check that out in the future cast coming up in just a minute. let's take a look outside looking east, plenty of sunshine breaking, there are the high temperatures for today, which were not all that high, only in the low to mid 50s, average high temperatures are in the low to mid 60s. 57 degrees was the warmest location on the map at santa rosa, temperatures are pretty much the same territory right now, cool spots half moon bay at living more, 56 degrees the warm spot. it is 51 at sfo, downtown is said to be warmer at 32 degrees. they have dies down from where they were earlier today, santa rosa and likely wednesday will be chilly as well. a good recovery for the chilly start. the exception right along the coast, you will still be on the cool side with highs in the lower half of the 50s, upper 50s for the southbay with near 60 degrees high temperatures and the santa clara valley, even up to around 61 or 62 in san jose, temperatures inland mostly low 60s, the cold spots in the tri-valley reaching up into the upper 50s but it will feel about the same. mid to upper 50s for the central bay and right around xt for most of the north bay. five degrees below normal but with plenty of sentient overhead, and lighter wind compared to today and it will hopefully feel warmer. temperatures a little cooler as you had farther north. that next chance of rain, not going to be with us yet until thursday so we get to enjoy plenty of sunshine tomorrow and a gradual increasing cloud cover overhead on wednesday but the rain is still going to be hanging out way over the pacific by 8:00 wednesday evening. some showers trying to make their way into the north bay but the bulk of the more substantial rain will move in after the sun comes up thursday morning and most of the day on thursday is looking pretty wet. some pockets of heavy rain embedded within this, it is not going to last for several days. basically wednesday and one night of a good rain chance with a few showers lingering early on friday morning but then it gets out of here and we will be drying out for the long- term, 8 to 14 day outlook which takes us close to the end of march shows us a significant chance of below average precipitation, not just for the bay area but for most of the west coast and really much of the western u.s., so it squeezes much moisture out as it possibly can. few early showers still possible and we dry out for the weekend, a little rain chance on monday but it is not zero so that is something to focus on in the long-term. how much rain we actually expect thursday and
