The intense heat happening elsewhere around the state got 60s in place along most of the east bay, real estate 50s up to the north bay. A chilly 46 Half Moon Bay thats delightful 62 meanwhile for san jose. But to compare things for just 24 hours ago, a look at inland spots really dropping off conquered 5 degrees behind you can see up in the north as well will make up for that this afternoon, however, as we warm up winds currently work on the Single Digits for the most part well get that typical on shore wind again kind of shielding us a little bit at least in spots this afternoon. Heres what it looks like were at 83 by 11 oclock at 2 at 95. Some folks getting close to 100 if not getting there will be showing you all about your forecast. Now to the east bay this morning restaurants in Alameda County can no longer offer Outdoor Dining only drivethru and pickups are allowed kron fours reyna harvey live now in Alameda County she has all the details on this health order iran, a good morning and the morning marty you know for a lot of bay area families Outdoor Dining has been the thing to do when i have run out here in the east bay in Alameda County i see a lot of people enjoying breakfast or lunch out here and they said they really enjoyed the time that theyve got a chance to be with their family and get a little bit of fresh air a lot of people were hoping to take advantage of that nice warm weather were going to see this weekend but Outdoor Dining threw out Alameda County is no longer allow now for a few weeks people were able to enjoy Outdoor Dining. But the state has issued new and stricter guidelines restricting people from being outdoors sitting down and enjoying a meal. Now why Alameda Countys Health Officials and allow Outdoor Dining now we know that all restaurants wineries and bars for the states guidance in Alameda County may only be open for drivethru or pickup delivery options now is able to talk to some residents out here this morning and heres what they had to say about the for the purpose of this covid19 pandemic and for the health and safety of say the general public. Im im kind of for Something Like that you know look. Im im 58 years old and not you know, im susceptible to you know help maybe a package to pandemic or dividers it might be lights out for me so i say. Then doing Something Like that it is a necessity. This the morning as you might remember california this week we hit a record toll in the number of daily deaths that we saw with coronavirus a 149 this week now again officials have not issued a word on when theyre going to change this or how long theyre going to restrict people from eating outdoors or participating in any of those activities and i mention that again this is a new update that are going to change plans for a lot of folks but all with the intent and keep the people safe for now reporting out here in Alameda County reyna harvey kron 4 news, you know rain one of the many things we learned during this pandemic is the need to be flexible. And this is yet another example of that. Absolutely marty absolutely right thats right rv reporting for us in the east bay problem. Speaker nancy Pelosi Says Congress must extend the extra weekly 600 unemployment benefit beyond july 31st, but she says it should be part of a stimulus package that includes money for hospitals testing and local governments they really are all connected. They are all of one piece we do not have a handle on this democrat Brian Higgins says given the recent rise in covid cases Congress Needs to help americans stay home without losing income to long youre still with us. We will need to provide disaster. Relief. Speaker pelosi says all of this is in the heroes at the 3 trillion dollar stimulus package. The house passed in may. Com good morning welcome back of your saturday is off to a good start were levin this picture, postcard view of the Golden Gate Bridge this morning, lets go ahead and check in with dave spahr for the forecast today pay good morning marty good morning everybody on is delightful looking good to its got to come to a place to hide out a little bit this afternoon as temperatures in london really start climate its going to really earn the title of being in the middle of summer of july later on this afternoon. Thus far temperatures not too bad. We have some 60s in the far east bay, even 67 for any ah but lower 60s do it for most of real estate from a check in at about 56 there 35 redwood city, a cool 46 this morning for Half Moon Bay with up in the north bay weve got kind of a mixture of 50s at this hour. Now for the winds will have the typical up tech with winds that go on which is kind of nice because being on short kind of shield us a little bit. But the winds on balance are behaving themselves. We were a little concerned about offshore when trying to develop here. But these local on shore winds to help out a bit not us a service by cooling but by throwing just enough moisture our way to keep somewhat those humidity levels up a little bit more so so we stay out of the fire zone problem right now us as official statements are concerned. But still the dispute is that a little bit of an afternoon breeze going on speaking of which is going to check out the humidity level see the green that we have right now that really should be covering the hole. They shoreline all over the place its barely doing that obviously today we drop off those numbers they stay in the double digits at least and we have 30s 20s in spots thats getting right on the borderline theyre a little bit these socalled recovery overnight doesnt quite get everybody little bit down on the southern end of the peninsula there up in the north bay dont