Many people are seeing that people are pretty die and especially the black and brown communities they hit harder by this Global Pandemic and so in the midst of this theres this feeling of like we cant even get a break from racism in the middle of a Global Pandemic i think it you can separate this from the from the pandemic. Come out im curious about your thoughts about the white interaction in all of this said and it goes both ways as you know. There are a lot of white people participating in this protest. Lot of white people being blamed for some of the violence and the looting. A lot of white people supporting the cause a lot of white people may be some skeptics and certainly there are still races out there as we all know, im just wondering from your perspective. What can a white person do for you in this cause that you think is positive that can make a difference. I first thing they need to start thinking about theyre doing it for themselves structural and institutional racism hurts all of us is hurt black people the hardest hits us. The hardest. So i think they need to stop thinking about doing something for the black community and actually only a more equitable and just society a more a society where everyone has access to education and health care and the criminal Justice System is is it is as equity and it is better for all of us anyway but to stop getting caught up in what can i do for black people or to help them it at the i would say is that we also have to in the bay area theres a long history of protesting, we know not every white person so to the protests in the same way we can all recognize those people when they show up we had protests in Downtown Berkeley a few years ago and there are white people stopping the black bloc anarchists from breaking into the trader joes so i think if you really want if you can get out there if you thought youd be safe out there which i think thats key again when the move a Global Pandemic then get out there and use your whiteness to stop these other white peoples user white is between those white people and the damage they do. As you know the 1968 Poor Peoples Campaign by doctor king was a very diverse movement. It was designed to try and organize people who are poor against the structure that was hurting them all not just one race. These demonstrations are diverse as can was alluding to what do you make of that that there is so much a diversity involved in the protests were seeing all across the country and in towns where we dont usually see this kind of protest. You know i again we come to the bay area this is not new to us the black panthers working with lots of other multiracial groups in their in their act of trying to bring justice to the black community. This is what we do were used to the fact that we know it takes more than just one of us and all the help we can get its all hands on deck situation but across the country. From San Francisco to mexico. Wong died a month later at a california hospital after testing testing positive for coronavirus his family says the cruise line and its Parent Company should have known that a passenger on the ships previous voyage had coronavirus long strip on the grand princess docked at the port of oakland back on march 9th.
