Black Community Leaders demanding action on several fronts including defunding the sheriff, jails, and district attorney. The supervisor said the cuts to the department are likely any way because of the covid19 pandemic. I think by august you will see te ofns cu in rectiof e dollars to try to help people. We dont want promises of equity in the future. We want to be compensated for everything taken from us. The council has created a subcommittee on race and inclusion. They look at Community Outcomes on homelessness, mental health, and substance abuse. Happening today, the San Francisco School District is looking to cut ties with the Police Department. This morning the board will decide on a resolution that would remove armed officers from School Campuses and redirect the funds and resources to supportive services. Oakland unified School District could be making the same changes, and the board is set to vote, tomorrow. A disturbing scene out of san jose. This Morning Police are looking for a woman who intentionally coughed on a baby at a frozen yourt shop. The Surveillance Video shows the womaside of the shop. She was upset because the mother was not maintaining proper social distancing. She pulled down her mask, got close to the babys face, and coughed several times. Thats disgusting to be honest. You dont take your mask off and start coughing on people. Especially if you do it on purpose. Thats not okay. Then youre going to get everyone else sick, and like my daughter, she has one. Every time the police tried to protect one store, looters were on to the next, traveling in what looked like an organized caravan of cars. Going business to business and clearing out looters. By the time we were two businesses away, they were back in the first business, and it was whackamole all night. He said the looting seemed well organized with the same ammo as across the bay, and among the crowd, some faces looked familiar. They happened in sequence, downtown oakland on friday, emeryville and San Francisco on saturday, and walnut creek and san leandro on sunday, and richmond and fairfield on monday. From what our cameras observed, some looters like these seemed to be grabbing what they want for their own living room, much like any other sales crowd, except everything was free.
