mentioning the hospital theres a hospital there in deer park a lot of them a little bit worried about the patients there what can you tell us about the hospital. Right now theyre think the issue with a puddle working on evacuation of the hospital ok ok i was what a lot of folks were wondering there what are the conditions that the firefighters are are dealing with right now in terms of winds the heat out there. As new in the were were expecting plan today as i e. Relative humidity. We are all reporting that they are good way up on the hill. And that the up it obviously warming up there as well. A lot of folks saying that but exactly what you guys were tweeting that this was fast moving folks say they got their alert and then as soon as they were packing up their things and getting ready to go some were seeing the flames a very close to their homes can you talk to you about the behavior of this fire just how fast it is moving and growing. Yet we on arrival it was about 20 acres. Ig grew 50 acres and now 100 or i mean just just in over a couple of hours hundreds of acres burning up that way at is that estimate right to to how prepared people need to be. Making sure that youre ready to go one. The Evacuation Order comes where your area is going to benefit. And then help you as well as our fire trying to work on getting people evacuated and as well as other Emergency Responders popping up accusation. We know theres lots of we spoke with one family who said you know that theres about 6,000 residents in their area there in in deer park where theyre living in and just you know theres one lane in and out so when it comes to structures that have been threatened or destroyed do we have any count on that just yet. Napa at the Crosswalk Community church. All right terry, i know that you guys are really busy up there and youve got a lot of work to do so thank you for joining us and giving us an update on the last incident burning there in st. That we appreciate it stay safe. The key thank you all right stic welcome back. It is 9. 30 on this sunday morning. It was a rude awakening for a lot of folks up in napa county where a wild fire broke out early this morning, forcing evacuations thousands about to flee their homes there was potentially going to be p s p s shot Public Safety power shutoffs through pg and e because of the high fire danger up in napa county dave spahr standing by with a look at our forecast its going to be another scorcher today. It is all over the bay area today. Good morning and good morning, everybody and we talked about today was going to be the big hit. Temperature wise and added to this this a new issue that we have to as well. Well sticking with the winds up here in the north bay there you see the Coverage Area believing in the sonoma winds are in double digits, weve clocked here lets get to some details here at the glass fire here weve seen dew point values in the middle 30s doll thats really bonedry they weve a low around the bay area. And what this force thats coming in is just bringing us more drier air. Winds clocked at about 20 Miles Per Hour with all of this, but well see them higher during the afternoon. In particular a mount saint like this thats one of the spots in the north bay that tends to get some time some heavier winds with that they can sometimes get we mention Hurricane Force winds wind event sometimes like this east bay shoreline for now looking okay, but we do have a spare the air day today. Also in place for tomorrow air quality doesnt look to be improving. Weve got 70s 81 going 4 on 4 antioch and thats current right now 70s up in the north bay 74 San Francisco, 69 san jose so added to this red flag warning real estate thats not in the red flag warning such as the peninsula, San Francisco, the south bay. Well, you know have a heat advisory this with you today and tomorrow up to the north bay to in Solano County lets add into the mix. A wind advisory were at it and thats a bad one because its an offshore wind. Heres what happens in the day today, you folks up in napa county will get a little bit of a break as we get into the afternoon or Late Afternoon into the evening as this ships more too. Sonoma counties are in but its still an northeasterly direction bad direction. Good solid amount the hour blow a type when then it does Research Back to Solano County napa not a whole lot of coverage in the east bay, but basically this will be pretty contained in the north bay the winds subside it looks like early on monday but were stuck with the dry atmosphere after thats all said and done. For today of course it dries out. But tomorrow we dont have the typical marine layer coming back in again forget about to see the stars and no fog but we just dont even have that marine layer to help up a little bit. We always get something around the bay in the east bay shoreline but it looks like this go around the force of winds. Well just keep that marine layer out to sea so its like were not at a coastal location. Numbers will continue to drop tomorrow afternoon into the teens with the offshore influence highs today were projecting about 94, San Francisco, rough for folks that dont have a c 91 going on oakland and 91 also for san jose cross the bigger board. 