quite get the greenery there but look what happens and about 24 hours or so we dry out again tomorrow afternoon shore but then by monday morning. There we go now were back to normal as we start to get more of that marine layer right up against the east bay hills and filling up the peninsula there so thats what we like to see in the Morning Hours to kind of ward off any fire concerns. So weve got mostly sunny hot inland reaching for 100 and some spots tomorrow, mostly sunny still warm. But were chipping away at it with more those middle 90s is expected inland with some 80s even penetrating the base still then for next week weve got minor cooling as 90s inland start to fall in some parts into the 80s even so well have a little bit of relief work in their 68 San Francisco today, 76 for oakland, 88 jose. When its kind of modest compared to our neighbors in the far east bay that will be looking for really hot numbers, heres just a little sample here, one oh one in the aac conquered about 194 for santa rosa and again 88 down to san jose coming up a little bit here were going to show you what its like in your 4 zone forecast right now check in with rob a little traffic note here. It happened on a tv south at the davis street offramp at 2. 45 this morning, a driver spun out ran off the road. The vehicle caught fire was engulfed in flames and it looks like the driver did not survive. So this is right between the on and the offramp thats the only thing thats close the 8. 80 south davis street offramp completely shut down the coroner has been called out to the scene if youre looking for an alternate youre going to have to hop off at 98th avenue or marina you will not be able to use davis street because of this fatal crash. We do not have an estimated time of clearing but as soon as they reopen the ramp will definitely pass it on. Happening tomorrow, the Golden Gate Transit Agency will be making changes to its services Ferry Service to and from San Francisco will continue to be limited and on weekends only bus service on routes to and from San Francisco will be cut in half the Transit Agency says this will allow more buses to routes that have seen an increase in ridership in recent weeks go to a transit says that ridership dropped by 90 . When shelter orders hit back in march and now at 75 . When you lee says it will take at least 6 months to restore most of its service. Many says one major reason is the need to limit bus capacity because of social distancing requirements. Another is a shortage of drivers which was a problem even before the pandemic many Metro Service is scheduled to start up again in august. This is a short spike however it will be warm again tomorrow but a little bit relaxing of the temperatu for your health one of the big mysteries about covid19 is why some people who contract the virus have severe symptoms or may even lose their life while the others have mild symptoms or none at all our Health Health expert karen along joins me this morning to talk about what scientists are beginning to discover about the virus and karen a big discovery has to do with blood sugar levels. I hi marty high their care. Im not able to hear i hear you, but i just wanted to say that when you are. When you have high blood sugar it has an impact on the way that you. React to the coronavirus so if your blood sugar is very high. Theyre finding. An association between. Association between. How you survive what they did was they had to in china, they looked at the. The patients that came in with the coronavirus and those that were hospitalized. They found that those that came in with high levels of of blood sugar, were the ones did not have good outcomes and those are the ones that. They predict it would probably die from the disease, so its really really interesting how theyve linked to high blood sugar with the survival of the virus. Karen one thing about the blood and businesses at this is found that people that have that have high levels risk of diabetes. Those are the ones are African Americans they are 60 more likely to diabetes. Therefore theyre also the ones that are at higher risk of the covid19. South asians stay out there up to 6 times more likely to have diabetes theyre thinking that maybe its because of the way that they metabolize glucose differently so. Thats the next thats. And then when it comes to being hospitalized. From covid19 theyre looking at the young and healthy. The young and healthy often think that theyre not at risk but if they are overweight their risk of being house hospitalized from covid19 is very high. Also those that have a healthy weight. But they they also think that maybe theyre going to get away with being at risk. They are also at higher risk of being hospitalized if they have this dysfunctional immune response that were talking about and then when it comes to diseases linked to diet. Of Heart Disease diabetes those people are are also at high being hospitalized and having some of the year. Symptoms from covid19. All right karen, thank you so when it comes to you trying to reduce your risk so one of the things that you can do is just avoid inflammatory highly inflammatory foods and those are the saturated fats. Animal fats and tropical oils and also the refined sugars. Are definitely things that tie in with an information. So if you watch your diet also try and manage your blood sugar youre going to reduce your risk of having serious symptoms from covid19. Karen thank you so much giving us an insight into what scientists are learning about covid19. We have a lot more and will will getting back to karen in just a little bit well try and take care of the technical issues, well be right back. Its a local