And we need to adapt moving away from its Community Spread watch list system the state will now use a 40 year to colorcoded system from purple representing counties with widespread covid19 transmission to read for substantial orange for moderate and yellow for minimal the tears are based on covid19 case and positivity rates you some noted 38 counties in california are in the purple widespread tier with the strictest rules we expect this to be a dynamic list and continue to see people move into different tiers no matter what tier of counties on newsome announced indoor barber shops hair salons and indoor malls can reopen across the state the handful of counties representing 12 of the states population in the red tear can reopen indoor operations at gyms restaurants, personal care salons museums, zoos and places of worship with minimal capacity schools can also reopen in counties that have been in the red tier for 2 weeks just over one percent of californias population is within the orange and yellow tears which can open indoor operations at wineries bars and card rooms with other businesses allowed to expand capacity, this is going to require us in this new framework. Has charred more than 373,000 acres, it is 41 contained this morning, 5 people have died 4 others hurt. 1080 structures have been destroyed so far and another 30,000 are still threatened. Lets move to the scu lightning complex fires in parts of the east and south bay has burned nearly 373,000 acres with 40 containment this morning, 28 structures have been destroyed 9 damaged and more than 20,000 are still threatened. And then we have the czu lightning complex fire in the san mateo and santa cruz counties. It has burned more than 300 excuse me 883,000 acres and is 27 contained cal fire says that one person has died in the fires more than 800 structures have been destroyed and more than 10,000 are being threatened. Cal fire has this advice for people who are returning to their homes. They say to first of all to make sure that your driveway or any area around your home is clear of debris or downed power lines and be sure to check for any tree limbs which might fall and to check under your debt grid gutters or any outside vans for hot smoldering embers before you go inside your home be sure to make sure that you dont smell any natural gas or propane. And for the second time this week protesters came together across the bay area. An opposition to Police Brutality and systemic racism there were 2 large groups in downtown oakland and san jose. And in oakland, it was a relatively peaceful demonstration once again. Police say the just one person was arrested friday night during the demonstrations for pointing a laser at officers. And a very similar scene in the south bay to take a look at video from near first street downtown san jose yesterday protesters, theyre holding a moment of silence to honor those who have been cole killed by Police Across the country. Some demonstrators though vandalize the home of san jose mayor sam liccardo he is the second bay area mayor to have their home vandalized during a black lives matter protests in as many months. You may remember oakland mayor libby schaaf toma spray painted during the protest after George Floyds death and kron fours reyna harvey live for us this morning in san jose she has more rain. Good morning will san jose mayor sam liccardo says although his home was vandalized by demonstrators overnight. That does not represent for him, the black lives Matter Movement this happened just before 11 oclock when demonstrators made their way into his neighborhood here on his front lawn. It has charred more than 373,000 acres and is 41 contained this morning, 5 people have died 4 others hurt. 1080 structures have been destroyed so far and another 30,000 are still threatened. The scu lightning complex fires in parts of the east and south bay has burned nearly 373,000 acres with 40 containment, 28 structures have been destroyed 9 damage and more than 20,000 are still threatened. The czu lightning complex fire in san mateo and santa cruz counties has burned more than 83,000 acres and is 29 contained this morning. Cal fire says one person has died in the fires more than 800 structures have been destroyed and more than 10,000 are still being threatened. And cal fire has some advice for anyone who is returning to their homes. They say first of all make sure that your driveway in the area around your home is clear of debris or downed power lines and be sure to check for any tree limbs which might be in danger of falling also check under your gutters any outside vans for any hot smoldering embers and before you go inside your home make sure you dont smell natural gas or propane.
