A young boy is dead after a playground accident at a private school in san rafael. james the school says classes will be in session this morning. The accident happened yesterday on the playground at Mark Day School on trellis drive. The school says other students and staff witnessed the accident and tried to provide aid for the young boy. He died at a hospital. The school is working with police to investigate what happened. And the section of campus where the accident happened has been closed off. Mark day school released this statement saying. The death of someone so young is devastating for all of us, and even more so under these circumstances and at this time of year, when we are surrounded by celebrations while we mourn. All of us at Mark Day School express our deepest sympathies to his family, classmates and friends. There will be counselors on campus today for students who need support. In the east bay. Concord police are removing big rvs that are illegally taking up space for days, weeks and even months. Cell phone video shows a man appearing to be upset as police were standing by while his rv was being towed. It was one of two large rvs that were removed from flamingo drive yesterday. This video shows the robber holding a pistol in one hand. Then pepper spraying the clerk. This happened at the fast and easy mart gas station in benicia. Police say the man in the video pretended to be a customer before attacking. james police have released this video showing the thief leaving the scene in a white jeep cherokee. The owner of the gas station says this type of incident is rare. In fact this is the only time he has been robbed this year. james all three people accused in the death of a bay area father will be walking free by mid january. Kaveh bayet walked out of the San Mateo County jail a free man thursday after prosecutors decided not to retry him for the murder of keith green. Prosecutors had accused bayet of actually shooting and killing green in april of 2016. Greens ex girlfriend. Tiffany lee was acquited of the murder earlier this year. Kron 4s michelle kingston went to Monte Vista High School in danville to find out whats being done about it. james school will be back to normal today at San FranciscoState University after a bomb threat closed part of teh university yesterday. No bomb was found. But the threat affected several buildings on campus and postponed all finals that were scheduled for yesterday. Those finals will be rescheduled. San Francisco Police is assisting University Police with the investigation. james in the east bay four people are in custody in connection to a robbery that led to a police chase on interstate 880. Police found these power tools in the suspects car. They were stolen from Lowes Home Improvement store in fremont. Police tried to pull over the thieves on interstate 880. Just south of the marina exit in san leandro. But they kept driving. The chp and Oakland Police got involved in the chase.
