As we look at the booth at the toll bridge of the Golden Gate Bridge, it is a rough go. Along the coast mid50s and it san jose at 60. We have a dense fog advisory until 9 00 a. M. Up and down the coast including San Francisco, southernmost marin with the entire mari coastle ma coastline. We will see with the rest of the forecast in a few minutes. In Solano County the flames of the lm new fire, crews are scrambling to clean up the Hazardous Materials that are hidden in the ashes of the lnu fire. Reporter the brush is still smoldering sometimes when the crews arrived. They get a first look at the toxic waste that the lnu complex fire left behind in Solano County. They look to remove the fuel, propane tanks at certain sizing chemicals, fertilizers and pesticides. Reporter overseeing the project for the county, and there are roughly370 structures burned and each one needs to be examined for chemicals. This is protective from hazmat suits as the workers carefully remove the remains of the burned solar panel. We dont want any of these things spilling getting into the ground and the groundwater. When we have it incident of significant public concern like this we want to get the video out to the public quickly. Switching into the weather forecast, of course i will talk about the smoke and the air quality. But we have a few other actual weather elements to talk about first. We have a dense fog advisory. Lets look from the top of the Salesforce Tower looking out toward the bay bridge, that is just a mix of smoking fog. It is the literal definition of smog. The smog is not bad on the bay bridge but particularly bad on the Golden Gate Bridge or anywhere near the coast where the visibility is down below a quarter mile. Temperatures are down with mid 50s and still 60 in san jose. Santa rosa is a cool 48 which tells us we have some breaks in the clouds. We have a dense fog advisory everywhere on the screen that is outlined in the gray. The city is included in this goes up to the Sonoma County coastline extending down to the san mateo coastline into santa cruz and that will stay into effect until 9 00 this morning. After the marine layer burns back and it will be tough to notice with all of this smoke but it will burn back for the immediate coast. We will see temperatures much like yesterday many mid80s far ins much of bay. You may not no different other than one exception, noticeably warmer yesterday. That really had nothing to do with the weather. That was simply because even though we are breathing in a lot of smoke at the ground, the smoke in the upper levels of the atmosphere began to clear out a little bit. The sun was able to get through more than we have seen over the last couple of days. Today is very much like that with a lot of smoke on the ground with less in the upper levels. It will be a noticeably warmer day than what most of the last week has felt like but the air quality stays this way for a while. You can see how the circles start going toward yellow by the middle of next week. We are breezy to be hopeful. In the big pattern we finally bring in something large enough and significant enough to clear some smoke out of here. If you look at the satellite it does not look like much but lets look at these clouds and the water vapor you see that ke forecast tracker on it and watch the circulation. Time is ticking by and it will take its sweet time. Buttery this week into tuesday and wednesday, most noticeably thursday we have enough of a Strong Enough area of low pressure where we pull in that onshore flow in the atmosphere to all levels of the atmosphere which is excellent news. This is what you need to start clearing out the smoke. But the big question is what the fires will be done by them. That is why smoke forecasting is very difficult business, and much harder than the weather sting.
