During his short and first ever trip to the bay area he checked out landmarks in San Francisco before things took a dark turn in his homeland. I met the Israeli Exchange student and peace activist a week ago. He is jewish, he joined the proisrael rally at city hall. Where do you get your strength from . It comes from my family, in my friends. His friends have returned home from abroad to join the fight. Israel has called up more than 360,000 reservists to active duty after the hamas attack. Of course i would rather keep on my life and i dont want to be stretched mentally, i dont want to be hurt physically but it is not just about me it is about the future of my people. Crossing the street with her family near Parkview Elementary school. She was a very sweet and innocent little girl who loved playing soccer. She would always carry a small little bible with her. She cared a lot of gospel music. Reporter she died in 2013. Her sister who was two at the time was injured. They think about her every day. We are just so glad that the life of my daughter was not just a number out there. It is going to, that cause is going to help save lives. It means the world to us. Reporter Governor Newsom signed a bill into law allowing speed cameras in the state in 2025. San francisco, san jose, oakland, three other cities in Southern California will be able to pilot speed camera programs. 33 cameras will be placed in San Francisco and streets with highest crash rates as well as school zones, fines imposed on drivers exceeding the speed limit. There could be fee reductions based on those that qualify for financial need among those, walk San Francisco, families, city leaders including the mayor. To see these families here, the reason why we know they pushed so hard for this because they did not want anybodyes to experience what they have gone through. We are so excited to begin the process of implementation. Reporter they are hoping this helps families because they know what it is like to lose a child. Heading through the weekend, about a 20 degree drop thursday afternoon, the temperature drop is not done. We are going to spend a few days in the 60s inland by tuesday, wednesday, thursday. That cool down will be with a descent chance of light rain showers. Over the next several days, certainly not going to have a hint of moisture while the heat is here. Once we cool down, just outside 1020 chance of maybe a little drizzle heading into the beginning of next week. The weekend really, saturday night into sunday. Right now, fog starting to spread out as we look out from the hotel. Temperatures in the 60s across the board. Some spots staying in the 60s overnight tonight. Overnight lows, middle to upper 50s and 60s. The fog will continue to spread out as we head through the rest of the night. Locally dense fog, widespread to begin the day on tuesday. It will back up out of the inland valleys quickly. Full sunshine, fog retrieving to the coast before lunchtime. Here is a look at the forecast low temperatures for tonight. A little above average, middle to upper 50s and 60s. Higher jumping off point. The temperatures to take off once the fog dissipates. Look at our highs for tomorrow. It will be well above average inland. Nowhere near the peak of where it will settle in. Mostly in the middle portion of the 80s, inland in the east bay, hitting the 80s in redwood city. 82 degrees for the high there. San francisco, oakland, a degree or two above normal. Inland temperatures are going to be about 58 degrees above average tomorrow. That includes the north bay. The temperatures will reach up into the lower to middle 80s. Tomorrow, and the warm up will continue as we head through the rest of the workweek. The warmest days arriving by wednesday and thursday and then the sharp drop in temperatures will kick in. Lets take a look at the sevenday forecast. We will drop the map out of the way. Focus on all of the really wild swings in temperatures that we will see over the next several days, a couple days in the 90s, wednesday, thursday, most inland locations and back down to the 70s by saturday and sunday, limited chances of anything more than drizzle that will have the best chance along the coast. Near the bay, the temperatures should get up to around 80 degrees already by wednesday in San Francisco. Into the lower 80s. Other parts of the bay with the temperatures in the 80s on thursday. Then a big drop in temperatures sending the temperatures down into the 60s as we head into the weekend. Along the coast you get a couple warm days, middle to lower 70s on wednesday and thursday. Lower 60s by saturday and sunday. Again, some that mist, drizzle along the coast. Not going to add up to a trace of moisture.
