Another big story were following this sunday morning President Trump signed 4 executive orders aimed at helping people financially during the pandemic the president made this move after negotiations on capitol hill for the next stimulus bill collapsed. The orders include differing student loan payments and helping renters and homeowners who would be facing evictions another order would continue pain supplemental federal Unemployment Benefits. It would give an extra 400 a week in Unemployment Benefits, but thats less than the 600 that people had been receiving. Its not clear exactly how many people was will receive that full amount thats because the president is asking individual states to pay 25 of that 400 benefit and since many states are already dealing with budget shortfalls because of the pandemic they may not be able to cover that amount every week. This morning House Speaker nancy pelosi responded to the president s executive orders last night. First of all hes saying states have the money now they dont they have expenses from the coronavirus they have lost revenue a second of all. If everything is left at our systems to the schools ceding the hungry helping people who are going to be evicted president s. But what about in due met moratorium, he just did a study or look at a more china. Well the other big order signed by the president is a deferral of the payroll tax. The employee portion of that payroll tax would be deferred from august 1st through the end of the year which means you could end up seeing more money in your paycheck if you are working, but unless Congress Makes those cuts permanent youll likely have to repay those taxes at the end of the year. President trump said that he will make the payroll tax cut permanent if he is reelected. This is raising concerns over the future of Social Security and medicare which are both funded in part by the payroll tax democratic president ial nominee joe biden says the executive orders put Social Security at risk, but the president s economic adviser larry kudlow told cnn this morning that the president will protect Social Security. There you can see the shot in the bay bridge toll plaza with some of that fog starting to lift off. Some 80s on the east bay shoreline already by tomorrow thats going to change the east bay shoreline will be corrected into the 70s and those 90s will start to erode away and some 80s, well be places in Contra Costa County and up the Solano County a little sluggish in terms of staying in the 90s for good portion this week the next weekend. Another heat up we will call quite a heat spike but he bump as we get back into more generous 90s for those inland valleys now for today, San Francisco checks in at 6875 for oakland, 88 for san jose. You can find a complete list of cases by county listed on all our website kron 4 dot com. Now on to another big story were following this sunday morning President Trump signed 4 executive orders aimed at helping people financially during the pandemic the president making this move after negotiations on capitol hill for the next stimulus bill collapsed. The orders include differing student loan payments and helping renters and homeowners who could be facing evictions another order will continue pain supplemental federal Unemployment Benefits it would give an extra 400 a week in Unemployment Benefits that is less than the 600 of people had been receiving. Its not clear exactly how many people received that full amount and thats because the president is asking individual states to pay 25 of that 400 benefit since many states are already dealing with budget shortfalls because of the pandemic they may not be able to cover that amount every week. This morning House Speaker nancy pelosi responded to the president s executive orders. First of all hes saying states have the money now they dont they have expenses from the coronavirus they have lost revenue a second of all. If everything is left at our systems to the schools, cheating the hungry helping people who are going to be evicted president s. But what about in due met moratorium, he just did a study or look at a march giants. Well the other big order signed by the president is a deferral of the payroll tax the employee portion of the payroll tax would be deferred from august 1st through the end of the year which means that you could see more money in your paychecks if youre getting a paycheck, but unless Congress Makes those cuts permanent, you will likely have to repay those taxes at the end of the year. The president says that he will make the payroll tax permanent if hes reelected. Now this is raising concerns over the future of Social Security and medicare which are both funded in part by the payroll tax democratic president ial nominee joe biden says the executive order puts Social Security at risk, but the president s economic adviser larry kudlow told cnn this morning. The president will protect Social Security. A 2 yearold mercy restaurant on Treasure Island is open for business after preparing for proper precautions required to operate amid a pandemic the park all rich in the sun boys have fought tooth and nail to keep it going only to face an added hardship on wednesday burglar smashed a window and took off with the register as well as some liquor that will cost them about 4,000. Meanwhile the president of the European Council has called for an independent inquiry into the blast that left a 158 people dead and thousands injured on tuesday, the president says of this investigation is key to lebanons recovery. This comes as the country was already near bankruptcy due to the pandemic before the explosion. Were also learning more about the deadly plane crash in india on friday, the passenger jet swayed violently as it tried to land in a monsoon just before skidding off the runway and splitting in 2 18 people were killed and more than a 120 people were injured. Investigators are reviewing the flight data recorder that was recovered from the crash site. And were seeing an improvement of the fog situation over a good chunk of the bay area but none of the golden gate and along the thats going to kind of pesky with overcast skies expected inland those 71 for any ocso been going on for livermore mostly in the 60s elsewhere around the bay. A look at your forecast coming up in a bit the kron 4 morning news continues. Good morning, welcome back 9. 14 this sunday morning time to check in with days borrow as the forecast for us heidi what youre cooking there in the background me out of the fog is starting to lift their from our sutro camera as you can see. Good morning. Marty good morning, everybody and our shot from timber on look at this hardly anything left blue skies going on here except along the coast. And the golden gate, this is where its stubborn and kind of hanging around a little bit and its going to be kind of a big divide or in terms of those temperatures remaining cool what everybody else is warming up around the bay as things clear out here is the progress thus far 71 antioch 70 going on for livermore got plenty of those 60s lining up on the east bay shoreline and even inland and 60s even up to the north bay 68 for san jose peninsula, 50s and 60s so a future cast for we go forward and a little bit of the way of a spotty little isolated shower is a possibility up in the sierra marine layer comes back again for tonight we do the whole process again tomorrow afternoon though a little bit more action going on is that high starts to weaken. And well see the temperatures start to retrench to theyre going to go back a little bit nothing too crazy hero because of the warm end of spring if you will that cool wind of summer almost not about summer thus far breaking it down for you today, we got the fog and the cloud cover this the shot of the bay bridge toll plaza there you can see the bright whites off to the background there temperatures will be the 80s and 90s mixture inland, however, more 90s today than yesterday and those 90s will be a little bit more progressive aggressive going on as we push near the century mark. Meanwhile this week they backtracked so the east bay shoreline as early as tomorrow or tuesday, certainly well be all retired to the 70s again, and it will be more the 80s and 90s as you go inland then next weekend. It looks like we go back to the heat spike coming our way at least close to it as we venture back in the business of the middle 90s for today, 88 San Francisco, 75 for open 88 meanwhile, san jose now these numbers are pretty similar to what we saw from yesterday but just step away and you see more progress here weve got 98 for antioch 95 for concord but places and Solano County pick up a backdoor going to be up to the upper 90s as well 88 san jose meanwhile, and 94 santa rosa. Coming up in a bit well course well check of the 4 zone forecast for you the extended and also check into a new Tropical Storm in the western or in the west coast of mexico, robin. All right. But first well take a live look outside very light traffic and some sunshine there on the approach to the richmond sandra fell bridge. Good morning. Were back with bay area baseball in just one day after giving up 4 home runs for the dodgers. It was the giants are to flex the muscles last night in la the giants taking on Clayton Kershaw and the dodgers, lets move to the 3rd inning thats when Austin Slater would hit his first home run of the season deep to center field deepest part of the ballpark a solo shot to give the giants a one nothing lead. Then 2 batters later, heres mike just ran ski going deep to right for his 4th homerun of the season now would give the giants a 2 nothing lead and in the 5th thats later again this time to deep right center field its gone his second home run of the game that makes it 3 zip giants and then use trumps key again this time he didnt go out, but he went all the way to the wall with a double that would drive in another run for the giants they would go on to beat kershaw and the dodgers by a final of 5 to 4.
