Cbs news has also confirmed that the president was administered supplemental oxygen at the white house on friday, before he was flown to walter reed in the evening. Its not clear if the president was having trouble breathing at that time. President comes physician dr. Sean connolly deflected questions on that topic. Hes not on oxygen now. And if you look at the air quality sensors, you see a clear pattern on here, from left to right, the air quality is better to worse. In other words, we are seeing all the moderates on the coast and the immediate bay, its good in the far north bay. But the further inland you go, the deeper the colors start to shade and if we take a closer look at the san jose, you are still in this, you still have unhealthy air quality but look what happens as you get further up the peninsula. The further inland you go, the worse it gets, so for the tri valley we are still unhealthy and if we go up to the diablo valley, its a little better here now, you are getting some influence from the delta but youve still got unhealthy for sensitive groups but look at the numbers here, for the city and the immediate east bay, we will take yellow, yellow tells at its moderate but the greens are what we want. We are seeing that in sonoma but certainly not in wine country, deep reds, i will show you, that is the smoke filtering down from the glass fire. And if you look ahead you see more blue sky today, and look at the difference in the temperatures, san jose, its still hazy down here and as a result your temperatures didnt change all that much but the numbers in the column, show you how much warmer we were today from yesterday. It was supposed to be cooler if you just looked at the weather without the smokes influence. But if you clear out all the smoke, youve got moderate sunlight and the temperatures went up as a result. Thankfully theres not as much today and you did feel the warm up by about 10 degrees if youre inland, mentioned the red flag warning, this was issued by the National Weather service at 4 00 this afternoon. So we are back in the northbay, this does not look terribly bad, it doesnt look like its going to be a major offshore wind event but while we were allowed to see the red flag warning expire early this morning, they put it back up again, until we get into the afternoon tomorrow. If you look at the wind speeds, its breezy, we got very dry conditions appear and i think that the primary concern. The wind will be a factor for the next 24 hours. But keep your fingers crossed, not too much of an overwhelming factor. I think its out try things will get, we will see relative humiditys plummet in the next few hours. So thats the story in the northbay, as far as the smoke thats filtering through the rest of the bay area, heres good news, we are going to play this forward into tomorrow and you see a strong onshore search that helps clear out a lot of the groundlevel smoke for the majority of the bay area, theres still in the bay area, there will be smoke continuing to drift down the hillsides, especially considering with the red flag warning, the winds will be able to fan it more, so we are not out of the major air quality concern yet, even though its gotten noticeably better and it will stay that way for much of the bay area for the next few days. And all eyes are going to turn to a chance for rain at the end of the sevenday forecast. Theres not a whole lot thats going to happen weatherwise for much of the next week but by saturday, the leftovers from the hurricane are going to get drawn in to a classic fall weather system coming into the west coast, right here, they meet up, they start driving the rain and if you look at saturday, thats very good looking. The bright yellows tell you that is not just a light sprinkle, this would be a good wincing rain if this comes together and theres the possibility for snow. Everything i just said now has to come with a caveat. Its early. Today saturday, im showing you the forecast for next saturday, typically, thats never a good idea. We are seven days out, but for the last day and a half theres been a lot of agreement in the two major models that forecast these and thats a good sign. Weve got the first model here showing us a good amount of rain for saturday, thats the gfs model, i dont want to get too much inside baseball but heres the other models, the two most significant models and theyre both fairly confident, not just today but about the last 36 hours, that its going to come together this way.
