Now with these openings some adjustments have to be made as businesses just cant get back to usual. It cannot be for people. Theyre going to have to reduce the number of customers the coming to their establishment. So theyre also going after a choir. Face coverings for people that come in. Theyre also not to do temperature checks for employees so that will be interesting to see how they facilitate having people that work there have their temperatures checked. Now i spoke to some people that are out already this morning, heres what they had to say about things starting to reopen out here in sonoma. I think people are really. Youre trying to get out there and come back we live in a Small Town Community and with that we have many you know just small shops an and hair salons and search an and i think people overall are. Ready to experience can back into the next and its recent order follows the updated parks order that was issued earlier this week that allowed Sonoma County residents to drive to coastal beaches. Now right like you mentioned i talked to a number of people throughout the bay area from county to county as soon as these businesses start to open a you see people just a shift in there like this position a lot of people have 4 very upset, but as a fog and now shes happy relieved a lot of people saying that theyve been trying to cut their all in here i was out in Alameda County yesterday and i saw people were doing here cuts out by lake merritt people getting very over these past couple of months, but for now reporting on here in petaluma reyna harvey kron 4 news as we were joking and saying the struggle is real sometimes those tutorials on youtube dont always work out. Com welcome back everyone that ive 7. 14 good morning and thanks for waking up with us its time to check in with dave spahr get a look at the bob is driving across the bay bridge. I notice activated the high wind advisory signs the bay bridge the golden gate the benicia bridge. Those trees are miller really moving around. Yeah and youre getting a head when 2 coming out to the west of course because its being an onshore wind and looks like its going to be windy not just today, but also tomorrow quite breezy as well feeling more like a fall like day really been springer certainly like june after the heat spikes we had in theyre going to warm by the middle of the week that youll see in the 7 day as well so has a look up today right now we have that marine layer to kind of take but after that peels off its up to the races and mostly sunny skies. Temperatures thus far were in the upper 50s over most of the districts 60 going on for kind of exception there but lower 50s up to the north bay and upper 50s to the south bay kind of expected with the this wind in place that keeps a lot of uniformity mixes things up quite a bit so you dont have quite the differentiation with the heat and the temperatures that you would if you had clear skies and not much the way of winds so some last scattered clouds to make note of our forecast models tell us that we might have some scattered clouds this afternoon but mostly sunny will work to keep those inland areas, lets get to that part here in future cast for it looks pretty good today just noting a few little scattered clouds here and there looks like a little threat of some coastal sprinkles maybe perhaps overnight into sunday morning, a touch but then again going back to the mostly sunny mode for the balance of the days the weekend looks okay sky wise but whats going to affect most people what robin was talking about will be those winds. This is what were going to have of the afternoon and again you can see its an onshore wind so therefore getting to the east bay its going to be getting a nice tailwind but if youre coming out to the west of the peninsula, San Francisco or elsewhere what youre going to face a bit of a head with again a onshore wind in place of the west winds, mostly in the 20s got some upper teens and thats enough for that wind advisory for Solano County and off to the delta in optics a little bit tomorrow to this is out to 6 oclock you can see tomorrow and there you have it a northwest wind will define as being on shore but will be shifted little bit towards the northwest. No statements on this yet, but again solano counties in the statement for today, well see if anything pops though tomorrow let you know about that looks like Something Interesting for your back to work on monday. After those inland areas there in the east bay looks like bit of a wind also building as well kind of put it all to rest. So scattered clouds today, mild windy to breezy. Tomorrow its a few clouds still breezy and still sub 80 happening at we get a little break from the heat this weekend the next week warming quickly near mid 90s by wednesday, and its just going to tap it. And then drop back again for weeks and as we head into the next weekend again dropping off. So for today, well call it 64 San Francisco keep some scattered clouds in there when the 68 for oakland, mostly sunny and for san jose, looking nice as good as well at 71 just a check across the greater region here will get some middle place look at the color is a shunt mostly green on the board here and some yellows but the reds are taking the weekend off theyre going to be back though here were going to check that out in the