We are monitoring blazes in south Santa Clara County right now. Smoke is rising from a fire that has over 600 acres north of gilroy. It has prompted evacuations. It started this afternoon. Fire crews are sending in more planes and they are getting some help from the ground. Evacuations have been ordered. And fire crews are teaming on a wind whipped blaze. And at last worked on the containment was up to 50 . A fire erupted off east dunn lake, anderson reservoir. More than 300 firefighters are attacking the flames, planes are dumping fire retardant, and the smoke counted and air quality advisory. Residents are advised to stay indoors. Dry, hot, windy conditions are making for a challenging firefighter. The cause remains on people setting off fireworks in the area. And San Francisco police are investigating a tragic shooting that took the life 6yearold boy in the bayview neighborhood last night. They found the boy suffering from a gunshot wound. Police found a second time, an adult man was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. So far there is no word on what led up to the shooting.