when it could do some shielding force into us just enough humidity into some of the inland areas keep us out of the fire danger zone but were kind of close which will be showing you 60s right now weve got the upper 60s and a good chunk of the east bay over the east bay hills a touch cooler along the shoreline here in the mid 60s own as well, 56 for free month though, 65 for san jose with 50s and 60s mixture there up to the north the comparison sake most readings. Are ahead of the ball game around the immediate bay but inland still recovering from last night as you can see dont worry the recover very nicely into the afternoon as we reach up to around 100. Just knowing some of the local winds again will have a little bit of an on shore drift going on today that will do enough for the immediate bay to keep the temperatures somewhat control but you get further inland, you dont get that impact obviously and away go temperatures like hey i want to retreat trade 83 going on 11 by 2 word 95. Not the High Temperature for many folks well show you this real quick here to get an idea what how high were going to get 100 conquer one oh one for antioch livermore youre looking in tri valley at 97 and up to the north bay some mixtures of 90s and 80s. So you know a lot of Business Owners just kind of shocked and surprised that now this change has been put in place and id like to talk to some officials this morning about how they plan to implement this and help Business Owners put this in place marty yeah really is topsyturvy in a lot of parts of the bay area and alameda is no exception thats reyna harvey reporting for us robin. The movement to allow for more social distancing behind bars as death toll to climb a troubling new report from the centers for Disease Control and prevention about how covid is disproportionately killing black and brown americans. The fresh cdc data showing on average those minority groups are dying from the virus at a younger age when compared to white patients. Im Morgan Wright in washington coming up House Democrats continue to urge good morning were back with the National News as democrats are urging the senate to take up a Police Reform bill that has already passed the house. And the senate has already failed to pass its own Police Reform bill washington dc correspondent Morgan Wright has details. I dont think theyre going to rest until we do the right thing. Rhode island congressman david says only nice as americans demanding justice for Police Brutality wont stop until Congress Passes meaning for Police Reform banning choke calls to making sure all officers had body cameras. Given Police Departments, the tools they need to hold bad officers accountable since only nice as the George Floyd Justice and policing act already passed by the house would do just that but the senate has in touch the bill what they cant do is try to stop the American People think theyve done something about this serious problem in our country theres this idea where sometimes you just have to lee. Connecticut congresswoman john hayes says House Democrats wont give up i think the American People are not willing to accept less House Democrats say theyre ready to work with Senate Republicans but need the gop to show a willingness to compromise the first vote was a failure South Carolina senator tim scott authored the senates Police Reform bill he says hes working with congresswoman karen bass who authored the house bill the more she has taken a look at the bill, but the more she is. Scott says hell keep working as lawmakers on both sides remain optimistic for change reporting in washington, im Morgan Wright. And most of our readings right now are the 50s in the 60s antioch at 71, but the hold tight for this afternoon is going to be a roller coaster climate has a look at good morning welcome back its 8. 16 this saturday morning and weve got 60s at the coast in triple digits. Inland sounds like summer in the bay area dave climate control. Yeah weve got it all over the lot going on for today enjoy these cold temperatures with everybody having you know the 60s going on this morning and some 50s because were going to looking for the couple and happening in a big way, Golden Gate Bridge shot little bit the way some coastal clouds kind of drifting across the sky just a little bit gives you a conversational piece if you will temperatures thus far mostly 50s and 60s 71 for any august far and again temperatures will climb very cookie will join you this morning and off into the afternoon it looks like as well. Now the winds were going to get that typical on shore wind. Its really kind of an insulation a little bit from what could be because it does provide with a little bit a marine layer, getting off of some of those portions of the east bay keep those humidity levels just elevated enough, and the winds calm enough to were not in the fire danger, proper but still going to be fairly dry which will be showing you and then later on well start to get the fog back again not until probably only in the week by monday morning mature see somewhat of a build a little bit now lets look at the humidity levels again they drop off during the day today in the usual suspects and the far east bay there. But they stay at least in the 20s in the 30s are not dipping into the teens at least theres the marine layer right at the coast you can see this socalled recovery if you want to call it that you dont see its spilling off into the delta at all like a typically does, you know it doesnt make all of the bay area in terms of the shoreline. So the marine theres not too potent as we go forward were not going get the cooling effects and that either theres the dry out that happens tomorrow afternoon and theyre against the marine layer there we go it funny spills in the Central Valley, everybody started to get some relief as we get into monday them. So its mostly sunny hot inland. Got temperatures can near 100 or so going on today, then tomorrow, mostly sunny still warm us just take a little bit of the edge offered a shaming the temperatures give him a haircut thats about it got some 80s going on around the bay. Then for next week some minor cooling. 