Lets look at the big picture pattern the way things stand now. Theres a big area of High Pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere that will take over. For today weve seen clouds and a weak little cold front sneaking through, but thats squeezing the atmosphere enough to produce showers farther up the coast into far Northern California and the pacific northwest, just cloud for bathe area. Tomorrows forecast highs will be above normal, low to mid80s in the santa clara valley, up to 84 degrees in morgan hill. Temperatures inland in the east bay reaching into the mid80s, mid70s near the bay in fremont and down on the peninsula should hit the low 80s in redwood city, low to mid70s in San Francisco and oakland, those temperatures very close to whats normal this time of year. Inland temperatures will be 5 to 8 degrees above normal for the middle of october, just the beginning of this warming friend and inland and the north bay, you will also warm up significantly ugthe afternoon hours tuesday. Lets look at the forecast over the next seven days and start with inland parts of the bay area where the warmup will really kick in by wednesday and thursday. Then we cool off to the 70s over the weekend. So like every other warm spell and heatwave so far this year, this one is brief lasting two or three days at most and then we cool off for a pretty nice weekend, just an outside chance of a little drizzle. The best chance over the weekend would be along the coast saturday night into sunday morning. Coastal parts of the bay area hit the 70s for a couple day and back down to the middle to low 60s next week. Thanks, paul.
