Happened at 2 00 this morning on east itnd street by 780. Paramedics came and tried to save the man who was hit but he did die there at the scene. They have not identified that pedestrian but say is he a white man between 30 and 40. The officer also is not been identified but police say that he was not injured. He was on duty but was not responding to any calls at the time of that crash. The interim police chief saying that it was obviously a tragic incident for all involved and he is sending his deepest sympathies for the victims family and loved ones. This is under investigation right now by both the california Highway Patrol and the Solano CountyDistrict Attorney. That entire area at 780 and east 2nd street.