100 it looks like in the far east bay locations in inland spots as well looking for a little bit of greenery on the border around point raise a little bit recalcitrant there in the 70s but thats about it everywhere else is pulling toaster well have more in your 4 zone forecast that noel. All right, thanks dave. Again we are tracking the. Class a fire that is burning in napa county thousands were ordered to evacuate this morning kron fours reyna harvey is live in saint joining us now with some more evacuees reyna. Actually join live right now with the lewis family they had to evacuate anglin this morning and they describe this picture of them having to drive down the hill in seen flames all around them, its also its been difficult for a lot of families this morning theyve been here for several hours outside waiting, lets talk about what you saw this morning. It was about 5, 5, 15 this morning when i heard neighbors across the street other lights were on and there was this commotion. And ice off last nights around our house walking and there was someone knocking on our door. So ice cream down to my dad why didnt scream that i yelled out to my that i think theres someone outside and just he was opening the door to the answer clean and knocking on our the lights went off about 5. 15 or electricity he said theres a fire in Crystal Springs area you need to pack up head down the hill and from we started packing her started packing things look what did you guys grab this morning. We grads gosh i grab my work computer client boulder to some change of clothes. Mode youve bible and some books to read were evacuated for a long time of the book im reading. So grant survival and some books as she was reading. For for you guys i mean when you first heard that everything was happening guys are grabbing all your things. He was the first thing that came to mind for mister lewis i dont want to leave, i dont leave home but. I knew we had to so i always keep things in my trunk. So i said you know this could or to cause my truck out here. So he left us quick as possible. And that my truck and anglin and the parking lot up there and then go down here been here ever since. Their mom you said you actually. Said yesterday. He warned the family yesterday that tell it may be you know something we dont know lets talk about this. Well i just know that they say if you should have something packed like enough water for a person for 3 days. Canned food like an opener to a radio pillow and a blanket. Change of clothes and from sturdy shoes. And i said tomorrow meaning today we are going to get that ready and have it in the trunk of our car and ready to come. And now knowing that you guys absolutely the news outlet. How are you feeling. You know i i still feel really safe weve had friends from far away as North Carolina calling to for if weve people are ready. Offered places to community is really one thing lena and everyone is really helpful and they reach out all the neighbors and just make sure that youre in your car and youre heading down the theyre just everyone is very communicative and very supportive and coming down the hill they had fire trucks stationed along the way how but as we were driving down the hill coming around doubles you can just see the fire coming up the hill. So well see well see we just hope and pray for the best and we hope and pray for the best for the First Responders and prior to the firefighters is not the first time you guys have lived through this is a family is that correct month ago we were for a free a week. And with the reno savor their son. So yes, not the first time told my daughter i so they can go to sell my home and move out here this is really not absolutely not heartbreaking as it is id say theres any silver lining. Is the 3 of you are together yes, and you know you can always replace your home. You can always replace them, but as long as i have these 2 hearts walking outside of my body and im close with them. Its thank you guys so much for taking time to talk with me i appreciate im so sorry you. Thank you so much. Now also has just take a moment and just digest that i did that was very difficult to listen to you know they still dont know the status of their home or whats going to happen with. Their livelihood now also wanted you to 2 of the people who work here at Sunshine Foods. They have been very helpful with me this morning. We have matt smith, hes the manager here at Sunshine Foods as well as miss nicole davis. She works here at sun shines foods. They have been feeding people. Here in this parking lot. All morning making sure people who have no idea when and if theyll be returning to their homes. Have food to eat so well go ahead and chat with you both. What ill just start with you know call because you had to evacuate. What are your thoughts how are you feeling right now and do you know anything with your home says it will so its been difficult we just had to fire up here last month so. Actually have things still pack from the last one thing i will say is that thats what i love about Sunshine Foods and i love this community because they care about their employees they care about the community and just they want to keep everybody together and hopeful and you know its unfortunately i dont know anything personally about my home i think its okay but and how i look at it is things can be replaced, but you all my friends and family are safe. So. The dream is all the people you has been feeding. You know how does that make you feel and what have families express to you this is your community as well. Wed see wed it was impromptu of course we had planned it but. When we started rolling in this morning they were turning cars out in we had a crew already making breakfast in. Coffee in these people support us every so the least we could do was the small thing for them generally people seem to really appreciated just a small thing you know where they can come talk to people. I get a Little Something even some coffee people have been very appreciative of it it feels good its its nice to be able to do something matter how small it