Ou] owin is a pd rtist u by purity products. bouncy music air whooshing hello, and welcome to the show. My name is jason kam. And this is purity products. Im joined here with jahn levin, president of purity products. Pleasure to be here. Thanks, jason. And dr. Ken redcross md is with us. Thank you, jason. Its wonderful to be here with you guys. And guys, we have got a ton of information to get to. Jahn i know you wanna jump right in, you wanna play laughs a little game of true or false. So, why dont you start us off . I really did. Im gonna start off with you, dr. Redcross. All right. Even if you know the answer, okay. Dont answer it. Let our viewers see if they know. Okay. Okay. Is there a mineral out there or even just a mild deficiency. Okay. Could be considered a Public Health crisis . Okay. Dont answer. All right, all r jason, youre ready. Dont answer. I got one for you. Is there a nutrient out there where its hard to get enough of it, even with a healthy diet . And then ill ask you one more time, doc. I think you know this, but true false. Is there a mineral out there that might be mompornt for our bones than calcium . And so, now that weve set the stage here, you take it away. All right whats on our plate today . Im gonna stop the suspense here guys, cause i cant really stay still. Because there is a mineral that does that. That is that important and the mineral were going to talk about, is actually magnesium. Now, magnesium is so fascinating because magnesium is in each, in every cell in our body, but more importantly, we kinda call it the governor of the cells, because its actually important for over 300 biochemical reactions. And, were talking about things for our heart health, for our eyes, even our mood, sleep and relaxation. Even energy though. I was reading once where magnesium may be more important for helping the body and the cells generate atp in the mitochondria. , int everyone kinda knoboats towerh. P it starts as amp, adp and then you need magnesium to make sure we get to atp, which is for energy. So its a really big deal. So, people say its actually as important as coq10. And were gonna learn that magnesium is like a cornerstone for energy today. It absolutely is. So theres a lot of things it does. And energy is a big one. Youve got to have it. And like we said, there are millions of people out there who are deficient in magnesium. Most of us arent getting enough in our diet. Were gonna get into why a little bit later on in the show. Dr. Redcross, you said that magnesium is involved in around 300 or so. I think its actually more than that. More than 300. Well say 300 biochemical reactions in the body. So, its a lot of ground for us to cover. You say cardiovascular health. Twadown tnumber one ae. Wel r so, why dont you take the ball and run with that . Why is magnesium so important for our hearts . But youre right, the seven that weve chosen today are an important ones. Were gonna start with cardio health, because what we know, is that we know that calcium constricts and we know that magnesium relaxes. And, what other places that more important than our heart and our blood vessels . Exactly. So look, the heart beats over 100,000 times a day, so that lets you know how important magnesium is for us. And its also important, that those blood vessels are able to relax because we want healthy blood pressure. And thats something that magnesium can help to support. I remember you sent me the article from the framingham study. And this is like a longitudinal study, it goes on for decades. [redcross] yeah. And they concluded, that theres like a pretty significant cardiovascular support benefit, when people are getting more magnesium in tal, janet than l nt me an article about maybe, it was a year ago that kinda changed my life. This was from the british journal of medicine, in there like an open heart edition. And the subject matter was, that a subclinical magnesium deficiency is considered a principal driver of cardiovascular concerns. Remember this . So were talking about. Because i always thought, well, how many people are really deficient or low in magnesium . How many people like 10 , 20 . No. Its more. [jason] why . Why . Why are so many people deficient . Well, ill tell you, this while were talking, i wish it were 10 to 20 , but were really talking up to 60, 70, 80 its a lot of people who are deficient in magnesium. And, when we still talk about the heart, lets recognize this, magnesium is so important for potassium to work properly and for calcium to work properly. I remember when i was a student, it was funny. I was a resident i trained here in new york at columbia. And one of the things we used to always realize with the resident, when you had a patient that was low in potassium, we would start a potassium, but it wouldnt go up. And i never forget my attending saying, well, did you check the magnesium . Because what happens is that, you have to have magnesium at the optimal level in order for those nutrients to do what they need to do in the cardiac muscle in particular. Right. Right. So, even back then it underscored im anw, twerrealing theres so many of us are deficient, we have to change that. And, i