Just 750 in 2016 and 2017 and nothing at all in 10 out of the 15 years before that. Data also shows he claimed major losses on his businesses even as he publicly said they were thriving. And that he may be under severe financial pressure in the next few years with hundreds of millions in loans reportedly set to come due. These are some extraordinary findings because they tell a very different story about the president and his business organizations than the one he has sold to the American Public over decades. According to these new documents in 10 of the previous 15 years, the president paid no income tax, largely because his businesses reported losing much more money than they actually earned. President trump in a press conference sunday denied a New York Times report that claims he only payed 750 in income tax in 2016 and 2017. Its totally fake news. Made up. Fake. Im going to release many things and people will be really shocked. Reporter the New York Times obtained tax return data extending over more than two decades and found mr. Trump paid lower taxes using questionable tactics, including a 72. 9 million refund that is currently being audited by the irs. While claiming losses for 15 of his namesake businesses, including his golf courses, mr. Trump has maintained a lavish lifestyle by taking Tax Deductions on what some people would consider personal expenses. Including housing, aircraft and 70,000 in hairstyling for television appearances. Even though President Trump vowed to no longer pursue any new business once elected, according to the New York Times, he made 73 million from foreign deals during his first two years in the white house. In a statement to cbs news, allen garten, an attorney for the trump organization, said the New York Times story is riddled with gross inaccuracies. Over the past decade, the president has paid tens of millions of dollars in personal taxes to the federal government. He also said the times rejected our repeated request that they show us any of the documentation. Though the paper says it declined to provide records in order to protect its sources. The president has long refused to release his tax returns. The first president in modern history not to do so. I will release my tax returns against my lawyers wishes when she releases her 33,000 emails that have been deleted. As soon as she releases them, i will release. I will release my tax returns. And has frequently made his argument against releasing them. Theyre under audit, and when theyre not, i will be proud to show them. Reporter however, an audit does not prevent the president from releasing his records. Democrats seized on the new reports. Chuck schumer tweeted, raise your hand if you paid more in federal income tax than President Trump . These new records suggest that the financial pressures on President Trump are mounting as hundreds of millions of dollars in loans he personally guaranteed are coming due. Now usually excessive debt is seen as a potential National Security vulnerability for Public Servants because it could open you up potentially to outside influence. Now in addition to that irs audit, the president and his Justice Department continue to fight subpoenas by new york state seeking other tax records and financial documents, all of which could potentially open the president up to criminal liability. All right, nancy. Thank you. Strong winds are driving a new fastmoving wildfire in northern californias wine country. The socalled glass fire began yesterday before dawn and burned through acres of vineyards and threatened hundreds of homes. One hospital had to evacuate dozens of patients when the flames got dangerously close. Jonathan vigliotti is tracking the damage. The glass fire more than doubled in size as the sun went down sunday bearing down on the town of deer park, which is under mandatory evacuation orders. Warning. Fire evacuation in progress. The video obtained by vice news seems to show a possible violation of Police Policy after the shooting. Cbs news obtained other evidence showing the one shot fired by taylors boyfriend may not have hit an officer as the kentucky general claims. Reporter over the weekend, never before seen body camera footage obtained and rlgsed by vice news appears to show Brett Hankison who was involved in the raid that killed Breonna Taylor walking into the crime scene after the incident. If hankison was at the scene, that would be a violation of Police Policy which states officers involved in shootings are to be isolated from all nonessential individuals for the remainder of the initial investigation. Tremendously shocking. Reporter angela pinto is an activist with the group until freedom that workss with taylors family. He says the video is troubling. It looks like, and i think its clear in some instances that a lot of departmental policies were being violated. Reporter an attorney for the officer being shot shows the body camera videos dont show anything substantial. The officer still acted in legal selfdefense. This state document races additional questions. A portion of the Kentucky State Police ballistics report obtained by cbs news appears to not support state attorney