extended forecast. And look at your 4 zone as well marty affecting all right. Dave, thanks a lot, lets go to the south bay this Morning Police arrested a man in connection with a fatal hit and run collision in san jose. San jose police arresting 27 yearold antonio galanos. The fatal hit and run happened along the guadalupe park, a river trail on thursday investigators say they believe belong to us was riding his bike northbound when he crossed over the center line and into the path of 2 cyclists or coming the other way 61 yearold tom foster of san jose was killed in that bicycle collision. Good morning welcome back so youre waking up and youre thinking this is supposed to be june it feeling like november, how chilly and windy a for the bay area but look at this shot here from the Golden Gate Bridge looking pretty nice this morning, plenty of sunshine days far as here to sort all of this out for us because weve got a little bit of everything dave. I tell you what about my pumpkin so there we go i think we actually see that shot that you had there looks like some clearing trying to happen the golden gate a little bit going on but still have some work to be done. Those still be some scattered clouds and parts of our viewing area going on for today. But the thing that everybody is going to notice is going to be that strong on shore when theyre going to have just about all of the region show you that just a second first of all first things first a shot from u c berkeley kind of that hazy sunshine making it through some of the leftover marine layer sfo, no delays happening this morning, although with the winds may pose some minor problems there still something that keep in mind a little bit for today. So the current winds right now the snapshot we have we have them in the teens you can see right across the golden gate off to oakland in the delta as you can see its extends out that direction the corridor is all open up for their thats why Solano County is looking at a wind advisory that i thought sought doesnt kick in until 5 oclock even though all day today youll notice the winds working temperatures with all of this pretty much the upper 50s we have some lower 50s up there in the north bay but upper 50s do it for most of the region 60 coming at this hour for any aac across the state look at Central Valley border, they plummet from numbers in the 80s yesterday were at 79 for fresno and bakersfield sacramento, Central Coast lower to middle 60s and out of socal, upper 60s highs for today or i want to jump real quick to what whats going on the gulf of mexico. I talked about this yesterday. It is a Tropical Storm. Yes cristobal. Delivering of rain is expected for the eastern edge of the gulf of mexico. The issue is with this is it looks to be bearing down on a louisiana hits striking at you with this timing maybe perhaps by tomorrow afternoon, our time or maybe late morning near new orleans now they do have a state of emergency thats been posted going on here because of this system theyre expecting it never looks to be gaining hurricane strength though. So back in the home front here are winds. Speaking of whens going on this afternoon today at 5. 30 were going to be in the wind advisory so on i know Solano County fairfield going there to 18 its in the wind advisory and points east off to the Sacramento Valley. The east bay counties theyre not technically ended its going to be plenty when the all this afternoon so take care with all of that and the peninsula to so we those a little bit of it and then it picks back up again tomorrow afternoon evening again. This time it will be out of the northwest. We may have some statements that will pop tomorrow, but i think theyre just waiting to get through today first to see what we got and then monday morning your commute back to work those heading back in looks like theres some winds to deal with as well and the far east bay locations so 4 zone forecast today, 64 for San Francisco, daly city 6359 pacifica with Half Moon Bay at 64 got the mid 60s here for the northern end of the peninsula down to the south them around 70 or so upper 60s at that and it doesnt get much warmer down here. The south bay, 71 the popular number 75 morgan hill just wants to be different east bay shoreline to the south its upper 60s, 71 Livermore Tri valley it 70 with pleasanton dont forget onshore. Winds controlling temperatures. Got a little bit more heating going on here for walnut creek in concord middle 70s there berkeley at 66 richmond, 70 up to the north bay valais ho while 61, 74 for a sonoma 73 for napa and 74 for santa rosa with the beaches quite chilly today, 62 point re but 54 stenson beach in your 70 forecast its june again, it looks like by the middle of the week tuesday and wednesday get in there to the lower to middle 90s and then we drop back off again thursday and friday windy. At 76, it looks to be rainfree as we drop back in the flavor of well spring or fall or some other season or something thrown in there robin back to you. We are listening. I am listening. And i will be reaching out to players. We have raised their voices and others on how we can improve and go forward were better and more united nfl team. Thats an nfl commissioner Roger Goodell apologizing and admitting the nfl was wrong and taking a stand against previous players protest. Its a dramatic reversal