think its an interesting word they chose a subclinical deficiency. Not even a major. Yeah mild. Even just a mild, to moderate deficiency, 70, 80 of us not getting enough and right its hard to get in our food supply. [ jason] right, what foods even have high dose. [redcross] well, its tough, but okay. Obviously some green leafy vegetables, but other things such as mung beans. And i remember jason sent me an article that even things like coffee, alcohol can deplete the body of magnesium. So here we are tryna find foods that have it, but were doing things like sugary soft drinks, coffee, inadvertently, were making it worse. So, heres the thing. Its not in our soil. Were not eating foods in it. It is not in our multivitamin. If you want to be sufficient in magnesium, you have to supplement with it. You have to choose the right supplement. Were gonna tell you about our product here today, magblue in a little bit. Sure. But before we do, i wanna get into reason number six. Sure. Which relates back and well combine, im g wemoving already . laughs theres a lot to cover. So lets combine reason, six and five. Okay. Mood and brain function. [redcross] oh, yes. Who wants to take that . Well, i just wanna point out some interesting reading as i was you know, getting prepped for the show. The Huffington Post says, magnesium may be the most important relaxation mineral available. Yeah. So, magnesium has this capability of helping us relax, and it seems like its so good for stress. I remember you sent me an article from psychology today. Yeah. They call magnesium, what do they call . The original the original chill pill . I love that. The original chill pill, we all noticed that you know, im an eighties kid, so maybe thats just for us. But the point is, that thats what magnesium is really able to do for us. I mean, we all would like to chill and have less stress and magnesium can actually do that. And, its important to understand physiologically, how you t benefits becathed abo y thinabouveuch a r undewith number n. Ogically, theyre not checking magnesium. Right, and i know its not part of the routine or panel its hard to measure. I know theres research, its very hard to measure magnesium. Whats also really interesting is magnesium when it helps us relax and unwind, especially at the end of the night. And i dont wanna get too far ahead, really good for sleep. So, well get into magnesium were gonna get into sleep, sleep quality lets do that later. Very deeply in a few minutes but, weve got to get to this product. Puritys introducing a new product here. Its called magblue. [redcross] yeah. And, it is the ultimate way to inexpensively and powerfully get magnesium. Id really like to get a little bit deeper into magblue. Jahn, magblue its one of your favorite, hot new products. Take it from here. Tell everyone about magblue. But jay, what we did was something thats never been done with magnesium before. Its the magnesium bisglycinate buffered chelate. This is the most elite, or one of the most elite magnesium available. 18 bioavailable versus 4 . So, that means. Yeah, thats important. We get a lot more magnesium into much smaller tablets. But we didnt stop there. We said lets do things that also make a lot of sense with magnesium. Lets put in some cofactors. Weve got 2000 units of vitamin d because if youre low on magnesium, heres a very good chance youre low on vitamin d. We have the zinc. We have the boron, weve got these beautiful blue tablets because we also added these blueberries from alaska. Now, people know blueberries, blueberries are great for the Brain Science brain berries. Yeah, the people call them brain berries. Brain berries. Sciencedaily says, if you wanna have support your brand, you will look on the screen here. Blueberries support the brain. So, we put these alaskan blueberries in here and it makes such an incredible dynamic formula. It all igblue. Power in these blueberries incredible dynamic formula. Compared to blueberries at lower latitudes. When i spoke to dr. Maureen mckenzie at aurorablue, where these blueberries come from, again, theyre handpicked its like she told me, we have to watch out for the grizzly bears, when people are going out hand picking these things. At certain times of year theres competition for blueberries, no grizzly bears are hurt here. I wanna make that perfectly clear. But, its like a bit of a sport. Get your blueberries, bring them in. They weigh them. They harvest them. Its cold, bright. Its an amazing process. We have the equivalent here in magblue of what she calls a handful of aurorablue, alaskan blueberries. Thats the antioxidant equivalent of what youre getting in every serving, just a couple of tablets of magblue. And of course the blueberries with this blueberry coding that youll see on the tablet, we call it this slip tech coating. They go down so smoothly, it was amazing, really. I was just going to say, half the people that talk about this product are talking about how easy they are to swallow because theyre small tablets and this blue tech or a slip Tech Technology as you call it, boom goes right down. Easy to swallow. I gotta say, you know, people take minerals oftentimes
