Rain chances in San Francisco are going to go back up as we get past midnight and the scattered showers continue to develop offshore and head towards us with more offandon activity in the forecast tomorrow. As kpix 5s reporter tells us, Health Officials are hoping that if one rushes out to get tested. Reporter as we head into the holiday season, yes, the county is wrapping up covid testing. They say that is no excuse for bad behavior. Reporter the testing set at the Santa Clara County fairgrounds is the single largest facility that bay area. A tense, samples from a nonstop parade of cars. Room to grow, about to get a whole lot busier. We are making plans to get a 5000 in early december. Holy cow, that is a lot of tests. A lot of tests. Reporter dr. Kong, oversees the countys testing sentences, they will wrap up testings at the facilities next week. Currently, 2500 per day. By next week, increased to 3000 per day and by early december, maxing out at 5000 per day. At least three times a week is what they plan for. We anticipate high demands for testing next week. This will be among those who are engaging in thanks giving plans and we also want to make sure we have capacity for those who have symptoms, those who have been exposed. Reporter the fairground, they will expand hours into the Early Morning and add a second day shift. He was something new to the bay area. The same covid sample will also be used to test for the flu. Just like San Francisco, Santa Clara County is also discouraging the use of public testing for Holiday Travel. There are many reasons right now i travel is not advised. The biggest reason is just due to the Public Health risk. Anybody taking a test, thinking that they can meet up with her family during the holidays, guess what .
