How about adding a softball record to your resume, Ms. Kreitler?
That’s exactly what Brittney did on Friday — belting her 16th double of the season in a 12-2 five-inning victory over Grandview at Leon’s Field.
“Brittney is a special player,” Ste. Genevieve coach Russell Toombs said of the Mineral Area College pledge. “She works really hard to be on top of her game.”
What’s more, Toombs decided to give Kreitler the starting nod inside the circle. She didn’t disappoint there, either.
Kreitler allowed two runs (only one earned) on two hits with one walk and one strikeout over five innings. Thirty-seven of Brittney’s 54 pitches were strikes — or nearly 69 percent.
