Police dont need to respond to Mental Health calls, or traffic stops or interpersonal violence or issues with Substance Abuse prevention and treatment. Add resources to things like Mental Health and homelessness, those are all positive. But the idea of taking it from the Police Department thats all ready strapped dealing with those issues and Public Safety as it is just seems fool hearted. Crews found him hoisted him off the mountain and flew him to john mure medical center. He needed surgery but is expected to survive. A big brush fire got a little too close for comfort to several homes. And chopper five was flying over the scene this afternoon.