in the leagues stance, plenty of nfl players and coaches have weighed in on the black lives Matter Movement and protests, but the real catalyst for the nfl statement was a video released by prominent nfl players thursday night. According to the Golden Gate Bridge highway and transportation district that march is set for noon. Meantime demonstrations were peaceful across the state and here in the bay area as well on friday. Take a look at the scene friday evening in san jose front of city hall, many demonstrators gathered outside of city hall the few peacefully protest and demand justice for george floyd demonstrators were still there late last night so the police were called in to disperse the crowd. They did so without any serious incidents. And thus take a look at the scene in alameda where dozens of protesters were kneeling before they started marching some of them followed along in their cars as well demonstrators held a black lives matter matter banner and others were seen carrying signs supporting the movement. They also chanted the names of george floyd and Brianna Taylor as they marched. And hundreds of people marched in pleasanton friday afternoon many of them carrying black lives matter signs. We are looking some clearing skies at work here about the shot coming in that were on that kind of a front come through not much moisture with out. But its up by the winds only other with us all day and really all weekend and take a look at that sued the good morning welcome back we want to go ahead and get a check of the forecast because of a chilly here this morning. Then it has been in the past couple mornings and the days forced to tell us all about it heidi. A good morning marty good morning everybodyim quite a change youre right a over the system is that this has really lived up to spring the last couple of weeks here mark twain said so many going to change your wardrobe all the time we had to things are going to be radically different for this weekend compared to what we saw just this last week feeling almost like more like fall we had kind of a an eventful system have passed on by the one thing that you always get what these frontal systems is wins and that were getting but still some moisture left in what was some of that theres the marine layer thats left over some clouds you can see off towards the distance with the Golden Gate Bridge as well temperatures for us were already graduated to about 60 for good chunk of the east bay, 63 antioch elsewhere, its upper to middle 50s at this hour, 60 also san jose. There you can see it on the satellite has given its to whatever were throwing in a few little clouds in the afternoon forecast in some locations just to kind of say make note of it but thats about it basically mostly sunny for much of the bay area, however thats very deceiving because you see all that thinking almost be really ormond were used to audits been short sleeve shirts and such no its going to be but on the cooler side today future cast for to make note of all of that ok some passing clouds whatever. And tomorrow morning might have a little couple stray sprinkles at the coast, potentially thats again. The marine layer this at work all the real stuff is up to the north. All right so lets get this business about the future cast when show us the winds picking up this afternoon and this evening at 6. 30 we freeze and here to give you a general idea across the bay whos covered and how not as apparent in the south bay by comparison sake. But certainly the peninsula north bay in the east bay Solano County is the only area in our viewing area. Only county in our viewing area. Thats technically in that wind advisory but you can see it takes a lot of real estate up with all of this so just a good rule of thumb for everybody expect winds this evening in your travels and then into sunday evening, it looks like theres a repeat performance. Well see when we get a little closer any statements pop because of this its more of a northwesterly direction you can see and one more point of note. Looks like a little bit of when building for the inland areas by your monday morning perhaps off to work there that looks to be more short lived so scattered clouds today, mild windy and breezy. Tomorrow, its a few clouds breezy still to windy and were still sub 80 dont worry. Theyre coming back in the 7 day. Next week warming quickly in near mid 90s by wednesday were going to be marching upward again and get a feel more like june in just a couple of days, 64 San Francisco, 68 for open 71 san jose, again notice more mostly sunny across most of the real estate, San Francisco keep its coastal clouds there. For highs today across the greater region. Yellows are pretty much being encroached on by the green snapping back here so weve got a lot of 70s on the board here some upper 60s along the east bay shoreline feeling a bit cooler than what weve experienced and that will be around with us tomorrow as well well take a look at 4 zone forecast for you coming up in just a bit as well as that extended. Right right and im trying to keep your saints if you have a briefcase or purse dont put them on the floor just keep them on your good point ok weve heard Public Transportation and all the all the things that theyve been doing to try and. Sanitize the trains and the buses, but still thats going to be the