Chopper 5 was over the detention hall in san jose and in morgan hill and Officials Say at least 13 people, including staff have tested positive. They are trying to figure out where this all got started and how it spread to both facilities. Lets take a live look in san jose where the mayor Just Announced a new program to help first time homebuyers. They teamed up with wells fargo to provide millions of dollars in grants to low and middle income residents. 25,000 to help via home, and if the homeowner lives in the house for five years, that money will not have to be paid back. This new extension is expected to help around 400 residents across the bay area. After decades of debate developers can move forward on a project to build Housing Units on some of the most toxic land in california. The Richmond City council has approved the permits and Development Agreement yesterday. The plan is to build thousands of homes and up to 50,000 square feet of retail space on the waterfront site. This land was once used to produce sulfuric acid and became a toxic dumping site. Meanwhile in oakland the City Council Just voted unanimously to ban natural gas in new apartment and commercial buildings. The goal is to transition to all electric. Existing buildings are not impacted. Nearly 40 california cities including berklee and San Francisco have approved similar restrictions. Looking live at San Francisco, this week city leaders voted in favor of a proposal that would ban smoking in vaping tobacco in apartments. It would apply to buildings with three or more units. The rain chances will be staying well to the north for about the next 10 days. There are some hints that may be we will get into a bit of a more unsettled weather pattern in the middle of the month, but that is still a long way down the line. Temperatures topped out in the low to mid 60s in most locations with fairfield getting up to 71. 66 for concord and san jose. Even San Francisco time to 63 and 65 in Half Moon Bay. Most temperatures right now are in the 50s, Still Holding 62 in oakland and concord. Now that the sun has been down for an hour the temperatures will drop quickly but that little layer of clouds overhead will keep us from dropping too far. Mostly upper 30s to mid 40s for tomorrow morning, despite the intermittent cloud cover tomorrow, temperatures will still warm up into the low 60s in San Francisco with more and more sunshine as we head into the afternoon. Just a few passing clouds and hopefully another pretty sunset for us. Temperatures in san jose should reach mid 60s for highs. Santa rosa should reach about 65 or 66 as well, but a chillier start in the morning. But temperatures will climb really fast throughout the first half of the day. Temperatures and concord also reaching the mid 60s. Right along the coast temperature should get up to around 60 degrees, maybe not quite as warm as 65 that we had in Half Moon Bay today, but still above average for the beginning of december. Low to mid 60s across the board, with the warmest spots getting up to just 70 degrees. Farther down the line we are keeping an eye on the possibility of strong when developing, keep an eye on the colors in the background indicating higher gusts in the north bay mountains and east bay hills. I will be a concern because its been a couple of weeks since weve seen rain and as the fire feels dry out more and more we have to be on the lookout for any potential for high fire danger.
