This is fillmore and waller. Neighbors say a police car and another car came speeding into the intersection, police car hitting a hydrant and the other car crashed into the garage of another house. We did see an ambulance leaving the scene about an hour and a half ago. At this point, no word on how many people were injured in the crash and if a Police Officer was among the injured. What theyre seeing is while they have seen cancellations tick up in the last couple weeks, those cancellations are being out paced by new bookings. People are deciding they are going to travel for thanksgiving. How many . It will certainly be fewer than last year. Airlines are gearing up for what will be their busiest week since the pandemic began. We are talking six to seven, eight million travelers as opposed to the 30 million plus we saw go through airports last thanksgiving. Maybe a third of the volume but more than what airlines are typically seeing right now. A big difference. Delta is making a push to ease fears by extending the middle seat blockade. How are other airlines planning to keep passengers safe . Reporter delta is really breaking with the industry by extending middle seat blocking program through the end of march. All the other airlines that were blocking seats are phasing that out between now and early january. Delta will be the only airline continuing to block middle seats when we get to 2021. Right now you have several carriers still doing that including southwest. All the airlines have implemented enhanced cleaning procedures. In many cases theyre disinfecting planes after every flight as well as a deep cleaning overnight. You have the fulltime race system on board an airplane that completely cycles air through every two or three minutes. It goes through a hospital grade hepa filter. Research tells us the way the air flows in the filtering process really reduces spread of a virus particularly if everyone is wearing masks. I have new information on the crash that started as a High Speed Police chase. Two officers and the suspect are in the hospital. Police say this started at castro and market and ended in the lower hate district about three hours ago. This is from fill more and waller where the blue car that police were chasing crashed into a second patrol unit that was just in the area before crashing into a house. The suspect was taken into custody and taken to the hospital first with injuries described as life threatening. The two officers in the patrol suv were also taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. At this point, police have not said what exactly started this police chase which neighbors say got up to speeds of up to 60 miles per hour. We are waiting for more information on that. Back to you. Its a big deal because they only have about ten schools in all. The parents are trying to figure out how they ended up on the top of the closure list. Everywhere we go. Reporter families plan to march again tonight like they did here two weeks ago. Theyre angry saying the district did not properly notify them about the process. Families say reports from a School Closure committee did not get translated to spanish and left them in the dark. The school lost nearly district has lost students. A report found that the district has had a lot of staff turn over, superintendents, board members, Department Heads. Thats led to a lack of planning and management. Theyre facing 6 million deficit.