riskiest way to get to work isnt it. Yes that its like a petri dishes of pathogens, yeah, its just impossible to to keep it clean all day long and theres so many people using it. I would say number one if you do have to use Public Transportation is to stand versus really try not carry carry your Hand Sanitizer and their whites. I also suggest getting a strap that you can strap on and hold on to so that youre not holding on to the pole or or anything else to allegedly have seen her. Excuse me ive seen where bart is selling straps that they can that you could use presumably not only on the trains but any for mass transit. Great yes, thats thats great i didnt know that all right so we make we make it through the commute we get to work. We caught up to the front door and at the open the door the front door youre building. Yes, youre going to have to you know if its if its automatic you know youre yeah assets if you have a key you know youre just going to have to consider everything at the office has contaminated a good point that is just just take that into kids everything from the door to the cop here to the printer your work space so you really need to clean that. Oh yeah and then just getting up to your office yeah theres you well if you can take the stairs versus the elevator elevator or like you think of an elevator is being a closed enclosed space with not a lot of ventilation going through there and pretty much no distancing at all. Very much yeah so and try not you had a great idea about pushing the buttons with a at its in your hand. Make sure everyone is wearing a mask or just dont go in there. I also suggest turning around and facing the wall instead of you might be little crude, but just youre not getting any direct ghetto. Particulates so and it weighed last is too. So if the elevator door opens and the only spot is in the middle you would suggest that maybe i wait for the next car. Yes, right and also you know be really careful because you dont know who was in there before copying and didnt have a mask on. So yeah we be extra careful and extra wary. When it comes to those elevators lets move to restaurants because thats a big one in the bay areas more and more counties are beginning to loosen the restrictions what are some tips that you have for going out to a restaurant. Well definitely try not to stand in line, you know be where a lot of people are congregating if youre waiting in line shot are waiting for a table. The a distance yourself from the others dont congregate around the keep your hands super clean because this is where its where the riskiest part of eating out comes in is that youre touching something thats potentially contaminated and then putting it to your mouse, yeah, so have that hand senators highs are right there at the table try not to touch high touched up. Items like the salt pepper okay, even pens and the the leather leather a holder that all right. Yeah told us yet we dont know where thats care and so even if there was money in it thats even worse yeah, definitely so weve eaten were feeling pretty good. We want to go shopping that take us to a retail store now. A retail store so the stores if this the whole experience, especially for clothes, shopping its going to be completely different because you when you close shop for clothes, you used to touching the fab or exit and and and trying on the clothes. A lot of the Department Stores are either closing off their up their sitting rooms or just leaving a few open. Youre not going to really be able to try on clothes like you used to, but they did a survey last month and they found that 65 of women and 54 of men, were not comfortable trying on clothes in the dressing room and so and then of those of those half of them were millennials and then over 70 were baby boomers so these are the people that actually like to shop in baba and those are the ones theyre most afraid to try and close. Okay lets lets this kind of surprising and i understand a certain stores are going to be doing some. Sanitary sanitizing to to try and help us feel better when we go and shop for clothes such as keeping things keeping close have been tried on maybe away from from the marketplace for 24 hours before putting them back on the shelves. Lets lets talk about the hair salons and barbershops because thats a big one. Yes, a big one im waiting for mind. Well yeah. They are they are they have a lot of guidelines. Theyre really changing the way they are operating like theyre not going to let all these stylists in at the same time just like some of the offices maybe have to stagger and and have shifts so that not everybody is in there at the same time is going to cut back on the amount of people in the salon is going to be harder to get an appointment. But a lot of things are disposable definitely masks on the client and the stylist and drapery drapes. Okay. Karen writes weve made it through the day and weve done it safely. Do we have time for one more floor, im sorry but were over time now so up to heres what we want everyone to do. Count all the hugs you havent given. All the hands you havent held. All the dinners you didnt share with friends. The trips you havent taken. Keep track of them. Each one means one less person vulnerable, one less person exposed, and one step closer to a healthier community. So for now, keep your distance. But