90s still hanging on to portions of the inland valleys but more of those 80s to be found inland as well highs today, 68 San Francisco, 78 for oakland. 88 jose but in Santa Clara Valley we will see some 90s out there well be showing you that in the 4 zone forecast and then heres some of the hot spots there any aac concord 173 valais whole by comparison sake there definitely. The natural air conditioner him play again. We have a look at your 4 zone forecast little bit later on rob. All right sounds good. Thank you. Dave will happening tomorrow the Golden Gate Transit Agency will be making changes to its services so Ferry Service to and from San Francisco will continue to be limited and on weekdays only now bus services on routes to and from San Francisco will be cut in half. The Transit Agency says that this will allow more buses to routes that have seen an increase in ridership in the recent weeks, golden gate transit says ridership dropped by 90 one shelter orders hit back in march and are now at 75 . I mean he says it will take at least 6 months to restore most of its service me says one major reason is the need to limit bus capacity because of social distancing requirements. Another is a shortage of drivers which was a big problem even before the pandemic many Metro Service is scheduled to start up again in august. Well the giants roster is going to look a lot different this season as buster posey announced, hes opting out to sit out the 2020 season, all of this to protect the health of his twin daughters that he and his wife adopted this week. I just feel like in the current state and then we are right now. And these babies being is as fragile as they are for the next, you know 4 months and this ultimately wasnt that difficult a decision decision for me from a baseball standpoint, it was its up to city and from a seemingly standpoint in your own life. Im making the decisions protect. Our children i think it it was relatively easy. Buster posey of course one of the more Prominent Players to opt out of playing this season. His fans say theyre disappointed but they do support his decision. More power to him. You know, i mean hes putting is his family in his loved ones first and you know in this day and age. And any gain age, i mean thats really what you need to do what kind of care about these people as individuals and human beings, not just people that are out there to entertain us. Team president farhan zaidi and manager gabe kaplan both say that theyre a supporting poses decision and now theyre on to the tough task of figuring out whos going to replace him. Well still ahead this morning big changes coming to a sports and both at both Community Colleges and division one schools here in california and the bay area well find out how the Bay Area Schools will be affected. But first well take a live look outside very light traffic this Early Saturday Morning heading into new covergirl clean fresh skin milk a Vegan Foundation formulated without formaldehydes, phthalates, parabens, sulfates, and talc giving me a healthy natural look that says. This is me. Clean fresh skin milk from easy breezy beautiful covergirl welcome back everyone fall sports and Community Colleges in california will be delayed, but they will be allowed to begin in january mark demsky has the details. A whole drive all the way to the basket. It wasnt what they hoped for but thursdays approval by the 3 see 2 ways board of directors of a contingency plan does provide a return to Intercollegiate Athletics in january of 2021 rather than a cancellation of all fall sports. Its really good luck soon athletes the best opportunity to get back on the competition and thats what was most important to us for fall sports to have been played as scheduled at the Junior College level it was reliant on california being in phase 4 of its reopening by mid july, a likelihood that has diminished in recent weeks going to the spring long reports now that is a big change obviously and its going to put a a little bit about work on the schools in the spring to manage that many sports over the course of. You know for 5 months i think big picture of this is a victory for Community College sports. Because theyre going to have a season, joe davidson covers both the local high school and Community College sports scenes for the sec be. Not every athlete is a 5 star recruit and davidson believes its those athletes who will benefit the most from the decision hes a junior that safety net for night into the still maybe somebody whos a an academic missed it or social misfit or whatever so this this decision by state Community Colleges resonates all the way through high school i think its everybody pounds off the tackle its lows in for a touchdown teams could start practice in midjanuary and begin competition in february all 24 sports though at the community College Level well see a 30 reduction in their schedules. Something that can help offset budget restraints its going to challenge a lot of people i mean obviously theres gonna be some expenses that werent there last year. But theres going to be hopefully be some change that will save some money maybe in travel. So hopefully it will become more manageable