is cool. The small thing that a really big gesture in this moment, your thoughts for the community out here what would you guys like to say for you as well as youre waiting, you know for an update on your home and your neighbors as well. You know, i just like to say you know everybody just keep the hope and the prayers and you know weve been through this many times before so we all band together well get through this. And im with on that just try to remain positive in share that with each other as much as possible, especially under all the circumstances this is of course one one more thing on top of a layer of difaiculties. So i think community is all about that you know just be kind to each other. Thank you both so much, thank you both so much. So again we have been talking to families this morning youve heard many different stories all compelling all very touching so will be out here. Were steel waiting to hear were back for many of these families on their homes if theyll have homes to go back to many people just saying that theyre grateful that the First Responders were able to get in and get them that information and get them to safe places, many people still here in this parking lot. A lot of people heading off to different shelters in different facilities people leaving the area heading to other areas because they have no idea how long theyre going to be out of their homes and if theyre going homes to go back to so al i hear on the ground, its touching morning to hear all these stories these the stories death in the state with know i can tell that you lose if i can tell that youre youre getting very emotional. I i was over here chills and talking of myself as as you heard that one woman crying about how many people reached out to her and you can tell this community really has come together. To try and help each other a makeshift Evacuation Center parking lot that a lot of those folks have gathered in again there is an official Evacuation Center that is that Crosswalk Community church located at 25 91st street in napa so if you do need a place to go there is a place for you there stick with us were going continue to bring you the latest updates on the gl welcome back 9. 45 on this sunday morning. We are tracking the latest developments of a fastmoving wildfire thats burning up in napa county this morning, thousands have been evacuated that area had been under a redflag warning of course high fire danger and a fire erupted this morning dave spahr standing by with a look at our temperatures stave its going to be hot today. You got that right good morning. Well, good morning, everybody and just to take a quick look at what the winds are going up there on the north bay. Theres the coverage from salon all the way to Sonoma County where the heaviest winds are being offshore as they are little closer inspection of the glass fire here but an 800 acres burned 20 Miles Per Hour wind gusts with all of this and do points. Thats what we really like looking at that means you have to bring the air mass down to that temperature to get any moisture out of it down to 36. He was acquitted example if your as island is probably in the 50s there and you know how cold it is frequently there. So our wind gusts. Boom they continue and they moved to the west it looks like late this afternoon tonight overnight to affect Sonoma County, mostly but notice the direction being northeasterly are in a little bit to that red flag warning has gone be on just the Higher Elevations down to lower elevations to that was actually change from yesterday east bay there you can see again coverage there Solano County and back to napa counties as well now the winds to subside it looks like pretty early tomorrow, but were still going to be banking off of a very dry atmosphere with all of this. Now coupled with the red flag warning we talked about we have coverage of a heat advisory for the east bay south bay peninsula up to San Francisco. Were looking for very steamy temperatures there to reach about 90 today up to the north bay you can see the coverage there as well and Solano County has a wind advisories will try about 90 for a high today to the coast near about 80 or upper 70s will do to the bay side weve got 80s in place here san bruno at 8591 burlingame 87 millbrae but down to the southern end of the peninsula. We have some the lower 90s 93 for palo alto 91 Mountain View in redwood city at 92. In Santa Clara Valley approaching the middle 90s but lower 90s will do morgan hill 95, about 90 issue on the east bay shoreline tri valley reaching for 100 or so double about 98. 100 walnut creek concord 100. You know these east bay locations of these inland locations we frequently see that whats a little different this go around whoa as we see temperatures like San Francisco about 90 is a little different with that 95 for san leandro getting steve in the east bay shoreline locations. Surprisingly not as hot for vacaville and fairfield but dont forget the winds interrupt that daytime heating. Tricky for napa will say about 100 and also sonoma, one 02 for santa rosa because the winds again can interrupt that a little bit 90s as we head down south. Just plain hot. Dry, so it feels good for your perspiration and so forth to cool you off but definitely a fire hazard watching the next couple of days, temperatures stay quite steamy the next couple days. Then we drop off to the 90s well, whatever and then as we get into the weekend, some middle 80s for you know well triple digit temperatures up there now but not necessarily what we want to see. As a fastmoving wildfire continues to ripped through some Communities Just east of say how lena now, thousands of people have been forced to evacuate several homes are threatened of course we still do not have details on the number of structures that are threatened because it is still early again all of these Evacuation Orders came out just around for 4. 