dont lose count. Businesses including restaurants and hair salons are allowed to reopen kron fours reyna harvey loud live this morning in downtown petaluma where some folks are very happy you got some activity in the hair salon behind you. Marty theres certainly a lot of activity like you boulevard barber here just opened their doors and you should see the line of people. I just spoke to the owners he just walked in her name is sarah. She wants to thank the community for coming out and supporting in this morning. So basically you see theyre getting haircuts and theyre the barbers they have mask on along with the people that sierra waving to you guys the owner of the shop. Now also what theyre doing. You see some social distancing going on outside. These are people that are waiting to get their hair cut so theyre going to be sitting here in these chairs that you see they also have massed so everyone is being protected this morning but. These are not the only establishments that are going to be open take a look at your screen. I want you to see who else can open out here in Sonoma County this morning. We know that in person Faith Based Services can resume today. Along with indoor Retail Shopping and dining hair salons you already saw the barber shops opening up Outdoor Recreation businesses in those activities can resume along with Equipment Rental now theyre going to be a few adjustments you just saw a few of the adjustments that are happening at the barbershop people wearing mask staying outside to be in line their haircuts this morning. Also they have to reduce the number of customers that are inside of businesses this morning along with requiring those face masks and a lot of these establishments are going to be requiring temperature checks for their customers. I got a chance to speak to a gentleman who was getting his hair cut for the first time in months take a house the response everything. Little things in thank you take for granted, you know every 2, 3 weeks i dont get now top of my barber and part of life and then all of a sudden a lot of them. And nothing to complain about your world class yes this to be able to continue going on now this recent order follows the updated parks order issued earlier this week that allow those in Sonoma County to drive to coastal beaches. Now this establishment boulevard barbara, the owner just told me theyre actually going to be open 7 days out of the we just to catch up on that backlog and theyre going to closing their doors today around 4 and the consensus from everybody that ive been able to talk to out here marty theyre excited. The gentleman who i interviewed he said you dont realize how much you take for granted until you cant do it every day. So again a lot of people already showing up like i mentioned doors open here you can see the line is a starting to get a little longer but everybodys wearing mask, social distancing and just getting ready for a busy workday and im sure a lot of businesses out here Sonoma County feel the same way marty. Reyna you hit it right on the head the things that we used to take for granted like going to get a haircut getting your hair done all of a sudden take on much greater meaning that doesnt it. Absolutely you know for me marty i know you can probably attest, its been a long time since weve been able to frequent a lot of these establishments i had actually just learn how to do things for myself at home but people excited to come down and you know its more than just a haircut right. You get to talk to your barber you get to talk to your beautician so a lot of catching up going on marty uh yeah and even more than that is just a sense of normalcy thats returning to our neighborhood. Thank you thanks a lot lorraine a. Meantime demonstrations were peaceful across the state and in the bay area friday, this was the scene friday evening in san jose. Hundreds of demonstrators gathering outside of city hall to peacefully protest and demand justice for george floyd demonstrators were still outside of city hall late last night so the police were called in to the scene to disperse the crowd and they did so without any serious incidents. Take a look at the scene in alameda yesterday as dozens of protesters were kneeling just before they started marching. Some of them followed along in their cars. Demonstrators held up a black lives matter banner and others were seen carrying signs there of supporting the movement they also chanted the names of george floyd. And Brianna Taylor as they marched. Washington Congressional Democrats say they wont make it easier for victims of Police Brutality to sue. Welcome back everyone lawmakers say they want to make it easier for victims of Police Brutality to sue Law Enforcement but they say one Supreme Court doctrine stands in the way. Democrats are calling to eliminate whats known as qualified immunity, its a rule that currently shields Police Officers from lawsuits. Our washington dc correspondent Raquel Martin has more on that. We need to hold Law Enforcement accountable in the wake of George Floyds death a democratic congressman lacy clay in a growing number of democrats are calling for an end to the legal doctrine they say contributes to Police Brutality qualified immunity needs to be. Eliminated in 2014 clay louis with district with the epicenter of protests after Police