we get through this and get back to what we were before or not to distant future a return to sports though in january at the Junior College level will only happen when its safe to do so a decision that will be guided primarily though. By state and local health guidelines. Im mark demsky. And the pac 12 says it will only play Conference Games for several sports in the fall following a similar move by the big 10 conference the pac 12 made the decision friday as covid19 cases continue to surge across the country. It said the health and safety of its student athletes is its number one priority. So men and women soccer and womens volleyball will be affected and several starting dates for those sports will be delayed. The football opener between a usc and alabama has been canceled as well as game between cal and tcu sanfords game against byu has also been canceled. And well have more scheduling details of that will be announced later on this month. Welcome back everyone President Trump says the reason for covid cases rising across the country is simple that there is more testing happening. But Health Experts say the reasons are different than that washington dc correspondent Alexandra Limon reports. Is everybody says we have so many cases. Thats because we test so many people the president s explanation for the growing number of covid19 cases is at odds with what Health Experts are saying like the director of the cdc we continue to need. More testing in this country to confront this outbreak and data shows that the problem isnt just that the total number of covid19 cases increase e but also that the percentage of people testing positive is growing to the Positivity Rate has skyrocketed in places like florida arizona and texas and Democratic Texas congressman Joaquin Castro says thats leading to another problem in san antonio for example we only have about 11 . We have a high park over generally speaking the 4 corner states will couple things are going on here first of all to help us really bacon the Central Valley were going to feel the far east bay. But theres a little bit of a flow pattern in Southern Arizona of coming in from its a monsoon type pattern that may produce some higher level Thunder Showers going on in some of the hills in the mountains, so they have an excessive heat warning going on for this patch of real estate in the deserts of the southwest, including the dozens of Southern California. But when you get a pattern like this sometimes you get some dry thunderstorms and they can spark off some fire. So they do still have some dry air around. And you get sometimes these lock the Thunder Showers like that high above and you can sometimes spark off some problems so even though they make it rain not a whole lot quantitatively that may spark off some light on the lookout for but back to where were talking about temperatures beyond 100 the Central Valley and of course in the desert as you can see the color is aisha near the purples pinks one 08 going on for fresno one or 2 sacramento, one 05 force for bakersfield me meanwhile along the Central Coast and the middle to upper 60s. Happening today as coronavirus cases surge in florida, one of that states top Tourist Attractions is back. Disney worlds reopening causing a lot of concern about the safety of visitors and workers there alike such an has more. A disney theme parks may be an escape to a fictional bubble, but no amount of pixie dust can wipe away thec realities of the pandemic it does feel thats a real its a whole new world of temperature checks party separated on rides touchless payments and entry and required face masks that must loop around human years. Theyre also far fewer people in the parks due to significantly reduce capacity and required advanced reservation for people wanting to going. As far as the winds will get a little bit of an onshore wind thats being driven locally because the heating happening inland, but it does provide a little shielding for us in terms of these lofty temperatures happening that would be a little higher if it wasnt for this element. And it does throw a little bit of moisture our way just enough to keep us out of the zone danger and also the winds wont be that active either this afternoon or repeat. Tomorrow again as we get that daytime heating lets go and check out humidity levels as we drop off today the really dry air is contained pretty much in the Sacramento Valley little bit but we drop off to the 20s in the 30s this afternoon which remember we have higher temperatures going on today so relative humidity level numbers would be normally lower said shows we have a decent amount of moisture in the air for a dry summer day. This is what happens by sunday morning the socalled recovery a little bit of green makes its way on the east bay shoreline in the peninsula but not much more typically the spills in the delta. Although somers will make it up to 100 today marty. All right dave thanks a lot of us go to the east bay this morning restaurants in Alameda County can no longer offer Outdoor Dining. Only drive through and pick up will be allowed. Kron fours reyna harvey live in Alameda County. She has all the details on this new health order. The morning the morning and im actually joined right now with a very special guest right now alameda mayor ashcroft. She took some time off of her saturday to come and give us these updates as they just came down last night. So mayor we know weve got these updates tell us a little bit about this new order what businesses need to know. Absolutely and you know this is an order that just came down late last night i was there heading to bed around 11 oclock at night and i always glance at the