Neighbors endured six years of construction, only to find out that these were not going to be what they expected. Signed or leased and furnished most of the units, turning the building into corporate rentals. Neighbors were furious. We were shocked as an organization and a neighborhood. In a lawsuit, the 1. 3 billion company says regulations put in place by the city and state are crippling their ability to make money. The lawsuit sites the Eviction Moratorium that prevents landlords from evicting anyone who cannot pay because of covid19, or collecting back rent until january 2021. It states these laws have had a material adverse effect, a crushing one on saunders operations, we cannot effectively market vacant units or ensure that existing tenants pay rent. Low temperatures are going to be much cooler than the current temperatures in most locations, most of us are in the middle 50s, warming up inland, still below average for this time of year and barely above 60 along the coast. We have lower to middle 60s on the south bay. The very warmest spot may be touching the middle 80s. The warmest locations are east of the diablo range, right around 80 degrees for the tri valley and the bay. Lower to middle 60s around the city, upper 60s on the east side of the bay with lower to middle 70s for the north bay. Temperatures are below normal, not claiming a lot, the clouds are going to be tough to shake along the bay and along the coast with a little bit more sunshine and slightly warmer conditions as we get into the weekend.