30 this morning residents of saint in and around the Deer Park Community were all ordered to evacuate. The fire again is being called the glass incident. The Evacuation Orders are for several different communities. That happened they get they kept expanding over the course of this morning anyone living from silverado trail crossed a lark need lane through to deer park road. And the community of deer park were ordered to get out. It also includes all of Crystal Springs road north fork Crystal Springs road Howell Mountain is one where evacuees that our kron fours reyna harvey have been has been talking to a lot of folks mentioning how a mountain some 6,000 residents up in that area. Thats the area where folks were saying they could see the flames coming towards their home this morning as they hurried to get just very scary and just emotional stories coming from folks this morning who are having to to leave everything behind not knowing. Whats going to come of course they had to do this several weeks ago, when it came to the lnu lightning complex fire. So this one the glass fire. As cal fire says its not 800 acres, it is at 0 containment today and its spreading very quickly you need to have a go bag of course dave was telling us 100 degree heat, there is some wind up there that the fire crews are dealing with as well they are getting help from several other. Fire departments we do know that San Francisco fire. Fire tweeted earlier that they have sent an immediate strike team 5 engines and one chief unit, 22 firefighters are heading up to help with the glass fire so. I know that Contra Costa County has also sent up several of their units as well to help with the evacuation of the you say holding hospital thats there in deer park so. Lots going on up that way. Our thoughts definitely with those who needed to leave quickly this morning as we know this has been an on precedent and the wildfire season. We do want to take a look at the cal fire map in california more than 3 million acres have burned. Thats the most in the States History calfire estimating more than 4 million structures have been destroyed in the state we do want to just kind of quickly go through those fires that are still burning across the state. So august complex thats the dough fire that is up in mendocino and humboldt counties that one is our largest fire at 873,000 acres right now 43 contained on that one the scu lightning complex still burning that one is at 396,000 acres 98 contained though so thats some good news there the lnu which is up in napa thats where a lot of folks had to know a lot of folks that weve been talking to the evacuees of this mornings class fire they had to evacuate from the lnu fire which you know burned there near Lake Berryessa a little over a month ago and had continued to burn that one is 98 contained as well. The north complex fire still burning the creek fire is also burning thats the one in fresno and madera counties that one is standing at 302,000 acres 39 contained as of 9 oclock this morning. The eskew s complex fire that burning down in tulare counties near the Sequoia National forest in the National Park service. So that one is at 149,000 acres and then of course the next largest fire that cal fires working on right now is our class fire that weve been reporting on all this morning again 800 acres. 0 contained were going to continue to bring you the latest information. As well. We do want to bring you the latest information on. We are going to head to break now, but well be right back with the latest info on the unfair money bail system. He, accused of rape. While he, accused of stealing 5. The stanford rapist could afford bail; got out the same day. The Senior Citizen could not; forced to wait in jail nearly a year. Voting yes on prop 25 ends this failed system, replacing it with one based on Public Safety. Because the size of your wallet shouldnt determine whether or not youre in jail. Vote yes on prop 25 to end money bail. And welcome back to kron 00 04am morning news, good morning, everybody would another quick check of the weather to see whats going on here up in the north bay weve been sort of focusing a lot of the broadcast here with the fire going up the glass fire. But it really covers a larger area of territory an approximation is to give you general idea here is were talking all the way to Sonoma County with the projected offshore winds that weve talked about just a snapshot of some of the conditions there. We have 20 mile per hour wind gusts, not just one station but several in and around that area dew point values very low. In the 30s and that again is fairly consistent that were seeing. Now temperatures right now already in the lower 80s far east as you can see in the east bay 70s up to the north bay 76 meanwhile for san jose just to reiterate again that red flag warning is with us until tomorrow night east of the east bay hills Solano County sonoma napa and also to are in counties with all of this going on here theres a breakdown for we expect temperatures for highs well in the middle 90s and beyond well. Today about to wrap up the newscast here but our coverage does continue all day long on our Free Streaming Service kronon were continuing to track that fastmoving wildfire burning in saint it is now at 800 acres, the glass fire mandatory evacuations, continuing to grow this morning we have been speaking with evacuees will have more of their stories.