email on my for my city phone to see if theres anything i can know and just before 11 we got a notice from the county Public Health department telling us that the state has now rescinded the order that allowed restaurants to do Outdoor Dining just like that so starting today no more Outdoor Dining until further notice and again this is an order thats coming from the state. The state is working hard to lower alarmingly increasing covid19 numbers an Alameda County is one of those counties where we havent been able to get our numbers under control. So theyre just pulling back on some things we just recently started allowing our businesses to do. Now mayor you guys just started striking down the street over there on park street here in alameda. Now as for businesses to be able to do Outdoor Dining what does that mean for people now. Well, what it means is i think it was a brilliant strategy very well thought out and planned with our our City Engineer and our planning building and transportation departments working together. They knew from video cam that we had of the on the street that was just looking into the timing of signal lights that there wasnt enough traffic on the bill traffic that required 4 lanes of of traffic and that often times people drive faster. So the restraint being reduced our lanes to 2 and then allowed us to we strive as you noted to put up bollards and theyll be planned. Heres another dividers to give restaurants and businesses space to expand out to this space. I immediately adjacent to the curve now weve hit this little bump in the road and weve got to bring those tables and chairs back in from Outdoor Dining bad as soon as we get this number these covid numbers under control. The city of alameda will be ready for businesses to to open up again for Outdoor Dining so we did the work now. Well traffic is lighter and that crews could be out there in the street not disrupt to match and by the way we left all the best officer ac transit alone. They are right where they always have been and well continue to be but were ready and weve got the you know the outdoor expanded space as soon as we can open up fully again but i do want people to know i want you just work your local businesses. So restaurants are still open for takeout and delivery please do that support your local businesses on our retailers are open. I do believe you can still go into Retail Stores but you may limit the number of customers you can come in at a time. That yes we want want to be ready to continue and continue to support our local businesses. Air this morning i spoke to some businesses out here in alameda. A lot of them this hearten because they were getting ready and they said they had no idea we know this order came down late last night. So will they be getting in trouble if theyre still doing Outdoor Dining today, what is your message to them. No we are very careful to educate first and enforced only when the education efforts have not work in so they didnt get information any sooner than i did and probably for the most part it would recommend you dont check your phone before you go to bed, but i think i feel i have to but anyway today i know that our city a Public Information officer and Economic Development department have been in touch with chamber of commerce and other Business Associations to help them. I get the message out to their businesses i believe people will be going down the street talking to this is individually and i fully expect our businesses to comply just the way they have up until now i i am very proud of only to businesses and they really have done everything weve asked them to do and they have struggled greatly and in there employees have suffered as just as they have so we want to we want to support them in the best way i could just make a little plug to support your local businesses besides bringing them your business is do what im doing wear your mask or whenever you leave your house. You put your mask on over your nose and your mouth please it doesnt help to cover one but not the other because this is the way i protect you if i happen to have covid and i dont know about it because they dont have symptoms and when you do the same thing youre protecting me and anyone else. You come in contact with scientifically this is the most effective way we have reducing the spread of covid19. So help your business is help other people Hubbard County get back into the numbers. The low covid numbers so we can open up again. Lively now mayor ashcraft joining us this morning. Thank you so much for that now again this order is in place for right now still no word on when that order is going to be out of the fact but right now no Outdoor Dining businesses can still kick up and you can also have it delivered to you as well and again the message is just trying to keep everyone safe. Here you hear that coming straight from city officials marty. All right reena thanks a lot for that report and that live interview with the mayor. Following a number of hate crimes a large protest is planned in martinez this weekend. No delays at all blue skies all over the place temperatures now were in the lower 70s in the far east bay elsewhere got the 60s going on, but in most cases, hes our head of what we were this time from yesterday got the green still hanging on around the perimeter of the base 69 meanwhile for san jose. So whats going on obviously none of those uh High Pressure anchored kind of in the 4 corner states though that provides a little bit of the western monsoon for places like Southern Arizona, not to be very potent there are gonna get a lot quantitatively with this simple thing to watch out for flash flooding. But because