KilledMichael Brown clay says the qualified immunity doctrine established by the Supreme Court in the 1960s shield bad cops from lawsuits and prevents justice you should not have some kind of blanket immunity. To commit crimes against other to even commit murder right now Congressional Democrats are pushing legislation to end a qualified immunity for Law Enforcement officers so far no republicans have signed on republican senator and former Missouri Attorney general josh hawley says he plans to review the bill the devils in the details. Id like to see exactly what theyre proposing to do but ultimately the fate of the rule may be up to the court all of those legal doctrines or a balance law professor paul ship berman says qualified immunity is intended to protect officials from frivolous lawsuits but the Supreme Court could decide to narrow its scope right now its being used in a way that provides essentially absolute immunity the Supreme Court could decide to take up the issue as early as next week. A good morning. Marty good morning, everybody but your summer gear keep it handy because you need it later this week up, but its inconsistent springlike weather at hand again we have a little front or back yard not producing much the way ready rain or really much the way of cloud cover. But you always get winds with that we have us Different Air mass thats in place for us a pretty much for this weekend. Heres a live shot cnming in from temper on we can see the golden gate off to the distance and some of those scattered clouds kind of lingering around a little bit. Temperatures for you in the 60s across a good chunk of the bay weve got 50s in the peninsula. And 63 for san jose meanwhile. So for the flow pattern you can see good on shore winds is what we got going on here upstream maybe some few scattered clouds to make note of that on balance well call kind of mostly sunny across most of the district today just give it a run here as you can see what we expected today and into the overnight maybe some scattered clouds up in the north a little sprinkle along the coast or so forth. But again going back to mostly sunny is what it looks like 4. The period for this weekend. All right now the important thing is those winds now this is what we see happening today now we do have that wind advisory going on for a portion of Solano County the northern portion is actually not in it. Not elsewhere throughout the day but look at the Coverage Area everybody in the bay is pretty much affected by all of it so even though youre not in the wind advisory plan accordingly with it really picking up. This afternoon and particularly this evening. Late overnight it kind of subsides a little bit tomorrow morning. Then fires back up again tomorrow afternoon and again tomorrow evening. And another little wave again most noticeable in those inland areas for the early morning. Risers and looks like it dissipates later in the morning on your monday, so the winds will keep temperatures down a little bit today, scattered clouds coupled with that mild. Then tomorrow a few clouds breezy still or sub 80 even inland. The next week warming quickly and my child or excuse me near midday 90s going on these temperatures are throwing me here. Wednesday, we expect and that will be just a oneday tap because were going back again through the remainder of the week it looks like. Todays high 64 San Francisco, some of those coastal clouds are for you. For oakland 68 mostly sunny and windy in san jose expect mostly sunny breezy to windy. Again that high of 71 across the greater region, willie scrounge up temperatures getting to the middle 70s at that there you see the yellows off to the far east but elsewhere, its green across most of the bay areas we have kind of like feel of excuse me autumn like weather going on for you this weekend. Coming up a little bit well take a look at the 4 zone forecast to be a better inspection of what your neighbors are going. And that extended forecast just in case, you missed those heat spikes in the summer like weather weve got at their back to you. Activists taylor seems organize the march and rally some. A moment of silence shared outside city hall when protesters approached the building they called for police reform. Theyre asking the city council to take action. Simmons says the city should rethink the amount of money it uses to fund at 30 million budget or a piece of our budget with a 61 when we feel like the School Board Just have to do a 6 million cut so we just feel like we can reallocate those funds from our police to other programs the demonstrations started at the marina where pastors spoke in support of the protests stand in agreement with you we stand in solidarity with you got to unite weve got to stand up for each other we have to speak up we cant just allow things to keep going on if not under eu stands no chance hopefully by by these protests Police Officer would understand that. I live at or just as well that has everybody in addition to marching to city hall protesters peacefully walked the streets blocking major intersections at times to prove their point police mainly kept their distance only facilitating traffic inspiration to the tribute to Brianna Taylor, another victim of Police Violence earlier this year. Taylor would have turned 27 years old on this day. And really all kron 4 news.
