So about those competing town halls, nbc news is facing backlash for hosting a town hall meeting tonight with the president at the very same time abc is hosting one with joe biden. Critics say that the move will disenfranchise viewers who want to watch both events. Some people on social media are calling for a boycott of nbc. The network scheduled its town hall with the president after abc had already booked biden. Right now what it appears is nbc is sticking to its plan. Today is the deadline for the California Republican party to remove unofficial ballot boxes placed in several counties with competitive u. S. House races. Democratic state leaders call the boxes misleading and illegal. Gop Officials Say that theyre acting within the states ballot harvesting law that allows people to collect ballots from voters and turn them in. A spokesperson for the California Republican party said that they will not remove the boxes. The president s son baron is said to be doing well after he was diagnosed with coronavirus. The revelation was made in a short essay written by his mother, melania trump. She said baron had no symptoms and has since tested negative. The first lady wrote that she experienced body aches and headaches, but was treated with vitamins and healthy food. As coronavirus cases though rise in most states across the country, hawaii is relaxing some rules for tourists. Starting today, travelers no longer have to quarantine for two weeks once landing in the big island. That rule had been in effect since march 26th.