these will be Thunder Showers. They have the possibility some time to these high level and theyll be occurring in the mountains. These high level Thunder Showers that are somewhat dry they can spark off potentially some fires. What we deal with in the back side of all of this is that moisture doesnt make it up here. So were dealing with the hot temperatures Central Valley going to be bacon going on today as well as the Southern California deserts, but even portions of the bay area today for highs one 08 for fresno one of 6 bakersfield, one 02, 1, on for sacramento. Donna Southern California along the coast, least 87 san diego great beach day 78 for l a x and 68. For San Francisco. Now the numbers on balance or not too for San Francisco for example, 68 and at the coast were looking at mid 60s with all of that sure bay side of the peninsula northern in 60s and 70s mixture, but its to the south it starts to really pick up weve got the middle to upper 80s down south near palo alto to 87 85 for redwood city 81 from mountain view. Then you get to the south bay, upper 80s, but morgan hill pops at 98. So suze you really start getting inland. Those numbers really start racing 89 for milpitas east bay shoreline lower 80s going on for the southern end meanwhile tri valley mid to upper 90s it looks like for highs today, 97 for walnut creek 104 conquered, and the east bay shoreline to the north we start to drop off if you will to 7074 for berkeley, richmond at 76 and jumping up here the north bay 96 for fairfield 99 for back at all 73 for vallejo natural air conditioning effect 87 for napa and 94 for santa rosa would 80s heading down south. Now in our 7 day forecast, theres a slight change tomorrow will probably seen the numbers not as lofty and thus far east bay reaches and then dropping majorly down to the lower 90s as we head on to the ballot next week marty all right dave thanks a lot. Gloria developing news out of San Francisco this morning an Investigation Underway following this Apartment Fire that happened friday evening in pacific heights. You can really see the flames going there. It was at washington street and franklin, 4 buildings were affected, but fortunately, no injuries reported. Firefighters expect to have it fully contained by thursday all evacuation orders have been lifted now on the road closures removed as well the cause of the fire still under investigation this morning. This coronavirus cases surge in Florida Disney world will reopen today, its causing a lot of concern about the safety of visitors and workers there. Cnns brian todd has that story. The magic is back. For better or worse. We look forward to seeing you soon at Walt Disney World resort disney world in orlando is reopening its theme parks to the public this weekend after opening them just to annual pass holders earlier this week. One guest said he loves at that the crowds are smaller so far. So its its a different feel if you definitely are see airports around. I was not than the traditional way on its website disney says its quote re imagine the disney experience so we can all enjoy the magic responsibly but already medical experts are warning the disney world reopening in the middle of a state thats now one of the worst epicenters of coronavirus is inviting catastrophe who doesnt want to be at the happiest place on earth. At a time were all stressed out in could use some fun. The problem is. Disney world is going to be the happiest place on earth for the coronavirus on its website and promotional videos disney is hammering home all the steps its taking to ensure the safety of guests and employees who it calls cast members prior to entering guests will undergo a temperature screening, no touch thermometers and disney says it wont admit anyone with a temperature of 100. 4 degrees fahrenheit or above disney is reducing capacity, letting fewer people into the parks. Its enforcing physical distancing on rides in lines and dining areas. Hand sanitizer and washing stations are everywhere surfaces in the parks and hotels will be constantly disinfected and everyone above the age of 2 has to wear a face mask. The head of the Union Representing 43,000 disney employees says disney has to get this right in ensuring the safety of workers we expected disney will continue to take the recommendations of the cdc, the recommendations of local ordinances and matt hollis believes disney has done that so far. But another Union Representing disney performers says this does not properly testing their performers calls it shameful. Disney says that Union Rejected its safety protocols and broke off negotiations. Experts say disney is counting on guest to be disciplined with maskwearing and distancing never a certainty and there are other worries. Its not clear to me that in all of these inside rides that theyve taken the measures for ventilation and air filtration that are needed to keep these indoor spaces safe when you have these indoor spaces you have a lot of people in a given on a given right you have people screaming on that ride, its just a recipe for disaster. And medical experts dont believe a tactic that park owners in japan or using would work at disney world. The wall street journal reports park executives in japan are asking customers not to scream out loud on rides for fear of transmitting droplets but to quote scream inside your heart. How do you do that. No screaming on the right so its crazy that was brian todd reporting. Theres also concern about public Health Officials that theme parks like disney world could become a seed for outbreaks and other places epidemiologists are concerned that tourists could contract covid19 there and just spread the virus.
