Ramos has not been asked to be special prosecutor for the other shooting. That investigation has not been completed. There have been dozens of Police Shootings in vallejo. You know, its an interesting question, we look deeply at the shootings. There has been a lot of them. That is why we are in the position we are today. Why doesnt the District Attorney just resign . If you cant trust that he can prosecute every case . We will always continue to fulfill our obligation to review cases objectively. It doesnt call for resignation. We didnt choose anybody. It is the District Attorneys obligation to prosecute these cases. So you didnt commit to Police Shootings but the District Attorney has chosen not to do what the public has trusted her to do. You are getting us in a catch22 saying we have the obligation because the public trust us but the public is demanding that we have an independent review. So that is what we are trying to do. San mateo could be the next bay area county to impose fines for those violating health orders. Fines are being proposed for people and businesses who dont wear masks. He said he will hear from folks who are concerned about their freedom. Your freedom is killing people. Your freedom of not wearing the mask, and not social distancing and going to these large parties, and gatherings, you are killing people. The penalties could range from 1003000 dollars. He will propose the fines at the next supervisors meeting on tuesday. San mateo would join other counties with all fines already enacted. To allow for more Outdoor Dining at these retailers. I think the city was admirable in their idea to do it. But they have to realize that helping some and hurting others might be kind of a risky take. The side streets have relied on the fact that there is traffic coming down the Central Street on universal avenue. Without that they have suffered. This mexican eatery was empty. They also built this extension into the street at their own expense. Roughly 35,000. Hes now circulating a petition to reopen university and plans to present it to the city council. We need them to listen to the business owners. If they dont listen to us and we all start going out of business what will the town be like . Oakland teachers are warning the school district, if they dont have a deal on Distance Learning by tomorrow, they will make their own plan. Students are set to return in over a week and its unclear what they will be returning to. The state requires districts to provide 180 days of instruction.
