We are looking at dry and gusty offshore winds. That red flag warning is in effect tonight until 8 am wednesday. We will talk about what you can expect coming up in a few minutes. With temperatures expected to hit 105 to 108, concord will be using the Concord Senior Center as a cooling center to beat the heat. Some other bay area cities are opening up cooling centers, Margaret Todd center, the mills at a community center, the San Rafael Community center, the Fremont Community center and the Calistoga Community center. Pg e might have to start cutting power as changing winds might ramp up the fire danger. We have what people in the northbay should be prepared for. I am not complaining, but i am disappointed when i see there is one coming. The shut off could start tonight and last through wednesday. Record triple digit temperatures may be helping spread about two dozen major wildfires burning across the state. One fire dubbed the creek fire trapped 200 people in the Sierra National forest. The scu complex east of san jose is 92 contained and the ellen complex in sonoma, napa and solano counties is 91 contained. A smoke generating pyrotechnic device triggered a wildfire in Southern California over the weekend. The el dorado fire currently burning near oakland and San Bernardino county forced the evacuations of 3000 residents. It has scored 7300 acres. The fire is 7 contained.