general Daniel Camerons assertion that taylors boyfriend, kenneth walker, definitively shot Sergeant Jonathan mattingly the night taylor was killed. The bullet that hit mattingly was neither identified nor eliminated as having been fired from walkers gun. Steve romines says hes seen the full report. Theres evidence that the shot hit the carpet in the apartment. Reporter walker was charged with attempted murder of a Police Officer but the case was dropped without prejudice. Walkers cocounsel fred rick moore says this means the state could charge him again if they see fit. They cant prove what kenny knew when he fired the shot, right . Which is the element essentially for attempted murder. Reporter its unclear if the ballistics report or the body camera footage were presented to the grand jury which decided wednesday not to charge anyone with taylors death. They have filed a motion for all the evidence presented to them to be released. An attorney for Brett Hankison who will be, arraigned today has never seen a ballistics report, adding, unlike a lot of lawyers, i do not try my cases in the press. I try them based on evidence in the courtroom. The internal investigation is ongoing. So many questions in this case. Thats one of the reasons people are still marching in the streets because they want full transparency to see what evidence the grand jury was presented with. Absolutely. The shady fire burning in the hills east of santa rosa has prompted mandatory evacuations. Overnight, the fire crept toward santa rosa and is pushing right up against highway 12. That is the road thousands of evacuees are using now to escape. 2000 residents have been forced to leave their homes in napa county and dozens of hospital patients have been evacuated. So far the glass fire has exploded in size to 11,000 acres. It is 0 contained. Hours after the fire broke out yesterday, evacuees were lining up at the Crosswalk Community church in napa where they are being sent for help. Because of the wildfires, there are closures in the northbay that will affect your drive. Parts of highway 12 are shut down in santa rosa as well as 128 in the calistoga area. As far as accidents go, there are a couple of trouble spots to look out for. Eastbound looks like it is in the clearing stages so good news. A little slow at the toll plaza. The shady fire burning in the hills east of santa rosa has prompted mandatory evacuations. Over not, the fire crept toward santa rosa and is pushing right up against highway 12. That is the road thousands of evacuees are using to escape. To napa county, the classifier has now exploded in size to 11,000 acres, up from 2500 last night. Evacuation orders are in effect for all of calistoga and parts of st. Helena. Just hours after the glass fire broke out yesterday, he that weezer lining up at the Crosswalk Community church in napa. Reporter the interesting thing here, in the last hour, is that cal fire has actually classified all of these buyers as glass fire. We are working to figure out why that is but there is the possibility and has been speculation with firefighters all morning that it is possible that it started at the classifier and then embers have blown across the valley and across the ridge line. Some houses have managed to be saved, others have not. Unfortunately, this is one that has not been saved. We were live earlier and this house was fully ablaze. Just one hour and half later, look at all that is left. It is pretty sad and devastating. At this point, justin said city limits. 13,169 homes, 607 commercial buildings all threatened. They have no idea exactly how many have been lost but they are working diligently just to try to figure out how they can save everything that is left in the midst of all of this wind that they are seeing. In a specifically that area where firefighters are trying to get a handle on glass fire, looking at gusts up to 30 Miles Per Hour , relative humidity values down to 10 . An extreme fire danger with the red flag warning for the northbay, the east bay hills, and valleys up until 9 00 tonight. I have seen gusts as high as 60 Miles Per Hour up in the Higher Elevations this morning and very low relative humidity values. Everything is so dry out there as well. We are dealing with extreme heat. Heat advisory in effect for most of the bay area for today. Daytime highs will be into the 90s to triple digits, even hotter compared to yesterday. Mid90s for oakland as well as san jose. 93 for a high in San Francisco with the offshore winds, we have the fires burning right now. We are looking at hazy skies and smoky conditions. We will begin to cool it down slowly with the ocean breeze kicking in especially near normal daytime highs as we look to the weekend. The wildfires have prompted a number of closures along the santa rosa area as well as the napa county area. I want to start with highway 12. Highway 12 shut down between santa rosa and glenallen, one of our largest areas. Highway 12 looks very congested right now. There was a lot of traffic in and around that area for folks trying to leave the area. We are starting to see delays along 101 also connecting on to or from highway 12. Keep that in mind.
