Im going to walk across the seawall here to show you what the great concern is heading into tonight for this great big metropolitan area, and that is the water that is starting to jump up, leap up from the bay, over the seawall, and onto paved areas. There is a High Tide that will happen tonight, and the combination of that and the projected 58 feet of Storm Surge here means that the water will come up probably over the tops of these tables and around the area where we are standing right now. Already we can tell you that officials, due to high winds and Storm Surge, have had to shut down several major roadways and the bridges that connect much of this area to the mainland. That means that anyone who did not evacuate from mandatory evacuation zones along the coast, well, likely their options are being limited tonight, or they are running out of options completely, so they will have to hunker down in their homes as they deal with the Storm Surge that is expected here. One more staggering statistic that i want to leave you with is that in an area 80 miles north of here known as crystal river, forecasters say there could be up to 15 feet of Storm Surge, and that is something they consider to be unsurvivable.
