It is cold. What im wearing now is not enough. Definitely have layers for you heading out the door this morning whether you are just taking the dog on a walk real fast or if you are getting ready to head off to work. Now were in the 50s in the Santa Clara Valley and clear skies there. Also at the Golden Gate Bridge this morning at 55 degrees in the heart of San Francisco. Off to a mild start now but into this afternoon were actually going to see 80s in the east bay. And some upper 60s lower 70s in areas closer to San Francisco. So lets take a quick look at whats going on right now when it comes to the clear conditions. Just over near the Golden Gate Bridge. Its going to last for a little bit longer but then the clouds start rolling in as we head into late hours tonight. Early Morning Hours tomorrow. Friday will be a more densely cloudy day and then once we head into late friday night, just as everyone is getting off work. Off of school no matter what you are doing tomorrow evening. Areas lake our coast, all the way along the north bay actually from santa rosa down south. Were going to see just a light setup of showers rolling its way in as we set up for early saturday morning. And then saturday morning is that partial eclipse is happening, we are expecting cloudy skies. I know such a bummer right . Just make sure if you are going to check it out or at least attempt to, you do have the eclipse glasses handy and ready to go. This is what we have early this morning. The rain that were talking about, late friday night, early saturday morning, it doesnt amount to much. If anything along the coast, all the way up into the north bay, about 0. 01 of rain. So nothing too impressive but i want to take us up to the north bay real fast because daytime highs today are a lot women than yesterday. 80s back in the forecast in areas like napa and upper 70s over into petaluma and novato. And heading south closer to that beautiful Golden Gate Bridge, which like i showed you you can see the whole thing right now, were going to be sitting in the 70s this afternoon. Beautiful for us today and lets head a little bit more inland and all the way off into the east bay. 81 today in antioch and last but in the at least heading south along the Santa Clara Valley, were actually going to see more 80s there too. Specifically in san jose. Lets take a look at the next seven days and this is great to show you kind of daybyday in these tubes. 80s today and 70s as we head into the forecast for friday. And into saturday. And were flirting back and forth with 70s and 80s into next week. With partly cloudy skies right around the corner for us. So mild for us as we head into the next couple of days and it feels like fall and it definitely will b noticeable along our coastline and just along the bay. 70s this afternoon and cooling down into the 60s by tomorrow. Then were in the low 70s from there on out. Well keep you updated on that forecast. Not too bad in some spots and we are tracking brake lights for supercommuters especially. The area coming out of tracy getting into the altamont pass. That is already slow this morning and you can see in the caltrans camera there traffic is backed up and a lot of brake lights there. Same story for the bay bridge toll plaza. Thats starting to get a little bit slow. The metering lights were turned on just a couple of minutes ago. And now that backup is starting to build. So if you are getting ready to hop on the freeways, maybe your ride takes you into San Francisco via the bridge, you might want to grab the jacket and coffee and get going. Even more crowded across the upper deck heading into the city. A live look here at the richmondsan rafael bridge. You can notice they still have the lanes blocked off to the side there. That was due to an earlier crash it happened actually on monday earlier this week. But repairs continue to the toll booths there. You still have the four lanes open to travel through there. But traffic has been a little bit busier than usual. So definitely plan for that as you make that ride between 80 and 101 towards marin county. All right, thats a look at this morning drive. And here in california, earthquakes, well we know they are inevitable. Today the office of Emergency Services kicks off its great california shakeout tour.
